>The Israeli cabinet has voted unanimously to close Al Jazeera’s operations in the country. The communications minister says the orders against the network “will go into effect immediately”. Al Jazeera Media Network calls the move a “criminal act that violates human rights”.
<Hamas says this round of truce negotiations in Cairo has ended, as chief Ismail Haniyeh blames Netanyahu for “sabotaging” talks.
>The Palestinian group says it wants guarantees from the United States that Israel will not launch a ground invasion in Rafah, as officials in Israel – which is yet to send a delegation to Cairo – insist the attack will happen regardless of whether a ceasefire deal is reached.
<Meanwhile, Israeli antigovernment protesters are demanding that Netanyahu agree to a truce and bring back captives held in Gaza.
>At least 34,683 Palestinians have been killed and 78,018 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from Hamas’s October 7 attacks stands at 1,139, with dozens of people still held captive.

Islamic Resistance in Iraq:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Permission [to fight] has been granted to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory."
In continuation of our path to resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on the afternoon of Saturday, 04-05-2024, targeted the port of Haifa in our occupied lands using an Al-Arqab advanced cruise missile.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirms its continuation in striking the enemy's strongholds.
"And victory is only from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Mighty and Wise."

Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades:
Al-Qassam Brigades bombard gatherings of enemy forces at the "Kerem Shalom" site and its surroundings with the 114mm short-range Rajoom rocket system.
Zionist media reported a dangerous security incident at "Kerem Shalom," describing it as "unusual," after it was targeted by Al-Qassam Brigades, and military censorship has been imposed on the site of the operation and the number of injured.
Sources reported at least 10 casualties including 4 critical injuries, while military helicopters have been seen evacuating wounded soldiers after the resistance rocket strike. At least two IOF soldiers were reported killed by zionist media.
On the 212th day of the war, the resistance continues to inflict painful blows on the occupation.
The resistance's direct targeting of a military base in "Kerem Shalom" was carried out with at least 10 shells, which resulted in at least 10 injuries among IOF soldiers, including 3 dead and 4 critical injuries.
A zionist source wrote:
"Hamas's response to the exchange deal proposal is dead soldiers at the 'Kerem Shalom' site."
Security and field sources for Al-Aqsa TV stated that confirmed information from the resistance reports at least 3 deaths and around 10 moderate to severe injuries.
According to the information, the operation targeted a recently established zionist command post east of the "Kerem Shalom" military site, aimed at managing bombing operations that targeted the Rafah governorate two weeks ago and planning the Rafah operation, including officers from the Shin Bet and zionist generals.
Occupation forces left the injured and dead at the site without intervention for about an entire hour due to the ongoing policy of sporadic bombing, which was adopted by the operational plan and is continuing as of 2:40 PM.
In another security incident, IOF helicopters were seen evacuating wounded soldiers from the eastern "Netzarim" axis, south of Gaza City.
Hamas:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
The current round of negotiations in Cairo has just concluded, and the delegation of Hamas movement will leave Cairo tonight to consult with the movement's leadership.
The delegation handed over the movement's response to the brother mediators in Egypt and Qatar, with whom they held in-depth and serious discussions.
The movement affirms its positive and responsible handling, its eagerness and determination to reach an agreement that meets the national demands of our people, ends the aggression completely, achieves the withdrawal from the entire Gaza Strip, the return of the displaced, intensifies relief, begins reconstruction, and accomplishes a prisoner exchange deal.
Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas
Sunday: 26 Shawwal 1445H
Corresponding: 05 May 2024
Hamas leader Osama Hamdan to Al-Arabi:
There is progress in the negotiations, and the movement's delegation is leaving Cairo to consult with its leadership.
The operation at “Kerem Shalom” is a message to the occupation that the consequences of any adventure its army might commit will not be as it imagines.
“Israel” tried to focus on the exchange issue and did not respond to the points we raised.
The movement discussed all ideas with an open mind in Cairo and provided clear and specific answers to serve the interests of our people.
The resistance is capable of continuing more than the occupation imagines.
The number of IOF soldiers wounded in the Al-Qassam Brigades operation targeting the "Kerem Shalom" IOF site has increased to 14, with a number in critical condition, according to zionist media.
Three IOF soldiers have been announced killed due to the resistance rocket attack launched by Al-Qassam Brigades on the military site at "Kerem Shalom" in the settlements surrounding Gaza, according to zionist sources.
At least 14 IOF soldiers were killed and wounded in the strike.

From the camps of displacement in Rafah, Tamer Abu Musa successfully defended his Master's thesis.
In the 400 person strong "Palestine Camp," in the Geneina neighborhood of Rafah where 1 million displaced Gazans reside, 41-year-old Tamer set up a temporary tent to host his examiners, who decided to grant him his Master's degree in Educational Counseling after he defended his thesis, titled "Psychological immunity as an intermediary variable between psychological stress and motivation for achievement among educational counselors in the southern governorates of Palestine."
Tamer, a student at the destroyed Al-Azhar University in northern Gaza, defended his 160 page thesis from his tent, which was covered in notes, criticisms, and guidance.
Tamer is a father of four. He stated that he is happy to earn his degree from the tent, and that this achievement is a strong message that he, the students, and universities are steadfast on their land and will not be prevented by massacres from completing their education.
Tamer recalled dozens of prisoners and exiled who earned their degrees despite the circumstances, stating: "We are a people who love knowledge, whether behind bars or even in displacement and deportation camp, as happened in the Marj Al-Zuhur camp in southern Lebanon."
Tamer hopes to earn a PhD in Educational counseling next. Tamer's father invited the residents of the camp to share in his joy, joining them in the tent and distributing dates. "We will not leave our land and will increase in knowledge and defiance," said his father.
Tamer's best friend, Abdel Hadi Abu Amra, was also present. He stated that Tamer was with him when he earned his degree previously, so today he is returning the favor.

The Israeli occupation army announced that 3 of its soldiers were killed and 12 other soldiers were injured in a Palestinian resistance bombing on a site near Kerem Shalom.
According to the occupation "army", the dead were Sergeants Robin Mark Mordechai Assouline and Ido Testa, from the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, and Sergeant Tal Shavit, from the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Brigade.
The occupation also acknowledged that 12 other soldiers were injured in the missile attack, including two soldiers from the 931st Battalion, and a soldier from the Shaked Battalion, who are in serious condition.
On Sunday afternoon, the Palestinian resistance carried out a qualitative operation, targeting a new gathering of the leadership of the occupation “army” in the Kerem Shalom area.
According to a source in the resistance, the targeted leadership is responsible for bombing areas in Rafah , and includes leaders in the occupation “army,” its intelligence, and the Shin Bet.
Also, the sources said, this operation is qualitative in terms of preparation, planning, and intelligence capabilities of the resistance, and it also confirms the high ability to hit the target with appropriate missiles and missiles.
She pointed out that "the operation carries multiple political and military messages, most notably the readiness of the permanent resistance to defend our people against the barbaric aggression, and military messages about the capabilities of the resistance and its steadfastness despite the occupation's constant talk about its successes."
For its part, Israeli media reported that the incident in Kerem Shalom was “dangerous,” and there was a ban on publishing information indicating the location of the shells and the casualties.
In a statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that it targeted concentrations of occupation forces at the Karm Abu Salem site and its surroundings with a 114 mm short-range “Rajum” missile system.
No.1845959
The IOF officially admitted to the killing of 3 officers and the wounding of 15 soldiers in the "Kerem Shalom" operation east of Rafah.
The operation was carried out with the Rajoom short-range rocket system by Al-Qassam Brigades. Zionist media stated that 14 rockets were fired, taking just 8 seconds to reach their targets at the "Amitai" IOF camp in "Kerem Shalom," where soldiers were undergoing preparations for the invasion of Rafah.
Despite heightened precautions by the IOF, including reducing the number of soldiers present and introducing shields, the IOF was unable to defend against the attack and suffered a high number of casualties. For unknown reasons, no interceptor missiles were fired.
Two rockets directly hit the soldiers, another barrelled into a house, while a fourth hit a power pole.

Axios: In first, Biden admin. holds ship carrying US arms to 'Israel'
Citing two Israeli officials, Axios reported that the Biden administration held up a shipment of US-made ammunition meant to transfer to "Israel" - marking a first since October 7.
The officials expressed that this raised major concerns inside the Israeli cabinet and made officials worried as to why it was held last week.
This comes as the Biden administration voiced concern regarding "Israel" invading Rafah where more than one million displaced Palestinians are sheltering after their forced displacement from Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that back in February, Biden asked "Israel" to guarantee that its forces were using American-manufactured weapons in Gaza conforming with international law, and the occupation signed a letter guaranteeing that in March despite not taking any action.
With that being said, Netanyahu, in his statement on Holocaust Remembrance Day Sunday, stated: "If we need to stand alone, we will stand alone".
Last week, two knowledgeable sources relayed that Secretary of State Antony Blinken conducted a "tough" conversation with Netanyahu regarding the Rafah invasion, during which the former said "a major military operation" in Rafah would instigate public opposition by the US and would negatively impact ties.
A day later, White House spokesman John Kirby claimed to reporters that "Israel" sees that Biden "is sincere" as he talks about the possibility of changes to US policy regarding the war "should they move ahead with some sort of ground operation in Rafah that doesn't take into account the refugees."
Just yesterday, democrat lawmakers in the United States House of Representatives urged Biden to consider halting arms sales to the Israeli regime if it does not change its approach to its war on the Gaza Strip.
88 Democratic members of Congress signed and delivered a letter to the White House, stating that Washington should take a firmer stance toward its Israeli ally. The lawmakers expressed "serious concerns regarding the Israeli government's conduct of the war in Gaza as it pertains to the deliberate withholding of humanitarian aid."
Highlighting the Israeli occupation's restriction on US-backed humanitarian aid delivery to the Gaza Strip, members of Congress said that the policy has "contributed to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe."
They also urged Biden to make it clear to the head of the Israeli regime, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that placing any hurdles in front of aid delivery to Gaza risks Israeli occupation forces' "eligibility for further offensive security assistance from the United States."
Months after Biden pledged "unwavering" support for "Israel" in October 2023, Americans are now taking significant steps against their government's backing of the Israeli regime. This dissent is evident in widespread student protests that have swept through dozens of American universities. While the protesters' demands have yet to be fully embraced by US officials, this recent letter to Biden underscores growing dissatisfaction among Democrats.
North Gaza experiencing 'full-blown famine' heading south: WFP chief
The World Food Program (WFP) has said that Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip are experiencing "full-blown famine".
The United Nations agency's Executive Director Cindy McCain made the remark during an interview for NBC, describing what Palestinians are experiencing in the northern Gaza Strip as "horror".
Although the entire Gaza Strip is besieged by Israeli occupation forces, the northern Gaza Strip has been split from the rest of the territory, after Israeli occupation forces took control of the Netzarim Axis. This has hindered the flow of aid to the northern Gaza Strip, as Israeli occupation forces have had direct control over the gateway to the north, attacking aid convoys and Palestinians queuing for aid on multiple occasions.
"There is famine — full-blown famine — in the north, and it’s moving its way south," McCain declared.
Supplies to the northern Gaza Strip have been constricted since March by Israeli occupation forces, who in that period invaded multiple hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including the al-Shifa Medical Center, and assassinated Palestinian security officials managing aid delivery processes in the area.
As a result, acute malnutrition rates among children soared from 1% to 30% from October 2023 to March 2024, while international organizations expect matters to quickly deteriorate in May.
It is worth noting that organizations such as the World Central Kitchen are only operating kitchens in the southern and central Gaza Strip, leaving Gaza City and other towns and refugee camps abandoned.
The Israeli occupation is employing several policies to make life unbearable in the northern Gaza Strip, attempting to forcibly displace Palestinians southwards by making life unbearable in the area due to the absence of basic needs.
Moreover, a US humanitarian envoy in Gaza affirmed in April that famine looms over all 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza. David Satterfield, who extensively served in the Middle East, said, "This is not a point in debate. It is an established fact, which the United States, its experts, the international community, its experts assess and believe is real."
Satterfield also noted that Rafah, in addition to the north, is currently facing the most devastating humanitarian challenge in Gaza, describing the southern region that was once dubbed a "safe zone" by the Israelis as "a miserable place to be from any health-related, shelter-related standpoint."
Hamas hinges exchange deal on written ceasefire clause: Israeli media
The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas insists on including a written clause dictating an end to the war on Gaza in the proposed prisoner exchange deal, Israeli media outlets reported on Sunday.
Yedioth Ahronoth's Telegram channel confirmed that Hamas will not accept a mediated deal that only includes guarantees of mediated talks for a permanent ceasefire with the Israeli regime.
The revelation comes against the backdrop of intensifying reports indicating that mediated negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli occupation are coming to their closing stages. However, the Resistance has made it clear that the proposed deal, which details a three-stage prisoner exchange deal and guarantees further negotiations for a ceasefire, does not meet its clear demand for a ceasefire, among other clauses.
It is worth noting that Egypt, Qatar, and the United States have been named as the guarantors of the deal.
In this context, an unnamed Egyptian source has told media outlets that the latest round of negotiations is centered around freeing Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip and ending the war on the besieged territory. The source said that the ball is now in the Israeli regime's court, adding that Hamas has requested clarification on several clauses mentioned in the proposed deal.
According to the Egyptian source, "Israel" will not send its negotiating team to Cairo, where talks are taking place until Hamas submits its response to the deal.
Israeli media outlets said that Hamas has not yet submitted its response to the proposal and continues to discuss the issue with mediators on Sunday.
Despite the fact that the Israeli regime has refused to discuss a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, Israeli media outlets have highlighted a starkly different operational reality, in which Israeli occupation forces have withdrawn from most of the positions they had taken in the Gaza Strip.
Carmela Menashe, Israeli radio Kol Yisrael's military correspondent, said that Hamas fighters have returned to roam the Gaza Strip. Menashe believes that Israeli authorities have exhibited "no strategy", adding that there are no Israeli military forces positioned between Rafah and the Netzarim Axis, which splits the northern Gaza Strip from the rest of the territory.
The correspondent said that Palestinian Resistance fighters "are moving back wherever they want, as there is no pressure on them."
Moreover, Mensahe highlighted the fact that the Israeli regime and its allies have failed to find an alternative to Hamas's governance of the Gaza Strip, saying that "no solutions are being offered for an alternative leadership."

Earlier today, circulating reports have indicated that the treacherous Palestinian Authority has submitted a request to the U.S administration that Marwan Barghouti, the popular imprisoned Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades leader, be removed from any future prisoner exchanges between Hamas and the occupation entity.
The criminal move was pushed forward by the P.A’s head of spies and intelligence, Majed Faraj, and Prime Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh. This is another testament in the Authority’s already heavy playbook of traitorous and corrupt political moves in hopes of squashing and undermining the resistance.
The Palestinian Authority’s request was made with the full knowledge that the resistance has refused to compromise on the prisoner’s file, intentionally prolonging the genocide war on the Palestinian people in Gaza.

I know, its just my way in trying to stay positive and not to get too overwhelmed by the anger that I have been feeling for the last several months since this massacre and planned Genocide from over three quarters of Century comes to wishing.

Hundreds of students at the University of Havana in Cuba gathered to show their support for Palestine, condemning the repression that US students have faced in recent weeks and US policy towards Palestine.
In contrast to the protests taking place in the US, the university president Miriam Nicado took place in the protests, addressing students to tell them that the university's administration will always stand with Palestine.
Nicado stated, "We will always support you in your fights against genocide, against war, against murderers!…Down with war! To the victory, always!"
A student added, "Why do they attack the students that have a higher moral force than all the officials in the White House today?… Let them condemn us if they want; history will absolve the cause of the Palestinian people."
This morning, the IOF demanded the residents of eastern Rafah to evacuate to an expanded "safe zone" in the Al-Mawasi area of western Khan Younis, in preparation for the planned invasion of Rafah. The previously designated "safe zone" was expanded 3 times in area.
70 rockets were launched in the last two barrages towards the southern occupied Syrian, with a number making impact, according to zionist sources.
A source in the Palestinian resistance to Al Mayadeen:
In light of the recent events and the threats by the occupation forces to invade Rafah completely or partially, Hamas may consider halting the ongoing negotiations.
Hamas confirms that the threat to invade Rafah will not exert any pressure on it in the course of the negotiations.
National Resistance Brigades (Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces) spokesman Abu Khaled:
Our forces are raining rockets and mortars on "israeli" enemy positions across the Strip.
Commander Abu Khaled, the spokesperson for the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces (the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine), issued a military statement announcing the targeting of enemy positions in various parts of the Gaza Strip by the artillery unit of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces. The details are as follows:
First: The artillery unit of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted enemy positions and gatherings on the "Netzarim" axis with heavy caliber mortars, causing significant losses in the enemy ranks, with smoke columns seen rising from the targeted site.
Second: In cooperation with the fighters of Al-Aqsa Martyrs' [Brigades] the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted "israeli" enemy positions on the "Netzarim" axis with a barrage of short-range rockets, hitting their targets accurately and inflicting losses on the enemy.
Third: The artillery unit of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted the "Kissufim" military site of the enemy forces with several heavy mortar shells, hitting their targets accurately.

Following the sounding of sirens, zionist sources reported that at least two IOF soldiers were seriously injured by a drone in the "Metulla" settlement near the Lebanese-Palestinian borders. Helicopters are evacuating casualties in the area.
Two IOF soldiers have been killed and two others were injured, including one critically, following the Hezbollah drone resistance operation in the "Metulla" settlement, according to zionist sources.
Zionist media have described the incident as the harshest since the beginning of the war indicating there are several IOF soldiers killed.
Over 100 rockets have been fired since this morning from southern Lebanon towards settlements in northern occupied Palestine.
The Yemeni Security Forces arrested a number of spies in the past few days who were recruited by officers and elements belonging to an intelligence entity known as "Force 400," led by the wanted spy Ammar Afash.
A security source told the Yemeni News Agency SABA that these spies were recruited to gather information and monitor locations belonging to the Yemeni Armed Forces in western Yemen for the benefit of the American and "israeli" enemy.
The Security Forces confirmed that those arrested confessed to carrying out intelligence tasks assigned to them after being recruited, the most prominent of which was monitoring missile launch sites, drone sites, and naval vessels, and relaying their coordinates to their operators in "Force 400" for the purpose of targeting them by American and British aircraft. These strikes resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded, as well as material losses. The spies' confessions will be published this afternoon.
"Among the tasks assigned to the spies, according to their confessions, were criminal and sabotage operations that involved disabling and burning vehicles belonging to the Armed Forces and security, and preparing to carry out assassinations using silenced pistols and explosives to distract the Armed Forces from facing the evil trio of America, Britain, and 'israel,' and supporting the besieged Palestinian people. They also attempted to strike at the internal front and destabilize the free areas in service of the American and 'israeli' enemy through these sabotage and criminal operations."
The Security Forces reaffirmed their commitment to protect the internal front, warning that working for enemy intelligence agencies could lead to the death penalty.

Yemeni Security Services released video confessions of the group of 18 spies (the so-called "Force 400") that was caught spying for America and "israel" in western Yemen.
The spies confessed to being recruited to carry out intelligence, sabotage, and surveillance tasks such as monitoring missile, drone, and ship launch sites so that they could be targeted by American-British warplanes, under the leadership of the wanted spy Ammar Afash.
Spy Mohammed Mahnish said that he would relay information about missiles, drones, tanks, and sites when Ansarallah was targeting "israeli" ships, using a coded language (i.e "bees" to refer to drones and "cows" for tanks). They were also asked to monitor the increase in the number of new fighters to the Yemeni Armed Forces and the people's acceptance of them.
The spies were recruited at various times, some as early as October and some in December, according to their confessions. Spy Yusser Wahban said that he was paid 300 Saudi Riyals ($80 USD) to sell out his people.
Lieutenant General Al-Ruwaishan confirmed that the enemy's targeting of the internal front will fail in the face of the people's awareness and cohesion with the Yemeni Armed Forces, stressing that they are still working to reach enemy cells, with more to be announced soon. He affirmed that Yemen's position towards Palestine is unaffected by these security conspiracies.

Also, is bs to claim that "all Jews were expelled". Are you telling me there weren't any Jews in the middle east before the creation of israel? So, shouldn't them be the ones who decided how to govern themselves and not some colonizers from Europe? And even if they'd want to create modern israel as it is today, it wouldn't justify a genocide of the other groups who currently inhabit Palestine.

Deputy Head of Hamas in Gaza, Khalil Al-Hayya, to Al-Jazeera:
The proposal presented to us by the mediators in Qatar and Egypt includes 3 phases.
The proposal includes a complete withdrawal from Gaza, the return of displaced persons, and an exchange of prisoners.
The proposal includes an exchange of prisoners in 3 stages.
The proposal includes the release of 30 individuals of the same category from the prisons of the occupation according to seniority.
The text of the ceasefire proposal includes the interconnection of the implementation stages.
The proposal includes in its second phase the direct announcement of a permanent cessation of military and hostile operations.
The mediators told us that the American president is clearly committed to ensuring the implementation of the agreement.
The ball is now in the court of the "israeli" occupation.
We informed the mediators of our agreement to the ceasefire proposal in full.
In this agreement, we have achieved the objectives of a ceasefire, the return of displaced persons, relief, and a serious prisoner exchange deal.
On the first day of the first phase of the agreement, there is a clear commitment to temporarily stop military operations.
There are no restrictions on the return of displaced persons, and this is clearly stated in the proposal of the agreement.
The occupation will withdraw to areas adjacent to the borders inside the Gaza Strip in the first phase of the proposal.
We made concessions to open the door to stop the insane war and to have a real prisoner exchange process.
In the first phase, indirect negotiations will take place through Egyptian and Qatari mediation on the keys to the exchange.
We have not been informed of a specific date for "israel's" approval of the proposed proposal.
We await the occupation's response to our approval of the ceasefire proposal.
Head of the External National Relations Department of Hamas, Ali Baraka, to Al-Mayadeen:
Hamas has agreed to a permanent ceasefire, reconstruction, and prisoner exchange.
Mediators confirmed that the term "sustainable ceasefire" means a permanent cessation of military and hostile operations.
In the first phase, there will be an exchange of 30 Palestinian prisoners for each "israeli" prisoner.
The withdrawal will take place in two stages, with a complete withdrawal outside of Gaza in the second phase.
In the proposed agreement that we have agreed upon, there are no conditions or restrictions on the return of the displaced.
The American representative in Qatar has agreed to the proposal we approved, and now it is up to America to present the proposal to the "israeli" side.
When Hamas agrees to the proposal, it speaks on behalf of all the resistance factions it consults with daily.
Hamas is in constant consultation with Palestinian factions and the Axis of Resistance, and there is ongoing coordination.
In Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, support fronts stand behind Gaza.
The ball is in Netanyahu's court to either take the prisoners through negotiation or escalate and lose everything.
"Israel's" failure to achieve its goals is a victory for the Palestinian people, Gaza, and the Axis of Resistance.
Families of zionist prisoners held in Gaza and settlers came out to block streets in "Tel Aviv," Al-Quds and Bir Al-Sabi' to demand the government to accept the permanent ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that Hamas agreed to, following the resistance's acceptance of it earlier tonight.
Islamic Resistance in Iraq:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Permission [to fight] has been granted to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory."
In continuation of our path to resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on the morning of Monday, 06-05-2024, targeted the Asqalan Oil Port in our occupied lands with an Arqab advanced cruise missile.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirms its continuation in striking the enemy's strongholds.
"And victory is only from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Mighty and Wise."

GOP Senators Threaten ICC: 'Target Israel and We Will Target You'https://www.commondreams.org/news/republican-senators-icc-israel Just over a week before the International Criminal Court issued a statement condemning threats against the institution, a dozen Republicans in the U.S. Senate sent a letter to the ICC's prosecutor warning him against pursuing charges against Israeli officials over war crimes committed in the Gaza Strip.
The letter, dated April 24 and reported exclusively by Zeteo on Monday, explicitly threatens U.S. retaliation against the ICC if it issues arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or other top Israeli officials.
"Target Israel and we will target you," reads the letter, which was led by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), a notorious war hawk, and signed by 11 others, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
The letter specifically threatens to sanction ICC employees and associates and bar them and their families from entering the United States, which is not a party to the ICC.
"You have been warned," states the letter, which invokes the American Service-Members’ Protection Act—a 2002 law informally known as "The Hague Invasion Act."

The full text of the ceasefire and exchange proposal that Hamas agreed to today can be found below, published by Al-Akhbar and translated by RNN.
The proposal results in the release of all zionist prisoners in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners, a permanent ceasefire, the full withdrawal of the IOF from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, and lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip.
The resistance received guarantees from mediators that the term "sustainable calm" yields a permanent ceasefire. As this was the last remaining disagreement, in light of the resistance's flexibility on the other four conditions, the proposal was approved.
It is noteworthy that the zionist entity has not yet agreed to the proposal. Netanyahu's office issued a statement that a zionist delegation will be sent to continue indirect negotiations despite that the proposal is "far from "israel's" necessary requirements. Resistance sources confirmed that Hamas is sending a delegation to Cairo tomorrow as well.
Basic principles for an agreement between the "israeli" side and the Palestinian side in Gaza on the exchange of detainees and prisoners between the two parties and the return to sustainable calm.
The framework agreement aims to release all "israeli" detainees in Gaza, both civilians and soldiers, whether alive or otherwise, from all periods and times in exchange for a number of prisoners in "israeli" prisons to be agreed upon, and the return to sustainable calm, achieving a permanent ceasefire, and the withdrawal of "israeli" forces from Gaza, and reconstruction.
The framework agreement consists of 3 interconnected and interrelated phases, as follows:
Phase One (42 days):
1- Temporary cessation of mutual military operations between the two parties, and withdrawal of "israeli" forces eastward and away from densely populated areas to an area along the border in all areas of the Gaza Strip including Wadi Gaza - ("Netzarim" axis and Kuwait roundabout) as shown below.
2- Suspension of military and reconnaissance flights in the Gaza Strip for ten hours a day, and for 12 hours on the days of releasing detainees and prisoners.
3- Return of displaced persons to their residential areas and withdrawal from Wadi Gaza ("Netzarim" axis and Kuwait roundabout):
- On the third day (after releasing 3 detainees) the "israeli" forces completely withdraw from Rashid Street east to Salah Al-Din Street, dismantle military sites and installations in this area completely, and begin the return of displaced persons to their residential areas (without carrying weapons during their return), and freedom of movement for residents in all areas of the Strip, and entry of humanitarian aid from Rashid Street from day one without obstacles.
- On day 22 (after releasing half of the living detainees including female soldiers) "israeli" forces withdraw from the central sector (especially the axes of "Netzarim," Al-Shuhada, and Kuwait roundabout) east of Salah Al-Din Road to an area close to the border, dismantle all military sites and installations completely, and continue the return of displaced persons to their homes in the northern Strip, and freedom of movement for residents in all areas of the Strip.
- From day one, intensive and sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid, relief materials, and fuel (600 trucks daily including 50 fuel trucks, 300 for the north) are introduced, including the fuel necessary to operate the power station, trade, and equipment needed to remove rubble, and rehabilitate and operate hospitals, health centers, and bakeries in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and continue this in all stages of the agreement.
4- Exchange of detainees and prisoners between the two parties:
- During the first phase, Hamas releases 33 "israeli" detainees (alive or bodies) of women (civilians and soldiers) and children (under 19 years of age non-soldiers) and the elderly (over 50 years old) and sick and wounded civilians, in exchange for a number of prisoners in "israeli" prisons and detention camps, as follows:
- Hamas releases all living "israeli" civilian women and children (under 19 years of age non-soldiers), in return "israel" releases 30 children and women for each "israeli" released, based on lists provided by Hamas prioritized by earliest arrest.
- Hamas releases all living elderly (over 50 years old) and sick and wounded "israeli" civilians, in return "israel" releases 30 prisoners of the elderly (over 50 years old) and sick in exchange for each "israeli" released, based on lists provided by Hamas prioritized by earliest arrest.
- Hamas releases all living female "israeli" soldiers, in return "israel" releases 50 prisoners from its prisons for each "israeli" soldiers released (30 life sentences, 20 other sentences), based on lists provided by Hamas.
5- Scheduling the exchange of detainees and prisoners between the parties in the first phase:
- Hamas releases 3 "israeli" detainees on the third day of the agreement and then releases 3 more detainees every seven days starting with women where possible (civilians and soldiers). In the sixth week, Hamas releases all remaining civilian detainees included in this phase, in return "israel" releases the agreed number of Palestinian prisoners from "israeli" prisons, according to the lists that will be provided by Hamas.
- By the seventh day (where possible) Hamas will provide information on the number of living "israeli" detainees to be released in this phase.
- On day 22, the "israeli" side releases all prisoners of the Shalit deal who were re-arrested.
- If the number of living "israeli" detainees intended for release does not reach 33, the number will be completed from the bodies from the same categories for this phase, in return, "israel" releases all those arrested from Gaza Strip after October 7, 2023, of women and children (under 19 years old) to be done in the fifth week of this phase.
- The exchange process is linked to compliance with the terms of the agreement, including stopping mutual military operations, withdrawal of forces, return of displaced persons, and entry of humanitarian aid.
6- Completing the legal procedures necessary to ensure that released Palestinian prisoners are not arrested based on the same charges they were previously arrested for.
7- The milestones of the first phase outlined above do not form the basis for negotiating the milestones of the second phase.
8- Lifting measures and penalties that were taken against prisoners and detainees in "israeli" prisons and detention camps after October 7, 2023, and improving their conditions, including those arrested after this date.
9- By no later than day 16 of the first phase, indirect negotiations between the parties begin regarding the details of the second phase of this agreement concerning the keys to exchanging prisoners and detainees from both parties (soldiers and remaining men), to be completed and agreed upon before the end of the fifth week of this phase.
10- The United Nations and its agencies, including UNRWA and other international organizations, continue their work in providing humanitarian services in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and this continues in all stages of the agreement.
11- Starting the rehabilitation of infrastructure (electricity, water, sewage, communications, and roads) in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and introducing necessary civil defense equipment, removing rubble and debris, and this continues in all stages of the agreement.
12- Facilitating the introduction of supplies and requirements necessary to accommodate and house displaced persons who lost their homes during the war (at least 60,000 temporary houses - caravans - and 200,000 tents).
13- From day one of this phase, a agreed number (no less than 50) of wounded military personnel are allowed to travel through the Rafah crossing for medical treatment, increasing the number of sick and wounded through the Rafah crossing and lifting restrictions on travelers and the return of goods and trade without restrictions.
14- Starting the arrangements and plans necessary for the comprehensive reconstruction process of houses, civilian facilities, and civil infrastructure that were destroyed due to the war and compensating the affected under the supervision of several countries and organizations including Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations.
15- All measures in this phase including the temporary cessation of mutual military operations, relief and shelter, withdrawal of forces, etc., shall continue in the second phase until the announcement of sustainable calm (cessation of military and hostile operations).
Phase Two (42 days):
Announcement of the return to sustainable calm (cessation of military and hostile operations) and its implementation before starting the exchange of detainees and prisoners between the parties - all remaining "israeli" men in Gaza (civilians and soldiers) - in exchange for a number agreed upon of prisoners in "israeli" prisons and detainees in "israeli" detention camps, and complete withdrawal of "israeli" forces from Gaza Strip.
Phase Three (42 days):
1- Exchange of bodies and remains of the deceased on both sides after locating and identifying them.
2- Start implementing a plan to reconstruct the Gaza Strip for a period of 3 to 5 years including houses, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, and compensating all affected under the supervision of several countries and organizations including Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations.
3- Ending the complete siege on the Gaza Strip.
Guarantors of the agreement:
Qatar, Egypt, the United States, and the United Nations

Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades spokesperson, Abu Mohammed:
O steadfast and enduring masses of our people… Salutations to you, for you are the honor of the nation, and you teach the world the meaning of perseverance. Upon the rock of your steadfastness, all conspiracies against you are shattered.
May God have mercy on the martyrs of our people, and we pray to Him, the Almighty, to heal our wounded and sick who suffer from the bitterness of injuries and the harshness of the blockade, as well as the denial of medicine and freedom to our prisoners who endure mistreatment that reflects the poor morals of this rogue state.
The fascist government of the criminal Netanyahu, which seeks to remain in power by expanding the circle of fire that will, God willing, consume them, and his statements and threats to the people of Gaza reflect the utter failure his government has suffered. This government aims for forced displacement through acts of genocide and a harsh blockade policy of starvation and dehydration.
On the 213th day of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, our fighters continue to exhibit valor in the field, inflicting heavy losses on the defeated army, exploding their vehicles, striking their settlements and gatherings, and crushing their soldiers. Since the beginning of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, our fighters have executed over 470 military missions.
On October 7, our heroes in the Commando Unit participated in storming the Gaza Envelope settlements and positions known as the Gaza Division, capturing many zionists, some of whom were handed over, while others remain in our custody.
Our fighters engaged in more than 190 direct confrontations with enemy soldiers and vehicles, disabling over 50 zionist vehicles, and launched more than 220 rocket barrages, in addition to 170 operations targeting concentrations and gatherings of vehicles, and enemy leadership and command headquarters. Our fighters have also sniped at least 25 zionist soldiers and officers and thwarted four enemy amphibious landing operations. Our fighters conducted 23 targeted operations against enemy drones.
On this 213th day, we reaffirm the following:
Firstly, we in the Al-Aqsa Brigades, along with our brothers in the Palestinian resistance factions, have been and remain holding onto our fundamental conditions: the release of prisoners, the complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the unconditional return of displaced persons. The enemy must not dream of concluding a deal without meeting these conditions, which represent our minimal requirements.
Secondly, to the families of the enemy's prisoners: the fascist Netanyahu government, represented by its ministers and military chiefs, seeks to continue in power by launching threats to expand the circle of fire in Rafah and leaving your captives to the unknown. They suffer as our people do from calamities, and their threats will not succeed in returning your captives except through a dignified deal.
Thirdly, we confirm that our people have given their utmost in defense of their blessed land and will crush all suspicious schemes aimed at uprooting them. What the enemy failed to achieve on the battlefield, seeking help from all the devils of the land, and its killing and terrorism machinery, will not succeed in achieving it through means of deceit and maneuvering.
Fourthly, we affirm that the path of armed resistance and confrontation is the best way to liberate Palestine and expel the occupiers from our entire land. We will never abandon our arms, no matter the challenges and the magnitude of sacrifices, as it is the honor of our people.
In conclusion, we salute the steadfastness of our people clinging to their land and homeland. We pray for the souls of our martyrs, for swift healing for our wounded, and freedom for our prisoners.
"And indeed, Allah will support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Mighty."
And indeed, it is a revolution until victory.

McGraw Hill Destroys “Anti-Israel” Textbooks> McGraw-Hill Education has taken the unusual step of withdrawing a textbook and planning to destroy all copies of it – following criticism that four maps in the book are inaccurate and anti-Israel.
>The book is a political science textbook, Global Politics: Engaging a Complex World. The McGraw-Hill Education website no longer features the book. But a page on Amazon describes the book this way: "This contemporary presentation stresses the importance of global events and offers students a number of lenses through which to view the world around them."
>The book features four maps of what is now Israel, Gaza and the West Bank and says that it shows "Palestinian loss of land" from 1946 to 2000. Many Palestinian advocates agree with the maps, but many historians and supporters of Israel strongly disagree and argue that the maps distort key facts, such as Jewish ownership of land before Israel became a country in 1948. Supporters of Israel have fought the use of these maps elsewhere and quickly urged McGraw-Hill to change or withdraw the textbook. Here is one such blog post, which outlines objections to the maps and includes alternative ways to think about land in the region.
>Catherine Mathis, a spokeswoman for McGraw-Hill Education, said via email, "As soon as we learned about the concerns with it, we placed sales of the book on hold and immediately initiated an academic review. The review determined that the map did not meet our academic standards. We have informed the authors and we are no longer selling the book. All existing inventory will be destroyed. We apologize and will refund payment to anyone who returns the book."
>Mathis said the publisher was still trying to figure out how the maps made it into the textbook. She said that the maps were not created by the authors, but were submitted by the authors. https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2016/03/08/mcgraw-hill-education-withdraws-textbook-maps-viewed-anti-israel No.1847305

>>1847564>>1847307>Map 1: calling public lands that made up far more than half the total land “Palestinian land” while Jewish lands are only the privately owned Jewish lands. “Palestine” was the entire British mandate, no one called the Arabs “Palestinians.”
>Map 2: A partition plan that never materialized because Arabs tried to throw the Jews into the sea. Again, no one called the Arabs “Palestinians” so the failed partition was not between Jewish land and “Palestinian” land.
>Map 3: Land controlled by Egypt and Jordan, without any objection by the Arab residents, is falsely called “Palestinian land.” No, it was Jordanian annexed and Egyptian controlled. (Of course, Arab communities in Israel are not called out.)
>Map 4: The borders must be decided between the two sides, but even Israel’s government doesn’t call all the white areas “Israeli land.” And the Palestinian land, is the first example of an autonomous area under Palestinian Arab control in history – something that Israel gave up for peace. The amount of “Palestinian land” hasn’t shrunk – it was created for the first time ever.
>Calling the four maps “stages” is even more offensive, as if this was a Jewish plot from the start to steal “Palestinian” land and force them out. Israel has given up land for peace since 1967, in the Sinai, Gaza, part of Judea and Samaria and southern Lebanon. Calling these four maps “stages” – especially when map 2 never existed in reality – is anti-Israel propaganda. And McGraw-Hill cannot blame the source for that – their stated source does not use the word “stages” in their version.
>The text also refers to the security barrier as if its route is shown in the maps.
>It isn’t. The authors did zero fact checking. (The previous page says that the Six Day War forced a mass exodus of Palestinians, causing them to become a stateless nation. In fact, there was no forced expulsion in 1967 and the timeframes are completely wrong by any standard.)
>I once made a more accurate map: <pic
>That shows how Israel keeps trying to give up real land for peace. And it has offered a great deal more for peace with the Palestinians. The book could have gone into why they continuously reject these peace offers…but it chose not to.
>The textbook authors have taken a false narrative and are teaching it to students across the nation.
>McGraw-Hill must be held accountable for pushing such propaganda in college classrooms. The IOF continued to relentlessly bomb Rafah throughout the night with warplanes and artillery, resulting in dozens of martyrs, including children.
This morning, IOF helicopters are firing intensely east of Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi camp and north of Nusseirat camp in the central #Gaza Strip. They have also blown up buildings in Al-Mughraqa, and IOF vehicles are opening fire on the "Netzarim" axis.
The IOF continued its limited incursion onto the Rafah border crossing, where a few tanks stormed the area, forcing its closure to aid or people. It is noteworthy that the full-scale invasion of Rafah has not begun; the IOF heavily bombed the governorate for two days in preparation for its planned entry.
Palestinian families continued to evacuate Rafah, being displaced once more, as they moved towards Khan Younis under IOF airstrikes and shelling.
Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman, Abu Obeida:
The zionist prisoner "Judih Weinstein" died at the age of 70 due to severe injuries she sustained along with another prisoner after the bombing of their site of detention a month ago.
She later died due to the lack of intensive medical care in care centers because of the enemy's destruction of hospitals in the Gaza Strip, rendering them out of service.
It is worth mentioning that the deceased was seriously injured on October 7th and received treatment in hospitals in the Strip before being returned to the site of detention after her recovery.
Zionist sources report that 30 rockets have been fired from Gaza towards settlements in the envelope, and a fire broke out.
The sources stated that the latest barrage is the biggest one fired in the past few months.

Israeli minister promises to ‘deepen’ Rafah offensive if captive deal fails
Israel will continue its operation in Rafah until Hamas fighters in the area are destroyed or the group hands over one of the Israeli captives it still holds, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant says.
Gallant visited troops in the Rafah area and said Israel is willing to make “compromises” to bring home captives.
“If that option is removed, we will go on and deepen the operation. This will happen all over the Strip – in the south, in the centre and in the north. Hamas only understands force, so we will intensify our action, and the military pressure will result in us crushing the Hamas organisation,” the Times of Israel quoted him as saying

They described other historically documented modes of social organization, and most of them were just built on 'charisma/rhetoric' (or whatever that mode of domination was called). They state that, historically, humanity widely experimented with different social organizations. Then they ask "how did we get stuck?"
I think we got stuck because of the meme equivalent of genetic fixation.
Maybe one way to get un-stuck from the statehood meme is to somehow remove the steep incentives for organizing into your own state when you're neighouring one.

Israeli officials believe they 'got played' by US on Gaza deal: Axios
The Biden administration was aware of the latest ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal negotiated by Egypt and Qatar with Hamas but did not inform "Israel" before Hamas publicly accepted it on Monday, Axios reported citing Israeli officials.
But a senior US official refuted the Israeli claims, saying that American diplomats have been in communication with Israeli counterparts, indicating "there have been no surprises."
However, according to Axios, the situation has left senior Israeli officials feeling disappointed and suspicious about the US role in the negotiations and may impact future talks negatively.
The US official characterized Hamas' response as a counter-proposal rather than a new one, reflecting the ongoing complexity of negotiations mediated by mediators in Doha and Cairo.
The Palestinian Resistance group Hamas announced its acceptance of a ceasefire proposal presented by Egypt and Qatar following talks over the weekend in Cairo and Monday in Doha, where CIA director Bill Burns was present, according to informed sources.
Axios cited three Israeli officials as saying that the Israeli government was surprised by Hamas' announcement and received the text of the movement's response from mediators an hour after its public statement.
They claimed that Hamas' response contained "many new elements" that were not part of the previous proposal that the Israeli leadership agreed on and that was presented to the Palestinian group by mediators the US, Egypt, and Qatar 10 days ago.
"It looked like a whole new proposal," one official was quoted as saying.
Egypt presented Hamas with a new proposal without coordinating with "Israel", two Israeli officials indicated.
Israeli officials said that CIA Director Bill Burns and Biden administration officials knew about the new proposal but didn't inform "Israel" about it, adding that the proposal's final touches were made in Doha with the Biden administration's knowledge.
According to two Israeli officials, the Israeli side believes it "got played" by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar who weren't transparent about a new deal.
Another two Israeli officials pointed out that "Israel" suspects that the United States, through Egypt and Qatar, gave assurances to Hamas that a prisoner exchange deal would bring an end to the war on Gaza.
The Israeli occupation government has previously made it clear that ensuring a prisoner swap deal with the Palestinian group would not mean an end to the war, insisting on its plan to "eliminate Hamas".
A senior Israeli official mentioned that "Israel" believes the US "conveyed the message to Hamas that it will be okay when it comes to ending the war."
However, the US official clarified that, during the negotiations, the Biden administration aimed to "ensure that an initial six-week ceasefire would be built into something more enduring," denying the US presented guarantees to Hamas.
Elsewhere, Axios cited Israeli officials as saying that the Biden administration conveyed to Israeli officials on Monday that Hamas' response is open to negotiation, but the Israeli leadership remains skeptical about the matter.

A group calling itself "Vanguards of Liberation - Martyr Mohammed Salah Groups," named after the heroic Egyptian martyr who killed three IOF soldiers at the border last June, claims responsibility for the killing of an "israeli" agent in Alexandria, Egypt today.
RNN has translated their full statement below.
Vanguards of Liberation - Martyr Mohammed Salah Group:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Indeed, this is your nation, a single nation, and I am your Lord, so worship Me."
We are at your call, O Al-Aqsa.. We are at your call, O Gaza..
More than two hundred days of horrific massacres and the storming of the Rafah crossing without anyone in this world, which is governed by a criminal zionistic regime, moving. We have witnessed the horrors faced by our people in Gaza and the massacres that spared no child or woman, even infants in nurseries. We waited for a real official reaction, even if just for the sake of argument and saving face, but betrayal and collaboration were the headline of the stage. Therefore, we decided to resume the popular march in confrontation and targeting the enemy who rampages in our land, sheds blood, loots, and buys rulers.
We, the Vanguards of Liberation - the martyr hero Mohammed Salah group, declare our responsibility for targeting the criminal "israeli" agent Ziv Kipper, who uses some business activities as a cover to carry out his activities in collecting information and recruiting the weak-souled for the Mossad. This is based on precise intelligence assessment of the target's activity, which we will publish details of gradually as security conditions allow.
We send the following messages to our proud Egyptian people and to our heroic people in Gaza and Palestine and to the free people of the world:
- The Egyptian people are the substance of nobility and chivalry. We have not and will never betray Palestine. Our people will not allow any Mossad activities and its elements on our beloved Egypt’s soil. The betrayal and collaboration of the ruling regime with "israel" will not prevent Egyptians from reaching the agents and holding the traitors accountable.
- This operation is a step on the path of the Egyptian people's struggle against the zionist enemy since the wars of '48, through '56, '67, and '73, and continuing the martyr operations of the heroic martyr Suleiman Khater, Ayman Hassan, and the Egyptian Revolution group led by Nour El Din Mahmoudar and the heroic martyr Mohammad Salah, proving that supporting Palestine and enmity towards zionists is an integral part in the souls of Egyptians.
- The continuation of the genocide and starvation war against our brothers in Gaza will not only lead to an explosion of the situation in Egypt but will ignite the flame of resistance and struggle that will burn the zionists and their supporters across the entire Arab and Islamic geography.
- A salute of respect, honor, and pride from all Egyptians to the heroes of the resistance who protect the honor of our nation and the sanctity of our sacred sites. We say to you: You are not alone; we are your support and backing, and you will see what pleases your eyes.
Finally: We remind our great Egyptian people that the collaborating regimes that sold the land and squandered the nation's resources and impoverished the people have not and will not offer anything for Palestine. Do not abandon your brothers and their cause.

>>1847985>Maybe one way to get un-stuck from the statehood meme is to somehow remove the steep incentives for organizing into your own state when you're neighouring one. That's complicated. Are you familiar with Joseph Tainter's theory of collapse of complex societies? He discovered, among other things, that collapse (reduction of social complexity) can only happen where it is possible, that is, where the collapsed society can resist attempts at capture or assimilation by its neighbors or countries further abroad. It constrains the possibilities of "socialism in one country" in any one round, as states around a simplified state don't recognize the simplified relations as those of a state.
>charisma/rhetoricI think you are referring to competitive politics, or other charismatic institutions?
>>1848174>cause it just works. It arbitrate social contradictions effectively.Until it doesn't. Apparently, statehood is something that peoples have gone in and out of in the past with a certain degree of self-consciousness. It's harder to do that now that the winners of WWII have extended their collective empire across the globe and enforce state custody of every profitable parcel of the planet and perhaps beyond. WW3, if it happens, could change that, to put it mildly.
Apparently, the Iroquois were all quite well-armed with logic and facts, and made a pastime of debate rather than a contest.
>do you have a pdf of the book in question>>/edu/16653The Davids' theory in brief is that, in addition to the monopoly on violence proposed by Weber, bureaucracy enforces a monopoly on epistemic violence (rituals, calendars, procedures, mysteries; much less so the practical knowledge we often associate bureaucracies with protecting in the contemporary managerial age), and competitive politics enforce its monopoly on ontological and relational violence, e.g. who will accept you hanging out with them. The three of these in conjunction form a state, but degenerate forms of regimes have existed with only two or even one of these monopolies, and every possible order of construction has been observed in the prehistoric record. They argue, in the end, that the state has no one origin, has arisen and dissolved independently in the past, and that its end for us is not so unthinkable (but might not be permanent).

>Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you, Stu Eizenstat, for that introduction, for your leadership of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. You are a true scholar and statesman and a dear friend.>Speaker Johnson, Leader Jeffries, members of Congress and especially the survivors of the Holocaust. If my mother were here, she’d look at you and say, “God love you all. God love you all.”
>Abe Foxman and all other survivors who embody absolute courage and dignity and grace are here as well.
>During these sacred days of remembrance we grieve, we give voice to the 6 million Jews who were systematically targeted and murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators during World War II. We honor the memory of victims, the pain of survivors, the bravery of heroes who stood up to Hitler's unspeakable evil. And we recommit to heading and heeding the lessons that one of the darkest chapters in human history to revitalize and realize the responsibility of never again.
>Never again, simply translated for me, means never forget, never forget. Never forgetting means we must must keep telling the story, we must keep teaching the truth, we must keep teaching our children and our grandchildren. And the truth is we are at risk of people not knowing the truth.
>That's why, growing up, my dad taught me and my siblings about the horrors of the Shoah at our family dinner table.>That's why I visited Yad Vashem with my family as a senator, as vice president and as president. And that's why I took my grandchildren to Dachau, so they could see and bear witness to the perils of indifference, the complicity of silence in the face of evil that they knew was happening.
>Germany, 1933, Hitler and his Nazi party rise to power by rekindling one of the world's oldest forms of prejudice and hate — antisemitism.>His rule didn't begin with mass murder. It started slowly across economic, political, social and cultural life — propaganda demonizing Jews, boycotts of Jewish businesses, synagogues defaced with swastikas, harassment of Jews in the street and in the schools, antisemitic demonstrations, pogroms, organized riots.
>With the indifference of the world, Hitler knew he could expand his reign of terror by eliminating Jews from Germany, to annihilate Jews across Europe through genocide the Nazis called the final solution. Concentration camps, gas chambers, mass shootings. By the time the war ended, 6 million Jews, one out of every three Jews in the entire world, were murdered.
>This ancient hatred of Jews didn't begin with the Holocaust. It didn't end with the Holocaust either, or after, even after our victory in World War II. This hatred continues to lie deep in the hearts of too many people in the world and requires our continued vigilance and outspokenness.
>Driven by ancient desire to wipe out the Jewish people off the face of the Earth, over 1,200 innocent people — babies, parents, grandparents — slaughtered in their kibbutz, massacred at a music festival, brutally raped, mutilated and sexually assaulted.
>Thousands more carrying wounds, bullets and shrapnel from the memory of that terrible day they endured. Hundreds taken hostage, including survivors of the Shoah.
>Now here we are, not 75 years later but just seven-and-a-half months later and people are already forgetting, are already forgetting that Hamas unleashed this terror. That it was Hamas that brutalized Israelis. It was Hamas who took and continues to hold hostages. I have not forgotten, nor have you, and we will not forget.
>And as Jews around the world still cope with the atrocities and trauma of that day and its aftermath, we've seen a ferocious surge of antisemitism in America and around the world.>Vicious propaganda on social media, Jews forced to keep their — hide their kippahs under baseball hats, tuck their Jewish stars into their shirts.>On college campuses, Jewish students blocked, harassed, attacked while walking to class. Antisemitism, antisemitic posters, slogans calling for the annihilation of Israel, the world's only Jewish state.
>Too many people denying, downplaying, rationalizing, ignoring the horrors of the Holocaust and October 7th, including Hamas' appalling use of sexual violence to torture and terrorize Jews. It's absolutely despicable and it must stop.
>Silence. Silence and denial can hide much but it can erase nothing.>Some injustices are so heinous, so horrific, so grievous they cannot be married – buried, no matter how hard people try.>In my view, a major lesson of the Holocaust is, as mentioned earlier, is it not, was not inevitable.
>We know hate never goes away. It only hides. And given a little oxygen, it comes out from under the rocks.>We also know what stops hate. One thing: All of us. The late Rabbi Jonathan Sacks described antisemitism as a virus that has survived and mutated over time.
>Together, we cannot continue to let that happen. We have to remember our basic principle as a nation. We have an obligation. We have an obligation to learn the lessons of history so we don't surrender our future to the horrors of the past. We must give hate no safe harbor against anyone. Anyone.>From the very founding, our very founding, Jewish Americans, who represented only about 2% of the US population, have helped lead the cause of freedom for everyone in our nation. From that experience we know scapegoating and demonizing any minority is a threat to every minority and the very foundation of our democracy.
>So moments like this we have to put these principles that we're talking about into action.>I understand people have strong beliefs and deep convictions about the world.>In America we respect and protect the fundamental right to free speech, to debate and disagree, to protest peacefully and make our voices heard. I understand. That's America.
>But there is no place on any campus in America, any place in America, for antisemitism or hate speech or threats of violence of any kind.
>Whether against Jews or anyone else, violent attacks, destroying property is not peaceful protest. It's against the law and we are not a lawless country. >We're a civil society. We uphold the rule of law and no one should have to hide or be brave just to be themselves.>To the Jewish community, I want you to know I see your fear, your hurt and your pain.>Let me reassure you as your president, you're not alone. You belong. You always have and you always will.
>And my commitment to the safety of the Jewish people, the security of Israel and its right to exist as an independent Jewish state is ironclad, even when we disagree.>My administration is working around the clock to free remaining hostages, just as we have freed hostages already, and will not rest until we bring them all home.>My administration, with our second gentleman's leadership, has launched our nation's first national strategy to counter antisemitism. That's mobilizing the full force of the federal government to protect Jewish communities.
>But we know this is not the work of government alone or Jews alone. That's why I’m calling on all Americans to stand united against antisemitism and hate in all its forms.>My dear friend — and he became a friend — the late Elie Wiesel said, quote, “One person of integrity can make a difference.”
>We have to remember that, now more than ever.>Here in Emancipation Hall in the US Capitol, among the towering statues of history is a bronze bust of Raoul Wallenberg. Born in Sweden as a Lutheran, he was a businessman and a diplomat. While stationed in Hungary during World War II, he used diplomatic cover to hide and rescue about 100,000 Jews over a six-month period.
>Among them was a 16-year-old Jewish boy who escaped a Nazi labor camp. After the war ended, that boy received a scholarship from the Hillel Foundation to study in America. He came to New York City penniless but determined to turn his pain into purpose. Along with his wife, also a Holocaust survivor, he became a renowned economist and foreign policy thinker, eventually making his way to this very Capitol on the staff of a first-term senator.
>That Jewish refugee was Tom Lantos and that senator was me. Tom and his wife and Annette and their family became dear friends to me and my family. >Tom would go on to become the only Holocaust survivor ever elected to Congress, where he became a leading voice on civil rights and human rights around the world. Tom never met Raoul, who was taken prisoner by the Soviets, never to be heard from again.
>But through Tom's efforts, Raoul’s bust is here in the Capitol. He was also given honorary US citizenship, only the second person ever after Winston Churchill. The Holocaust Museum here in Washington is located in a road in Raoul’s name.
>The story of the power of a single person to put aside our differences, to see our common humanity, to stand up to hate and its ancient story of resilience from immense pain, persecution, to find hope, purpose and meaning in life, we try to live and share with one another. That story endures.
>Let me close with this. I know these days of remembrance fall on difficult times. We all do well to remember these days also fall during the month we celebrate Jewish American heritage, a heritage that stretches from our earliest days to enrich every single part of American life today.
>A great American — a great Jewish American named Tom Lantos — used the phrase “the veneer of civilization is paper thin.” We are its guardians, and we can never rest.
>My fellow Americans, we must, we must be those guardians. We must never rest. We must rise Against hate, meet across the divide, see our common humanity. And God bless the victims and survivors of the Shoah.
>May the resilient hearts, the courageous spirit and the eternal flame of faith of the Jewish people forever shine their light on America and around the world, pray God.

Israeli army shoots down 40 percent of its own drones: US
Israel has been shooting down a significant number of its own drones, a US military official said on 2 April.
“Something interesting that comes from Israel, 40 percent” of the drones “knocked out” by the Israeli army are shot down in cases of “friendly fire,” Marine Lt Col Michael Pruden told The War Zone and other attendees of the yearly Modern Day Marine exposition in Washington DC.
“As Israel’s engaging in Gaza, and they’re on their front line, they see a small UAS, what are they going to do if it’s not identified immediately? They’re going to shoot it down,” Pruden added.
Pruden referred to this as the “default course of action” since the time between a drone’s detection and when it could execute an attack is usually a matter of “seconds.”
According to the US Marine, this number was derived from recent Israeli army operations in the Gaza Strip.
He makes clear that having to rapidly distinguish between hostile and friendly drones is a major issue for the Israeli army and is also something the US military will increasingly have to deal with.
Another major challenge is that the uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and loitering munitions deployed by the US and Israel are launched in an uncoordinated and decentralized manner, often by smaller units, increasing the chance of friendly fire.
The Israeli army has faced an increased threat from drones in the recent months of the ongoing war in Gaza, which has seen several other fronts open up against Israel.
Two Israeli soldiers were killed in a drone attack by Hezbollah on 6 May, coming as the Lebanese resistance group has stepped up its use of UAVs against Israeli sites in recent days. The Iraqi resistance has also been using drones to target sites in Israel.
Last month, Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in response to the Israeli attack on its consulate in Damascus in early April.

Intense armed clashes are taking place now between the Palestinian resistance and IOF east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy artillery shelling and firing from helicopters.
The IOF has renewed its targeting of the central and northern Gaza Strip, carrying out an airstrike in on agricultural land in Juhr Al-Dik in the center, while artillery shelling targets the western and northern areas of Beit Lahia and an airstrike targeted Jabalia in the north.
The occupation police are heavily deployed in the occupied Naqab in preparation for the demolition of 47 homes.
The Supreme Steering Committee of the Arabs of the Naqab stated yesterday: "The 'israeli' authorities intend to carry out the largest demolition of homes in one day in years. This is an attempt to ignite the Naqab and deepen the forced displacement."
A source in Hamas to Al-Arabi:
A new round of negotiations has begun in Cairo with the participation of all delegations. The resistance insists on the just demands of its people.
The negotiations will reveal that Netanyahu is evasive and does not want to return the prisoners alive.
Over 5 settlements have been simultaneously targeted with rocket fire from Lebanon this morning according to Al-Mayadeen.
Rockets made direct impact in "Metulla," "Moshav Goren," "Manara," and "Goma," among others across the length of the border.
In addition to carrying out the largest single day demolition in years in the occupied Naqab in the occupied interior, the occupation has been demolishing homes in Farush Beit Dajan near Nablus in the West Bank since the morning.
Whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or the occupied interior, the occupation continues its decades-old ethnic cleansing and displacement campaign.
Hundreds of students established an encampment at Sao Paulo University in Brazil in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza, joining the global student intifada.
National Resistance Brigades (Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces) spokesman Abu Khaled:
Our forces are confronting the vanguard of the "israeli" invasion on the Rafah axis.
Commander Abu Khaled, spokesperson for the "Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces" (the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine), issued a military statement announcing the confrontation of the vanguard of the "israeli" invasion forces in the Rafah governorate, with the following details:
Firstly: The artillery unit of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted the "israeli" enemy forces east of the Rafah crossing with a number of short-range rockets, hitting their targets and causing significant losses among the enemy ranks.
Secondly: The artillery unit of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted gatherings of the enemy forces at the "Sofa" military site with several heavy-caliber mortar shells, which hit their targets and inflicted losses on the enemy.

A source in Hamas to Al-Arabi:
The first round of negotiations in Cairo has ended, and Netanyahu has reset everything to the beginning in an attempt to buy time.
The movement will evaluate its position after this round of negotiations, and things will not be as they were before the Rafah incursion.
Let the families of the "israeli" prisoners know that the current round of negotiations may be the last chance to bring their sons back.
A soldier from the “Yamam” special forces of the IOF was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained during the 15-hour-long clashes in Deir Al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem.
The resistance in Lebanon has carried out another complex drone and missile operation, targeting a number of IOF sites across the border simultaneously.
"Hanita" and "Admit" IOF sites came under fire by rockets in the west, while anti-tank missiles targeted Al-Malikiyah in the east. At "Avivim " and "Doviv" in the central north, power has been cut off according to zionist media.
Zionist sources report an "exceptional incident" at the "Avivim" settlement, with reports of dead and injured soldiers. Additionally, sources reported casualties both in Al-Malikiyah and Al-Manara settlements with a dead soldier in Al-Manara.
This comes only a few hours after the simultaneous operations on at least 5 IOF sites, and a day after a complex drone and rocket attack on northeastern occupied Palestine.

Johnson said no, only if you get attacked first. The Israeli diplomat (I think the Mossad chief) went back to Israel and told the cabinet, and they discussed it for 30 minutes or so and then unanimously agreed to launch the war – but they were successful and didn't need it.
But then the Arab states attacked in '73 and the U.S. did supply weapons in that case.
So I reckon the Israelis asked Biden if he would supply more weapons if they went into Rafah. Biden said no. The war cabinet debated and then said fuck it and did it anyways.

On the third day of the student Intifada in the Netherlands, students and staff are brutally attacked by riot police, tear gas, dogs and bulldozers. Dozens have been arrested and injured.
On Monday, hundreds of students started their encampment on Roeterseilandcampus of the University of Amsterdam. Their demands are: 1) disclose all ties with zionist institutions; 2) Boycott all zionist institutions; 3) Divest from all zionist institutions. At 03:00 AM, police forcefully evicted the camp with violence and bulldozers, arrested 140 students and seriously injured many of them. Two students remain in custody.
The following day, Tuesday, a solidarity protest organized by UvA staff mobilized thousands. They succesfully drove cops off campus and marched through the streets of Amsterdam, circumventing police blockades. At the beginning of the evening, UvA buildings at Oudemanhuispoort were occupied and barricaded.
On Wednesday, after negotiating for one hour, the UvA board of directors walked away from the negotiations and sent in the riot police. Thousands of students, staff and supporters of Palestine joined the occupation to defend the students. The Battle of Amsterdam is still ongoing. Police is using all weapons and extreme violence.
Meanwhile, students in the Dutch city of Utrecht have also started their second occupation, after their first occupation on Tuesday got brutally evicted the same night.
We commend the students in the Netherlands for their courage and steadfastness. Remember that you are not alone in this global student intifada. No amount of police repression can break this movement until Palestine is free from the river to the sea.

Pentagon chief confirms US pause on weapons shipment to Israel
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has confirmed reports that the United States paused a weapons shipment to Israel, as President Joe Biden’s administration faces growing pressure to condition aid to the top US ally amid the war in Gaza.
Testifying before a US congressional subcommittee on Wednesday, Austin said the Biden administration had paused “one shipment of high payload munitions” amid concerns about the Israeli military’s push to invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
“We’ve been very clear … from the very beginning that Israel shouldn’t launch a major attack into Rafah without accounting for and protecting the civilians that are in that battlespace,” Austin told US lawmakers.
“We’ve not made a final determination on how to proceed with that shipment [of weapons],” the Pentagon chief added, noting that the transfer is separate from a supplemental aid package for Israel that was passed in late April.
“My final comment is that we are absolutely committed to continuing to support Israel in its right to defend itself.”
President Biden himself spoke to the prospect of withholding weapons from Israel in an interview that aired on CNN later on Wednesday, denouncing the prospect of a major offensive in Rafah.
“It’s just wrong,” he told CNN. “We’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells.”
He clarified that the US would not be “walking away from Israel’s security” but would rather be stepping away from supporting “Israel’s ability to wage war in those areas”. He cited the use of US weapons against civilians as a reason for the pause.
“Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centres,” Biden said.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, responded to the shipment pause by saying the US decision was “very disappointing”.
“[US President Joe Biden] can’t say he is our partner in the goal to destroy Hamas, while on the other hand delay the means meant to destroy Hamas,” Erdan said.
Al Jazeera’s Kimberly Halkett, reporting from the White House on Wednesday, said the shipment included 1,800 bombs each weighing about 900kg (2,000lbs) and another 1,700 bombs each weighing 226kg (500lbs).

This entity, which has intensified in its tyranny, savagery, and arrogance, targeted the building of culture and media that exposed their scandals and their brutal crimes against humanity. In this targeting, the lie of the culture and peace promoted by the West, which is a blatant lie, was exposed to all.
We declare publicly that our response will be sudden, strong, and impactful. The usurping enemy knows that when we say, we act. Our drones have made them taste bitterness, and they know where our missiles have reached. By Allah's will, we will penetrate deep into the depths of the entity, and these crimes will not go unpunished. Allah is the protector of the believers.

Hamas urges halt to airdrops of aid after another two people killed
Hamas has called for an end to airdrops of aid after two more Palestinians were killed in northern Gaza when an aid pallet crashed into a warehouse after its parachute failed to open.
Residents had gathered there to collect relief supplies. A total of 21 people have been killed due to airdrops of aid going wrong, according to the Hamas authorities.
“We reiterate that airdrops pose a real danger to the lives of citizens and do not provide a real solution to alleviate the food crisis plaguing northern Gaza,” Salama Marouf, head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, said in a statement.
She called for the land crossings to reopen so humanitarian aid could be delivered to northern Gaza, where food shortages are at their worst.

Slovenia starts process of recognising Palestinian statehood
Prime Minister Robert Golob announces the Slovenian government has officially started the process of recognising Palestinian as a sovereign state.
He said Slovenia aims to recognise an independent Palestine based on the 1967 borders, or any borders that may later be drawn up as a result of potential future negotiations between Israel and Palestine, and reforms implemented by the Palestinian Authority.
“I call on Israel to put an immediate end to its attacks on Gaza and to use the negotiating table,” Golob said, adding that the governing coalition agreed unanimously on the decision to begin recognising Palestinian statehood.
Slovenia said in a joint statement on March 22 along with Spain, Ireland and that it has agreed to take the first steps towards recognising a Palestinian state.
Since 1988, an overwhelming majority of 142 out of 193 UN member states have recognised Palestinian statehood.

Cairo truce talks over, Rafah operation to proceed

Israel has abandoned its goals of freeing the captives in Gaza, instead seeking to establish a long-term presence with its Rafah ground offensive and pursue top Palestinian leaders, Israeli military officers have told Middle East Eye.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, three officers, one of whom is serving in Gaza, questioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s strategy in the ongoing war on Gaza, which has killed at least 34,800 Palestinians and failed to return captives taken by Hamas on 7 October.
One officer told MEE the government’s aims were unclear and the objective of rescuing captives and destroying Hamas had “collapsed”. “Netanyahu's operations in Gaza are fundamentally aimed at … hunting down Yahya Sinwar,” said the officer in Gaza, adding that the war had become “personal” for the Israeli premier.
Sinwar, Hamas’s leader in the enclave, is Israel’s number one target and has not been seen in public since the war began.
The officer told MEE that Israel’s military had become “obsessed” with Sinwar and the upper echelons of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.
Last month, a Hamas official said Sinwar had visited combat zones above the ground and held deliberations with the group's leadership abroad. Speaking to the pan-Arab news outlet Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed (or The New Arab), the Hamas official said Sinwar was not always staying in tunnels, as claimed by Israel, but also performing his duties in the field. MEE could not independently verify the reports on his whereabouts.
The military officer in Gaza said that conducting special operations targeting high-ranking individuals in a densely populated area risked making the conflict “perpetual”, and would be impossible without Israeli casualties and subsequent "retaliations" by the army.
“The army and intelligence are unable to make the right decisions in this respect,” one source said. An officer not currently serving in Gaza said a “new phase” of the war was being planned involving a long-term military presence through special operations.
“This plan has been partially approved by the US,” the officer told MEE. “It's all part of a plan agreed upon by the two countries for a Hamas-free Gaza.” MEE contacted the US State Department and the Israeli military for comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication. The US has previously said it opposes the re-occupation of Gaza or re-establishing a permanent Israeli presence there. Israel has repeatedly said its main war objectives remain "returning our hostages and eliminating Hamas".
<Captives 'no longer of concern'
According to the source, the planned long-term presence includes a ground invasion of Rafah, which Israel launched earlier this week. Israeli forces captured the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt on Tuesday, hours after its troops had disconnected a major road in eastern Rafah from the crossing. The capture came after several days of deadly heavy air raids and shelling of Rafah, where around 1.5 million displaced Palestinians have been sheltering for months.
It also followed an announcement by Hamas that it accepts a US-mediated ceasefire proposal that leads to the release of all captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, the end of the war and the full withdrawal of Israeli troops. Everything that Israeli leaders had “discussed for a while” was currently taking place, according to one of the military sources, who added that a temporary truce was likely to follow in order to quell anti-government protests in Israel. Hamas has repeatedly said it will not agree to a temporary truce.
“A few hostages might be exchanged. However, hostages are no longer of concern to anyone,” the source said. Israel estimates that 128 of around 250 captives taken to Gaza during Hamas's surprise attack on Israel in October remain there, including 35 who the military says are dead. Hamas says at least 70 captives have been killed in Israeli air strikes. Protests in Israel led by the families of captives have called on the government to end the war on Gaza and bring their loved ones home.
Responding to Hamas's agreement to the US-mediated ceasefire proposal on Monday, Netanyahu's office said the Palestinian group's stance was “far from meeting Israel’s core demands". However, he said that Israel "will dispatch a ranking delegation to Egypt in an effort to maximise the possibility of reaching an agreement on terms acceptable to Israel". Another round of indirect talks reportedly began on Tuesday in Cairo, with the presence of delegations from Hamas, Israel, the US, Qatar and Egypt. CIA director William Burns, who is leading the talks, is set to arrive in Israel and meet with Netanyahu.

‘Burn down the UN’: Israelis set fire to UNRWA office in occupied East Jerusalem
The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has been forced to shut down its headquarters in the occupied East Jerusalem after Israelis – some of them armed – set fire to the compound’s perimeter.
Philippe Lazzarini, head of the agency, said the fire caused “extensive damage” as “it took the Israeli fire extinguishers and police a while before they turned up”.
“This is an outrageous development,” said Lazzarini.
Over the past few months, UN staff have been “regularly” subjected to harassment and intimidation, the compound has been seriously damaged, and Israeli citizens have threatened the staff with guns.
“I call on all those who have influence to put an end to these attacks and hold all those responsible accountable.”

Booby-trapped tunnel blast wounds 3 Israeli soldiers in Rafah
The armed wing of Hamas in Gaza says it has detonated a booby-trapped tunnel in eastern Rafah when Israeli soldiers and vehicles were nearby, inflicting casualties.
The Israeli army confirmed the explosion and said three soldiers were “moderately” wounded. The Qassam Brigades claimed multiple attacks on Israeli positions, signaling heavy fighting is ongoing in southern Gaza.
In the north in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, Palestinian fighters hit Israeli forces with mortar rounds and targeted two armoured vehicles with al-Yassin rockets and an anti-tank explosive device, the The Qassam Brigades said. In the Sabra neighbourhood, also in Gaza City, a D9 military bulldozer was destroyed, it added.
Along the so-called Netzarim Corridor, which the Israeli army constructed to separate northern and southern Gaza, the Qassam Brigades claimed several mortar attacks.

'Israel' says to proceed with Rafah invasion, declares talks 'over'
The Israeli occupation responded to the mediators in the Gaza ceasefire talks by submitting its "reservations" about a Hamas proposal for a prisoner swap deal, a senior Israeli official said Thursday, as quoted by Reuters.
Moreover, the Israeli occupation declared that this round of talks in Cairo had ended, with CIA Director William Burns returning to the United States.
The US, however, said the talks had not ended and that its negotiating delegation was still in Cairo, saying there was still hope for the negotiations.
The Israeli delegation, on the other hand, is returning to occupied Palestine as the Israeli regime plans to proceed with its operation in Rafah and other parts of the Gaza Strip as planned, the official added.
White House National Security Advisor John Kirby underlined that the United States believes there are better ways to go after Hamas than invading Rafah.
"Israel" undertaking a major Rafah operation will not advance the objective of both Washington and Tel Aviv of defeating Hamas in Gaza, Kirby added.
"Smashing into Rafah, in [US President Joe Biden's] view, will not advance that objective," Kirby told reporters.
Moreover, the White House communicated "concerns" to the Israeli occupation regarding the use of heavy bombs in Rafah, adding that Washington could help "Israel" target Hamas leaders, including Yahya Sinwar.
On another note, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said today the US fears that a significant military action in Rafah will make "Israel" less strong in negotiations with Hamas.
Miller stated that Washington and "Israel" are still working together to make changes to a cease-fire proposal that Hamas submitted, but that the process of finalizing the agreement's text was "incredibly difficult."
EU states mull jointly recognizing state of Palestine on May 21: RTÉ
May 21 is being considered as a date for jointly recognizing the State of Palestine by Ireland, Spain, and several other EU member states, RTÉ News reported on Thursday.
Two sources revealed that May 21 is being studied as the possible date for the declaration, and a third source said that communications between Ireland and Spain, as well as Slovenia and Malta, have been increasing in a vision of the countries jointly recognizing Palestinian statehood.
Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris spoke to his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez on May 6, which a government spokesperson labeled as "a good and thorough call" regarding the "grave situation in the Middle East."
"On recognition [of Palestine], our work continues together on recognizing the State of Palestine. They reaffirmed the wish for both Spain and Ireland to recognize Palestine, agreeing that formal recognition is an important part of acknowledging that a two-state solution is the only way to bring about peace and stability in the region, with the State of Palestine and the State of Israel living side-by-side in peace and security," the spokesperson said.
Speaking with RTÉ News, a spokesperson for Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense Micheál Martin said, "Discussions with a number of like-minded European partners are ongoing on the recognition of the State of Palestine."
"Ireland's focus will continue to be on ensuring a decision on recognition has a positive impact on the prospects for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, based on a two-state solution, and supports progress towards comprehensive regional peace, based on the principles of the Arab Peace Plan," they added.
At a meeting of the Green parliamentary party, Martin said that Ireland would vote in favor of Palestinian membership in the UN when the UN General Assembly considers this on May 10.
Irish officials also predict this vote to be carried by a significant margin.
Addressing the Green Party meeting, he said that Ireland would take part in the genocide case at the International Court of Justice after South Africa files its substantive case by October.
Martin also mentioned how Ireland was urging the European Commission to respond to the letter sent by Ireland and Spain asking for a review of the EU-"Israel" Association Agreement.
He also expressed worry over the increasing death toll in Gaza and the thousands of children who have been orphaned alongside the destruction-induced trauma haunting all Palestinians who will have to rebuild Gaza.
Former Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar and his Spanish, Maltese, and Slovenian counterparts released a joint statement on March 22 saying that they discussed their "readiness to recognize Palestine" and that they will take this step when it can make a positive contribution and the circumstances are right.
Eight EU member states recognize the State of Palestine, with Sweden being the most recent in 2014.

Mujahideen Movement and Mujahideen Brigades:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
"And do not think of those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision."
Continuing on the path of thorns and persisting on the path of jihad and resistance, and following in the footsteps of the noble martyrs who have marked the journey of victory and dignity with their blood, within the extended battle of Al-Aqsa Flood:
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement and its Military Wing, the Mujahideen Brigades, exalt a new group of its righteous martyrs in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, who fell during a treacherous zionist operation targeting the fighting Abu Shreiteh family, the family of the Secretary-General Dr. Asad Atiya Abu Shreiteh "Abu al-Sheikh", who has offered and continues to offer martyrs and sacrifices. Today, they ascended to the highest due to the treacherous zionist bombing:
The martyr leader, the freed prisoner Hatem Suleiman Abu Shreiteh, commander of the Sabra and Tel Al-Hawa Brigade in the Mujahideen Brigades.
Who spent many years in the occupation's prisons only to resume his shining jihad immediately after being freed from detention and ascended along with 12 members of his family as martyrs.
The family of the fighting commander Abu Khalid Abu Shreiteh "commander of the Northern Area in the Mujahideen Brigades", where his wife and three children were martyred.
Joining the caravan of our people's martyrs and the martyrs of the Mujahideen Movement, adding to those who preceded them in martyrdom from this fighting family, which has offered more than 130 martyrs in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.
As we bid farewell to our virtuous martyrs today, we affirm that the ascension of the martyrs and leaders will not stop our jihad nor our ongoing operations, Allah willing. It will only increase our determination and steadfastness until the sweeping away of the zionist entity and its expulsion from our land and the destruction of its fascist, terrorist army. We vow to Allah and then to our virtuous martyrs to continue the path of thorns and persist in the path of combat and resistance, regardless of the challenges and the magnitude of the sacrifices until complete liberation and redemption, God willing.
Allah is the Greatest, and glory belongs to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers.

Ansarallah Commander Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr El-Din Al-Houthi during his speech today, May 9th, 2024:
The "israeli" occupation of the Rafah crossing does not target only the Palestinian people but is also a show of force against the Egyptian people and army.
The invasion of the Rafah crossing is a challenge to Egypt and poses a threat to its security, in addition to violating and surpassing agreements with Egypt.
The zionist aggression on Rafah targets the displaced people there, and the threat to them at this stage is greater than in any previous stage.
The enemy's targeting of Rafah has not stopped, but with this ground operation, it aims to commit more massacres.
The American stance is trying to deceive public opinion and present a false image of what the "israeli" enemy is doing in Rafah.
The American, with clarity, encouraged the "israeli" occupation of the Rafah crossing, prepared the conditions for it, and is a partner in all its crimes.
The danger now is on what remains of Rafah and the potential massacres and great suffering for the Palestinian people resulting from the aggression.
The American is trying to deceive public opinion through claims of pressuring the "israeli" enemy to stop the arms shipment.
Once the American decides to stop the aggression on Gaza, the "israeli" aggression will stop, and the "israeli" will not take any further steps.
The American pretends to pressure the "israeli" enemy on Rafah and has provided it with a huge stockpile of bombs and weapons.
No one should be deceived by the American position as it is an actual partner in all the genocide crimes in Gaza and plays a primary role in the occupation of the Rafah crossing.
The occupation of the Rafah crossing will not achieve any military accomplishment for the enemy because it is a civilian area, not a military front for the resistance fighters.
The enemy's progress in parts of Rafah will not achieve any military achievement, as the steadfastness of the fighters continues even in the north of the Strip.
The greater the tragedy on the Palestinian people, the greater the burden of complacency and relinquishment from the regimes and peoples.
The level of criminality and savagery we witness from the zionist enemy has roots in deep-seated hatred and extreme hostility towards Arabs and Muslims.
The zionist animosity begins in their educational system for their children, becoming entrenched as a psychological condition, a complex, a belief, and a culture.
The support the enemy receives from the West stems from animosities and ambitions in our region alongside their existing zionist doctrine.
Issuing statements of condemnation will not benefit us as Arabs and Muslims, nor will they repel the American threat.
Events and evidence unequivocally indicate the importance of reviving conscious spiritual jihad within the Islamic nation.
Stagnation and passivity will not suffice against the enemy's motives of hatred, greed, and dangerous beliefs.
The Islamic nation needs to achieve a deterrent capability against its enemies to fend off danger.
With what's happening in Gaza, it's astonishing that some regimes negotiate security agreements with America for protection.
If “israel” wanted to target the countries seeking American protection, Washington would support it to leverage its influence and penetrate those countries.
The enemy operates within a long-term strategy and goals it seeks to achieve, and it's upon the nation to act with a steadfast vision that benefits and serves it.
It's dangerous for a person to witness the injustices in Gaza and not act, not react, not feel responsible.
Those who prioritize their material interests over responsibility may lose them when it's their turn and they are in a bad position, unprepared to face dangers.
Zionists globally and in Western societies seek to destroy human values and strip humanity of them.
Everyone must act to liberate humanity from zionist influence threatening its life, values, peace, and security.
We commend the student movement demanding an end to the aggression on Gaza, as it represents a humane voice expressing innate human values.
The student movement exposed American and Western zionists, who spoke of freedom and rights values.
All the rights headlines raised by the West vanished in their handling and suppression of student protests.
We hoped to see student protests supporting Palestine in Arab countries. Unfortunately, students and peoples are shackled in many Arab countries, even from popular demonstrations.
Student protests have alarmed zionists, especially as they occur in the elite circles, prompting the West to violently suppress them.
Using the label of "anti-Semitism" against student protests aims to silence mouths and confiscate freedoms. The label of "anti-Semitism" aims to fully subjugate Western societies to zionism.
We commend Turkey's declaration regarding its measures to limit exports or trade relations with the “israeli” enemy. We hope that the Turkish step will reach a full level in cutting trade relations with the “israeli” enemy.
We hope to expand awareness campaigns to broaden the boycott of American and “israeli” goods and companies supporting “israel”.
Hezbollah intensifies its operations against the "israeli" enemy, and the threats of the Minister of War were responded to by Hezbollah on the same day with strong operations.
Hezbollah escalates whenever the “israeli” enemy escalates.
Operations in the Yemeni front continue to target American, “israeli”, and British ships linked to the “israeli” enemy.
The number of operations during the month of Shawwal reached 25 operations carried out with 71 ballistic missiles, drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The number of targeted ships reached 112 vessels, and the operations during this week involved 10 ballistic missiles, drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
With the “israeli” aggression on Rafah in the fourth stage of escalation, any ships of any company involved in supply or transporting goods to the enemy and to any destination will be targeted.
Any ship transporting goods to enemy ports after the issuance of the ban will be a target for us wherever our hands reach.
When we make a decision at a certain stage, it means that we have the capabilities to implement it.
We are also thinking about the fifth stage now, and we have very important, sensitive, and impactful options against the enemies.
There are no red lines for us that can hinder us from carrying out our operations.
We seek to develop capabilities and provide resources to achieve great goals, God willing.
The “israeli” enemy is an enemy of the Islamic nation and poses a danger and a threat to global security and peace.
The American role with the “israelis” is an aggressive and brutal role that does not give any consideration to values, laws, or agreements.
The enemy only understands the language of force, and the nation needs to focus on the strength of deterrence.
We are thinking and practically striving for the fifth stage, and our ceiling in the fourth stage will strengthen, God willing, and gradually gain momentum.
There are no political calculations that affect our stance, and we are not influenced by incentives or intimidation tactics under the title of interest.
We did not pay attention to all the threats directed at us, and we are building on preparedness for all possibilities.
If every Arab and Islamic country adopted a position befitting them and cooperated among themselves, what is happening would not have occurred.
If any Arab country desires, we are ready to activate the capabilities stored in its warehouses instead of letting them rust or be misused against the “israeli” enemy.
We commend the stance of Arab countries that did not allow the Americans to use their territories to target our country.
Arab countries are deserving of the liberation witnessed by many African countries.
Some regimes have reached a point of weakness where they see themselves unable to protect themselves except through American intervention.
Popular activities in Yemen are excellent, and the momentum of marches and demonstrations in the past week was greater than the week before.
With the announcement of the fourth stage, the total number of marches and demonstrations reached 4,250 marches and demonstrations. The popular events, student protests, seminars, and evenings exceeded 300,000 activities.
The number of trainees in mobilization and military training reached 296,000, a good achievement that should continue.
The weekly million-man marches have become part of the weekly schedule for millions of our dear people.
Whenever the enemy escalates, we should escalate even more at all levels and activities.
The enemy's escalation regarding the Rafah crossing, east of Rafah, and the expected threat to the rest of Rafah must be met with greater action at all levels.
I call upon our people to participate in the million-man march to say to the Palestinian people in Gaza and in all of Palestine, to the residents of Rafah, and to the displaced in Rafah, "You are not alone, and we are with you until victory."

The fighters of Al-Qassam successfully blew up an booby-trapped tunnel opening on a zionist engineering unit comprised of 3 vehicles, a digger, and several soldiers, causing deaths and injuries, east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The IOF admits that 3 of its soldiers were wounded in the Al-Qassam tunnel explosion operation east of Rafah earlier today.
76 Spanish universities have cut their ties with universities of the zionist entity.
The public letter by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (which oversees 50 public and 26 private universities) made the announcement today, showing solidarity with "the feelings of our campuses and the demand that is spreading from them." The universities plan to suspend collaborations with "israeli" universities that "have not expressed a firm commitment to peace and compliance with international humanitarian law."
In addition, the the universities also pledged to "intensify cooperation with the Palestinian scientific and higher education system and expand our cooperation, volunteering and care programs for the refugee population."
The letter also calls for a permanent ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The moves following the University of the Basque's decision last month, and the decision of the senate of the University of Barcelona voting to suspend relations with the entity yesterday.
It is noteworthy that it also comes after the flame of the student movement spread to Europe, with Gaza solidarity encampments set up across Spain. Yesterday, Ireland’s Trinity College in Dublin also agreed to divest from "israel" after a week-long encampment. Encampments continue across Europe generally and in Spain in particular.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades:
We declare our responsibility for the heroic "Flag Ambush" operation, where a flagpole was rigged with an explosive device in one of the forests of the "Kochav HaShachar" settlement near the village of Al-Mughayyir east of Ramallah on 04-21-2024. A zionist settler was critically injured in the incident, in retaliation for the blood of the martyrs in the honorable Gaza and in response to the crimes of the settlers against the village of Al-Mughayyir.

A message sent by Hamas to the Palestinian factions regarding the negotiation developments in Cairo, obtained by Al-Aqsa TV:
Brothers and comrades, leaders of the national and Islamic action:
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
The negotiating delegation has left Cairo heading to Doha.
In practice, the "israeli" occupation refused the proposal presented by the mediators and raised objections on several central issues. Our position is to adhere to the national stance which agreed on the latest mediator's proposal.
Based on this, the ball is now completely in the "israeli" occupation's court.
The next step will be subject to Palestinian study based on adherence to the last proposal and taking into account the "israeli" occupation's last move by attacking Rafah and occupying the Rafah crossing.

Hamas active in north Gaza, expects to rebuild in south after Rafah invasion: Monitors
As Israel prepares to launch a full ground invasion of southern Gaza’s Rafah city, Israeli forces carried out their third “re-clearing” of Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood on Wednesday, “demonstrating that Hamas remains active beyond just Rafah”, war monitors said.
In their latest battlefield assessment, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Critical Threats Project (CTP) – two US-based think tanks – note that despite Israel’s repeated “clearing efforts”, Hamas “remains active and combat effective in the northern Gaza Strip”.
As Hamas has rebuilt its capacity in northern Gaza, so too will it likely rebuild in Rafah after the planned ground operation, the ISW and CTP said.
“Hamas’ remaining presence throughout the Gaza Strip supports CTP-ISW’s assessment that Hamas expects that it would survive an Israeli clearing operation into Rafah,” the monitors said.
“Hamas likely calculates that it could rebuild itself in Rafah in the same way that it is currently in the northern Gaza Strip,” they said.

Al-Qassam carries out a complex military operation in Rafah… and the occupation media acknowledges the killing of 4 soldiers in “two difficult incidents”
The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, confirmed today, Friday, that it had carried out a complex and simultaneous military operation against the occupation “army”, near the Al-Dawa Mosque, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
In details, the Al-Qassam Brigades explained that they targeted a building in which a number of Israeli soldiers were barricaded, with a “TBG” shell, while they targeted an occupation personnel carrier that was under the building, with a “Al-Yassin 105” shell.
In addition, the "Al-Qassam" targeted a foot group of Israeli soldiers, who were next to the tanker, with an anti-personnel missile, leaving all its members dead or injured.
An elaborate ambush at the Saad Sayel barracks site
The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced that they had ambushed an Israeli force, detonating a pre-prepared minefield inside the Saad Sayel barracks site, east of Rafah, leaving its members dead and wounded.
Al-Qassam targeted two Israeli tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells in the vicinity of Saad Sayel barracks, east of Rafah. In the same area, an occupation personnel carrier was also destroyed by a "Al-Yassin 105" shell, which caught fire.
In the Abu Halawa area, east of Rafah, the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an Al-Yassin 105 missile.
It bombed the Karam Abu Salem military site, east of the city, with heavy-caliber mortar shells, and the “Isnad Sufa” military site with a 114 mm short-range “Rajoum” missile system.
<Control of an Israeli drone
In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced its control of an Israeli “Skylark” drone in Rafah.
The Al-Quds Brigades bombed, with heavy-caliber mortar shells, the occupation soldiers and their vehicles penetrating east of the Al-Salam neighborhood, in the city of Rafah.
Meanwhile, the military media of the brigades published scenes documenting the occupation soldiers and their incursive vehicles, east of Rafah, with mortar lava.
As for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, they bombed concentrations of occupation soldiers and vehicles, with a barrage of heavy-caliber mortar shells, in the vicinity of the Abu Halawa area.
After their return from the areas of clashes, “Al-Aqsa Martyrs” fighters confirmed that they had targeted an Israeli vehicle with an RPG shell, and clashed with a foot force of 8 soldiers using machine guns and grenades, east of Rafah, leaving it dead and wounded.
Also, an Israeli military vehicle was targeted with an RPG shell in the vicinity of Saad Sayel Barracks.
For its part, the National Resistance Brigades (Forces of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim), the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, bombed the occupation mobilizations at the “Isnad Sufa” site, and its gatherings and vehicles penetrating southeast of Al-Shouka, east of Rafah, with short-range “107” missiles.
It also detonated an explosive device in an Israeli army vehicle near the Al-Shoka municipality building.
<"Two severe incidents" in Rafah
In the occupation entity, Israeli media confirmed that two “severe incidents” occurred in Rafah, where a bomb was detonated in a “Nimr” vehicle, while another vehicle was targeted by an anti-armor missile.
The occupation media indicated that 4 soldiers were killed in these two incidents, and a fifth soldier was injured, explaining that his condition was hopeless.
Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that the resistance was engaged in fierce clashes in the vicinity of the incursion area, east of Rafah, coinciding with Israeli artillery shelling.
Our correspondent confirmed that the resistance carried out an elaborate ambush against the occupation at the Saad Sayel site, east of Rafah, noting that Israeli helicopters landed repeatedly at the Karam Abu Salem military site, east of the city.
A leader from the Zaytoun neighborhood told Al-Mayadeen: We are engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation… and we destroyed a number of its vehicles
A field commander in the resistance from the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood confirmed to Al-Mayadeen , today, Friday, that there were fierce clashes with the Israeli occupation forces, southwest of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The resistance leader explained that the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Badr Mosque and the agency’s clinic, where the resistance fighters have been able to destroy several Israeli vehicles since yesterday, Thursday, in addition to raining down 60 mm mortar shells on the occupation forces.
The resistance was able to carry out its operations despite the fact that the attacking Israeli forces, “numbering twice the number of those who attempted to advance into the neighborhood about two months ago,” are now supported by dozens of tanks, troop carriers, and bulldozers, as the commander confirmed to Al-Mayadeen .
In addition to these reinforcements, the occupation "army" is intensifying the use of helicopters and drones, in addition to military aviation, according to what the field commander from the Zaytoun neighborhood indicated.
He added that, on Thursday night, the occupation blew up dozens of homes in the area, while others were bombed by military aircraft.
Meanwhile, the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, confirmed that it was engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation forces penetrating south of the Zaitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The Al-Qassam Brigades destroyed an Israeli "Merkava 4" tank, after targeting it with a "Al-Yassin 105" shell, also south of the neighborhood.
In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, targeted an Israeli military vehicle with an RPG missile in the vicinity of Al-Zaytoun Clinic, in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
The Al-Quds Brigades also bombed a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers in the vicinity of the “Moonlight” hall, on Street 8, in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
Also, the Al-Quds Brigades detonated a field of mines and high-explosive ground devices in a number of invading Israeli vehicles, east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
As for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, in the south of the neighborhood, they targeted an Israeli military vehicle with an RPG shell in the vicinity of the agency’s clinic, and a Merkava tank with an RPG in the vicinity of Badr Mosque.
After their return from the battle lines, Al-Aqsa Martyrs fighters confirmed that they had engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation soldiers in the area south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and had bombed a gathering of occupation soldiers with mortar shells in the vicinity of the “Ali Mosque,” southwest of the neighborhood

The UN ‘is now welcoming a terror state into its ranks’: Erdan
Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, has addressed the UN General Assembly.
Here are some extracts from his speech:
>The United Nations was founded with the mission of ensuring such tyranny (Nazis) never raises its ugly head again. Today, you are about to do the exact opposite and advance the establishment of a Palestinian terror state, which will be led by the Hitler of our times.
<Today, with sick and twisted irony, the very body established to prevent evil is now welcoming a terror state into its ranks.
>In every poll, Hamas is predicted to win Palestinian elections, if they ever happen.
<So today, the General Assembly is not only about to grant the rights to a state of the Palestinian Authority, today you about to grant privileges and rights to the future terror state of Hamas

Al-Qassam Brigades executed a complex and simultaneous military operation near the Al-Dawa Mosque east of Rafah, where they targeted a building where a number of soldiers were fortified with a "TBG" shell, targeted an infantry carrier under the building with an Al-Yassin 105 shell, and targeted a group of soldiers next to the carrier with an anti-personnel shell, resulting in all members of the force being either killed or injured.
Press sources reported that Al-Qassam Brigades attacked a zionist force with a precise ambush at the Saad Sayel barracks site east of Rafah.
A minefield was forcefully detonated inside the barracks and a Merkava tank was also targeted with an Al-Yassin 105 shell. Helicopters were observed carrying the dead and wounded away.
[Later reports indicated that additional tanks and APCs were targeted.]
To summarize a number of other reports, there has also been fighting in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, with several tanks targeted.
The UKMTO reported that a ship was attacked in the Gulf of Aden 195 nautical miles east of Aden, Yemen. The ship was reportedly approached by a smaller ship, where armed clashes broke out between it and the targeted ship.
IOF artillery shelling is heavily targeting eastern Rafah, amidst fierce clashes being waged by the Palestinian resistance in the area. The resistance is carrying out qualitative operations in eastern Rafah in the south and Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the north of the Strip, where IOF helicopters were seen transporting killed and wounded soldiers from both areas.
According to the IOF, 12 IOF soldiers were wounded after stepping on a "hornet's nest" in the southern Gaza Strip.
5 IOF soldiers were killed during battles with the resistance in the Gaza Strip today, according to zionist media.
The IOF admits to the deaths of 4 soldiers during a battle with the resistance in the northern Gaza Strip today, in addition to two seriously wounded soldiers.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades:
During the past 24 hours, the fighters of Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades carried out 7 jihadist missions, engaging in fierce clashes and targeting gatherings of zionist enemy army vehicles in the axes of advance in the Gaza Strip, which led to many deaths and injuries among the ranks of the enemy army.
[To be clear, I only mention a selected few operations in my posts here due to the sheer number of operations occurring. The ones I mention here are only a small fraction of the total. Today alone dozens of operations were reported and I only mentioned the most significant.]

A government office in Tiergarten, Berlin was targeted with a Molotov cocktail that broke through a window at dawn today, damaging a significant part of the targeted room and part of the hallway.
"If Gaza burns, Berlin will burn" was written outside of the building.
Leaked photos show the inside of the "Sde Teman" prison camp in the occupied Naqab for the first time, where the IOF has taken hundreds of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
In this camp, at least 29 Palestinian prisoners have been reported martyred, but the real number is much higher. Among the martyrs of the prison camps is Dr. Adnan Al-Barsh. Prisoners in the camp return with their limbs amputated due to the continuous shackling. Prisoners are blindfolded, and dressed in sweatpants and diapers that they are forced to defecate in.
As for those receiving medical "treatment" in the second section of the prison camp, they are also dressed in only diapers, with their hands and feet shackled to the bed, without adequate medical care and procedures carried out by untrained individuals.
A report by CNN published today details the extent of abuse and torture in "Sde Teman." Some "cleared" prisoners were forced to serve as intermediaries between the guards and the prisoners, granted the privilege of having their blindfolds removed.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ran, the head of the surgical unit at Indonesian Hospital, who was freed from "Sde Teman" after a month and served as an intermediary stated: "Part of my torture was being able to see how people were being tortured. At first you couldn’t see. You couldn’t see the torture, the vengeance, the oppression."
Prisoners in the camp are beaten for speaking to each other or moving, with dogs unleashed on them and returning with their bones broken.
The United Nations General Assembly approved by a vote of 143 to 9 (with 25 abstentions) to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations as its 194th member.
This comes after Palestine's bid for membership was vetoed by the US in the Security Council last month. The resolution that passed today does not grant Palestine membership, but asserts that it is qualified to join and recommended to the Security Council.
Ireland, Spain, Malta, and Slovenia also announced that they will recognize the Palestinian state on May 21st.

UNGA overwhelmingly votes to grant Palestine full membership
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) passed a resolution awarding Palestine full-membership status, within the agency itself, on Friday.
Although the vote is considered to be symbolic, it is a necessary step for the full recognition of Palestine as a member state in all UN agencies. Such a decision would need to be passed through the UN Security Council (UNSC).
The draft resolution was originally introduced by the United Arab Emirates, following a UNSC vote on April 18 that blocked a similar proposal.
"The State of Palestine is qualified for membership in the United Nations in accordance with article 4 of the Charter and should therefore be admitted," the draft read.
It also called on the Security Council to "reconsider the matter favorably."
On Friday, the proposal garnered the support of 143 member states, while 25 abstained and another nine voted against the text. However, the proposal successfully passed the two-thirds yes-vote requirement.
In detail, the decision will allow Palestine to submit proposals and amendments directly to the UNGA, without having to go through another member state, as it had previously done. It is worth noting that the text explicitly rules out letting Palestine sit on the UNSC and vote in the GA, two of the most important rights that a member of the United Nations can have.
"When you build a building, you build it one brick at a time. If some think it's symbolic, for us it's important as we are moving forward towards our natural and legal right to be a full member of the UN," Palestinian ambassador Riyad Mansour told reporters a day before the vote was scheduled to take place.
The United States was among the few countries to vote against the resolution for the expansion of Palestine's rights at the UNGA.
US mission to the United Nations spokesperson Nate Evans revealed the US' plan ahead of the vote on Friday.
In a statement, Evans said President Joe Biden's perspective on achieving peace in the region was through establishing the so-called two-state solution, the assurance of "Israel's" security, and "equality" between Palestinians and Israeli settlers in terms of freedom and dignity.
Commenting on the resolution, Evans stated "It remains the United States' view that unilateral measures at the United Nations and on the ground will not advance this goal. The General Assembly resolution being debated today is no exception and so the United States will be voting 'no' and encourages other member states to do the same."
The US further revealed that it would also vote, once again, against Palestine's full membership bid at the United Nations.
The head of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Mahmoud Abbas, said that the passing of the proposal shows that the world supports Palestine and rejects its occupation.
"This overwhelming vote in favor of Palestine confirms that the world stands with the freedom and rights of the Palestinian people and rejects the occupation," Abbas stated.
"In light of this vote, the State of Palestine will continue its endeavor to obtain full membership in the United Nations via a decision of the Security Council," he added.
On the other hand, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Gildan Erdan, shredded a copy of the UN charter with a small machine that he brought with him to the podium of the UNGA.
Erdan expressed his opposition to voting on promoting the rights of the Palestinian state.
Resistance destroyed numerous IOF vehicles in al-Zaytoun - Exclusive
A field leader in the Palestinian Resistance from al-Zaytoun neighborhood told Al Mayadeen that Resistance fighters are engaged in fierce confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces southwest of the neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The leader mentioned that the confrontations are concentrated around the vicinity of Badr Mosque and the UNRWA clinic, where Resistance fighters managed to destroy several Israeli military vehicles since Thursday, in addition to showering Israeli occupation troops with 60mm mortar shells.
The source confirmed that the Resistance fighters were able to successfully carry out their operations despite the attacking Israeli forces being twice the number of forces who attempted to advance in the neighborhood about two months ago, noting that the Israeli occupation forces were now supported by dozens of tanks, armored personnel carriers, and bulldozers.
According to the leader, the Israeli occupation army is also intensifying the use of helicopters, drones, and fighter jets in its attacks.
The field leader said that the Israeli occupation forces demolished dozens of homes while bombing others with warplanes in al-Zaytoun neighborhood late Thursday.
Australia's $59bln Cbus pension considers divesting from 'Israel'
A spokesperson for one of Australia’s largest pension funds, Cbus, confirmed that the company is looking into its investment policy after pressure from a major union to divest shares in companies that provide weapons and defense technology to "Israel".
In a statement, the spokesperson said that this comes amid “community concern over the conflict and loss of life in Gaza and Israel,” adding, “Cbus’s exclusions framework is currently under review to ensure it remains reflective of the current environment and responsive to our members’ concerns, while also ensuring we meet all of our regulatory obligations."
The Guardian first reported the matter, referring to companies including Lockheed Martin Corp. and RTX Corp, which represent around 0.01% of Cbus’ portfolio.
“However, we understand that even a small holding in the current climate may cause concern,” the spokesperson added.
The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, and Energy Union (CFMEU) discussed Cbus’ policy with its top management as part of a push for all industry pension funds to divest, due to concern over retirement savings invested with companies tied to "Israel", as per the union.
CFMEU National Secretary Zach Smith said in an emailed statement, “We welcome Cbus urgently reviewing its portfolio,” noting, “Now it’s up to other industry funds to follow their lead.”
Cbus owns almost A$3 million (around $2m) of shares in Lockheed Martin, known to give "Israel" F-35 fighter jets, as per the latest disclosures on its website, as it also owns A$3.5 million ($2.3m) of shares in RTX which sells arms to "Israel".
In response, a Lockheed Martin spokesperson said, "Questions regarding investment strategy and related policies are best addressed by Cbus."

Yemen’s Houthis thwart ‘spying network’ amid expanding military ops: ReportThe group has arrested multiple people accused of working with the intelligence services of the US and Israel through intermediaries in the region, according to a report in Iranian state-linked media.
The Tasnim news website, affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), quoted a Houthi military official as saying a “network of mercenaries” who were in contact with an intermediary linked with the United Arab Emirates were arrested in western Yemen.
The official said they were passing information on where the Houthis were trying to launch missiles and where their forces were located.

The whole thing used to be a non-issue but it was astroturfed into being a big bugbear for conservatives because the Southern Strategy (open racism) was no longer viable. It's also how Christians as a whole got turned into a voting bloc when they used to be in conflict with each other - catholics and prots used to think of one another as fundamentally opposed and distinct groups before the party realignment united them on (mainly) abortion.
It's actually a major strategic blunder for the GOP to actually revoke abortion rights like this though, since the reality of it is extremely offputting and has been costing them elections they otherwise would have been able to win. At the same time it exposes the liberals as fundamentally incompetent. Even with Trump's supreme court, democrats could pass legislation enshrining abortion rights as a law, and unless SCOTUS could come up with some insane troll logic why it would be unconstitutional (after a case was brought to them) it would stand.

Union Theological Seminary (UTS), affiliated with Columbia University in New York, became the first university in the US to divest from all companies profiting from the war in Gaza.
The UTS board of trustees voted yesterday on the divestment, and is now transitioning to selling shares of identified companies, following a portfolio review in November of last year. UTS has a $127 million endowment, which previously was screened for investments in weapons companies.
UTS president, Reverend Serene Jones stated: "We do it with humility and we do it with a sense of moral conviction."
The statement of the trustees said: "With respect to companies that are profiting from the present war in Palestine, we continue to hold these standards high and have taken steps to identify all investments, both domestic and global, that support and profit from the present killing of innocent civilians in Palestine."
The board of trustees also plans to reinvest in "humanitarian and entrepreneurial" work in the region.

There is a partial withdrawal of the occupation army from around the Zaytoun clinic after fierce battles with the resistance.
The resistance targeted in the past two days the forces that were positioned in the area with mortar shells and anti-tank rockets.
The occupation's tanks have redeployed near the state junction on Salah al-Din Street south of the neighborhood.
Artillery and aerial bombardment is still ongoing on several axes in the Zaytoun neighborhood.
There is extensive destruction in the area surrounding the schools Street.

CNN exposes horrible Israeli torture methods on Palestinian detainees
Three Israeli whistleblowers working at the Sde Teiman torture camp, a "holding" site for Palestinians abducted during "Israel's" invasion of Gaza, have come forward with testimonies of systemic abuses by the military, including prisoners being restrained, blindfolded, and forced to wear diapers, CNN reports.
The whistleblowers described the grim conditions that Palestinian detainees face in Sde Teiman, stating that they were not allowed to move, talk, or even peek under their blindfolds.
"We were told they were not allowed to move. They should sit upright. They’re not allowed to talk. Not allowed to peek under their blindfold," the whistleblowers told CNN.
Guards were instructed to enforce silence using Arabic commands like "uskot" (shut up: اسكت) and to identify and punish individuals described as "problematic."
They described "a routine search when the guards would unleash large dogs on sleeping detainees, lobbing a sound grenade at the enclosure as troops barged in."
Located approximately 18 miles from the Gaza separation line, the facility is said to be divided into two sections: enclosures where around 70 Palestinian detainees from Gaza are subjected to extreme physical restraint, and a field hospital where injured detainees are immobilized, diapered, and fed through straws.
"They stripped them down of anything that resembles human beings," they said.
According to the whistleblowers, the beatings inflicted upon detainees were said to be done out of spite and not intended for intelligence gathering.
"(The beatings) were not done to gather intelligence. They were done out of revenge," one of the whistleblowers said.
One whistleblower recounted witnessing an amputation performed on a man who had sustained injuries caused by the constant zip-tying of his wrists.
These testimonies align with details from a letter authored by a doctor working at Sde Teiman which was published by Haaretz in April.
"Just this week, two prisoners had their legs amputated due to handcuff injuries, which unfortunately is a routine event," the physician said in the letter dated April.
He mentioned that prisoners were fed via straws, forced to use diapers for bodily functions, and subjected to continuous restraints, actions that contravene medical ethics and legal standards.
"We are all complicit in breaking law," he was quoted as saying.
Former detainee Dr. Mohammed al-Ran said that after being cleared of any links to Hamas links. He functioned as Shawish for a few weeks. The Shawish acted as middlemen to communicate and translate communications with Israeli guards on behalf of prisoners.
Al-Ran said he received "a special privilege", namely the removal of his blindfold. This was a different type of hell, he said.
“Part of my torture was being able to see how people were being tortured,” Al-Ran said. "At first you couldn’t see. You couldn’t see the torture, the vengeance, the oppression."
“When they removed my blindfold, I could see the extent of the humiliation and abasement … I could see the extent to which they saw us not as human beings but as animals.”
Earlier today, Hamas warned that the Israeli prison administration's escalation of its aggressive policies against prisoners and detainees "will result in further explosions in the face of the occupation."
Following circulating reports of abuse and torture in Israeli prisons, the Palestinian Resistance group made it clear that the systematic assault on prisoners and detainees "will not weaken their resolve," reiterating that the Resistance is committed to their liberation, a statement read.
It pointed out that the reported abuse and torture of prisoners and detainees indicate that the Israeli occupation government adopts a policy of deliberate attacks against them, motivated by punishment and revenge.
Hamas emphasized that the Palestinian people "will not leave their prisoners and detainees to fall victim to the brutality of the Nazi-like occupation," stressing that the Resistance remains committed to achieving their imminent freedom.
The movement called on the masses of the Palestinian people, their factions, and youths to boost their revolutionary and resistant actions in support of the prisoners by all means.
Elsewhere, Hamas warned the "fascist Israeli government" against continuing with its criminal policy and held it fully responsible for the well-being of every prisoner and detainee.
74% of settlers won't return to North without security solution: Study
The Israeli Globes website conducted a recent study involving 340 settlers who have evacuated the occupied north, examining the impact of the eviction months since the northern front was ignited.
The study's findings pained a "harsh image" of groups that are experiencing mental crises because they felt neglected and abandoned by the Israeli occupation. The sampled settlers also reported struggling to go back to ordinary life, according to the website.
Israeli professor Meirav Aharon-Gutman, who was leading the study, said the occupation government and military "did not work in accordance to their drawn plan, nor did they mobilize to find a solution," noting that settlers residing in northern border settlements, "the guardians of agriculture, nature, and the borders, felt that the evacuation ruined the basic nature of their lives."
Gutman added that the issue of education was more prominent than other problems stemming from the evacuation. She noted that parents have to enroll their children in school by the set deadline of September 1, but have no idea where to enroll them because many had to pause their education amid the evacuation.
She further stated that students who had graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic have no regard for the "idea of school", emphasizing that the younger generation does not have study habits, which keeps expanding the educational gap.
The study showed that more than a third of the sampled settlers were concerned about the state of security, as well as the absence of services in the occupied north, and have been telling their children not to return to the "hostage life" in the north.
An additional finding revealed that settlers were taken by surprise at the evacuation order. 77% of settlers reportedly never expected that they would have to leave their houses, while 91% did not expect the evacuation to last more than three months.
Moreover, 36% of respondents revealed that they were currently unemployed, while 34% reported working from home. The study shows a dispersion between unemployment, unpaid leave, new jobs, and working at the same job but in a different geographical location.
Regarding the educational sector, most students have been studying in temporary learning facilities in shelters.
In the mental and familial scope, 23% of respondents said their family relations have been damaged, whereas a fifth resorted to mental health treatments due to the increased substance abuse (smoking, alcohol intake…).
Globes stated that the state of emergency deepens the crises, and time plays its role. As it passes, psychological drainage grows.
It was also emphasized that 74% of respondents have conditioned their return with a security military operation that pushes Hezbollah far from the border, or at least guarantees constant military presence in the area.
Aside from that, 55% believe that only a large-scale war would change the situation.
For the future, 73% stated that the northern settler population would decrease, while only 32% believed that the conflict would pass with the situation going back to normal. 63% emphasized that they do not rely on the occupation government to provide a swift return.
According to Aharon-Gutman, a wide-scale and holistic operation, that should have been planned and launched months ago, is the only way settlers would return to the occupied north.
"If we examine the methods the government was employing to execute the northern plan, we can see that it has failed," the Israeli professor said.

'Israel' decides to expand Rafah invasion amid int'l outrage
The Israeli war cabinet on Friday approved an expansion of the Israeli Occupation Forces' area of invasion in the southern Gaza city, Axios reports.
This decision occurs despite US President Joe Biden's recent statement warning that if "Israel" were to invade Rafah, where over a million displaced Palestinians seek refuge, the US would cease supplying artillery shells, bombs for fighter jets, and other offensive weapons.
Sources familiar with the details told Axios that the expansion of military operations is "measured" and intends to address alleged security concerns without crossing Biden's declared "red line."
Other sources however suggest that the approved expansion may include actions that could be viewed by the US as violating Biden's ultimatum.
The cabinet further directed the Israeli team engaged in negotiations for an exchange deal to persist in their efforts, the sources added.
The Israeli regime claims that Rafah serves as a stronghold for the Palestinian resistance to justify its increased military presence in the area.
Extremist ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich voted against the decision to stop the invasion. Instead, they advocated for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt negotiations and initiate a full-scale invasion of Rafah, as per the sources.
They also discussed measures being taken to address the humanitarian crisis, including efforts to reopen the Rafah crossing and resume aid shipments through "Kerem Shalom".
But the repercussions of this blockade have already begun to unfold rapidly.
Earlier today, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital's administration, a hospital located in the central Gaza Strip, announced that its facilities will run out of fuel in the coming 48 hours, forcing it to put its services on hold.
Gaza's Government Media Office said that the fuel shortage, experienced by the hospital, will spur an imminent "humanitarian crisis."
The office urged immediate intervention to supply all of Gaza's medical facilities with energy supplies and to rehabilitate destroyed and damaged facilities.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the closure of the Rafah border crossing, which is the only available land pathway into the besieged Gaza Strip via Egypt, will affect fuel and aid supplied, as well as the movement of civilians.
OCHA said in a statement that the Strip's hospitals will be out of service if energy supplies are not delivered to them within the next 24 hours.
The organization has also stated that all crossings into the southern Gaza Strip remain closed, cutting off supplies and preventing medical evacuations, and the movement of humanitarian staff.
Egypt to annul Camp David Accords if Rafah invasion continues: Maariv
Israeli newspaper Maariv reported on Friday that Egyptian officials told William Burns, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), that the United States must pressure "Israel" to halt all operations in Rafah and reconduct serious negotiations, or else Egypt would annul the Camp David Accords.
Maariv further stated that Egyptian media has been increasingly calling for the annulment of the bilateral agreement between Egypt and the Israeli occupation, which prompted Israeli officials to call their Egyptian counterparts to ask about the nature and extent of this request.
The news outlet simultaneously discussed the most recent and unprecedented Egyptian move which called on humanitarian aid truck drivers to evacuate Egypt's side of the Rafah crossing, while intensifying security operations in the area, explaining that it could reflect fears or concerns about the deterioration of the border region's security.
On Thursday, the Israeli occupation responded to the mediators in the Gaza ceasefire talks by submitting its "reservations" about a Hamas proposal for a prisoner swap deal, a senior Israeli official said Thursday, as quoted by Reuters.
