Saraya Al-Quds - Tulkarem Brigade:
Approved for publication.
As part of the Battle of The Truthful, after the occupation announced only a fraction of its losses and refused to acknowledge the full truth, we in the Tulkarem Brigade assure you that the enemy's losses are greater than that, and we present to you these scenes.
Notes:
0:02 - From the might of our fighters during the Battle of The Truthful Promise.
0:13 - The video shows the injury of one of the soldiers of the zionist "Duvdevan" unit.
0:28 - The video shows the transportation of one of the dead zionists.
0:38 - The video shows the detonation of a fortified troop carrier with an Al-Ali explosive device, its damage, and the killing and wounding of those inside it.
0:44 - The ambushes of death in Nour Shams camp.
[This refers to the recent days-long invasion of Nour Shams camp and Tulkarm, in which 19 Palestinians were killed. The IOF has claimed 10 injuries, but resistance groups including Saraya Al-Quds have reported that their real number of deaths and injuries was much higher.]
Forwarded from Samidoun:
Statement: Student organizations in the Gaza Strip in solidarity with the Student Intifada in the United States
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most mercifulโฆ
We, the students of Gaza, salute the students of Columbia University, Yale University, New York University, Rutgers University, the University of Michigan, and dozens of universities across the United States who are rising up in solidarity with Gaza and to put an end to the Zionist-U.S. genocide against our people in Gaza. As we remain under the bombs of occupation, resisting Nazi genocide, grieving for our martyred colleagues and faculty, and witnessing the destruction of our universities, we welcome the examples of solidarity offered by students facing arrest, police violence, suspension, eviction, and expulsion in order to demand that their universities end their complicity in the Zionist-U.S. genocide and renounce their support for the occupation and the war profiteers that arm it.
We have seen hundreds of students arrested across the United States as they work to transform their universities into โPopular Universities for Gaza.โ Students, faculty, and staff are disrupting university operations and making clear that while universities in Gaza are being bombed, university business cannot continue as usual in the United States. These actions come as university administrations collaborate with members of Congress to discredit conscientious student activists and faculty, expel students, ban events, shut down student organizations such as Students for Justice in Palestine, and condemn activists working to end the Nazi genocide. At the same time, these same universities invest in the same companies that profit from the continued sale of weapons to the Zionist regime to continue its genocidal offensive.
Our students โ and our educational system as a whole โ in occupied Palestine are subjected to ongoing genocidal aggression: our universities destroyed and bombed, our student organizations banned, and our student leaders subjected to torture, assassination and mass imprisonment. However, in Palestine and around the world, the student movement has always been a driving force of our struggle for liberation. When we see videos and images from American universities today, we are reminded of our history of student struggle as well as the student uprisings of 1968, which challenged imperialism from Vietnam to Palestine and reshaped the face of Europe and the United States. Now, in 2024, the student movement is once again leading the way.
From here in Gaza, we see you and salute you. Your actions and activism matter, especially in the heart of the empire, in the United States. As members of Congress agree to provide $26 billion in additional weapons to bomb our people and continue the Zionist-U.S. genocide, you are taking meaningful action to shut down the war machine on your campuses. It is clear that a new generation is rising that will no longer accept Zionism, racism and genocide, and that stands with Palestine and our liberation from the river to the sea.
Your global student solidarity is breaking boundaries, and it is time to smash the US imperialist war machine. From Gaza to Columbia, to Ann Arbor and Berkeley, our hands are joined to end Nazi genocide and achieve our collective liberation.

American police deployed snipers near the student encampment in solidarity for Gaza at Ohio State University, and police violently attacked the protest, arresting several students.
At Emory University in Georgia, police violently arrested a number of faculty protestors, including an economics professor and the chair of the philosophy department, and they tased an on-site medic. They shot rubber bullets and tear gas.
It should be noted that these tactics of repression and violence are exchanged between US police departments and the IOF in occupied Palestine, with at least 69 cop cities having been built since 2020 to teach IOF tactics, using IOF trainers.
Students are undeterred, having set up a number of new liberated zones and refusing to back down (FIT, IU-Bloomington, UCLA, UT Arlington, Cornell, UH, UPenn, PSU, Stanford, and more) bringing the number of ongoing encampments to at least 50.

Despite intense repression, the number of university encampments in solidarity with Gaza continues to grow, demanding divestment from zionism and an end to the genocide in Palestine, in addition to a growing number of solidarity protests.
Hundredsโ including faculty and professors protecting studentsโhave been arrested or beaten by American zionist police forces, whose tactics are inherited from the IOF.
The encampments are employing a diversity of strategies, but their demands and goals are united: full divestment, an end to genocide, and material disruption. Physical space is being reclaimed, with Cal Poly Humboldt students renaming "Siemens Hall" to "Intifada Hall" and Emerson students in Boston renaming the street of their encampment "Walid Daqqah Alley."

The Freedom Flotilla is ready to sail. All the required paperwork has been submitted to the port authority, and the cargo has been loaded and prepared for the trip to Gaza.
However, today we received word of an administrative roadblock initiated by Israel in an attempt to prevent our departure. Israel is pressuring the Republic of Guinea Bissau to withdraw its flag from our lead shipโAkdeniz (โMediterraneanโ). This triggered a request for an additional inspection, this one by the flag state, that delays our April 26 planned departure.
This is another example of Israel obstructing the delivery of life-saving aid to the people in Gaza who face a deliberately created famine. How many more children will die of malnutrition and dehydration because of this delay and an ongoing siege, which must be broken?
This is not the first time that Israel has used these kinds of tactics to stop our ships from sailing. We have overcome them before and are diligently working to overcome this latest attempt. Our vessels have already passed all required inspections and we are confident that the Akdeniz will pass this inspection provided there is no political interference. We expect this to be no more than a few days delay. Israel will not break our resolve to reach the people of Gaza.
For the 28th week, the people of Yemen gathered in millions across the country in support of the steadfast Palestinian people and their resistance, under the slogan "With the Gaza of Glory.. Mobilization and Alert."
The protesters sent their solidarity to the resistance movements in the region and the historic student movement in the US, holding banners which read "To the brave American students, stand your ground! Yemen stands with you for a free Palestine! They can arrest you, but they can never break your spirit!"
A million man march took place in Sana'a, marches in 21 squares took place in in Al-Hodeidah governorate, 20 massive marches in Al-Mahwit governorate, 20 marches in Saada, as well as marches in Al-Bayda and Hajja governorates.
The statement issued by those gathered in Sana'a affirmed:
โWe salute the legendary steadfastness of the great Palestinian fighting people.
We commend the jihadist operations of the Palestinian resistance and express our strong condemnation of the major crimes revealed by the mass graves.
We emphasize the importance of continuing popular and official events and activities in support and reinforcement of the Palestinian people at all levels.
We affirm the continuation of mobilization to the training and rehabilitation camps with great momentum and high morale, graduating tens of thousands of fighters.
We renew our ongoing demand for the opening of safe land corridors that allow us to reach and participate directly in the battle alongside the fighters in occupied Palestine.
We bless our Armed Forces for their ongoing and effective operations in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Sacred Jihad, engaging in confrontation at sea, and call for more operations.
We bless the continuous and painful operations inflicted on the enemy by the fighters in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq.
We call upon the peoples of our nation and the free people of the world to activate the economic boycott weapon against American and 'israeli' goods and the companies supporting them."

US walks back on sanctioning Israeli occupation forces unit
The Biden administration, after reportedly finding three battalions within the Israeli occupation forces to be violating human rights and taking the decision to sanction it, decided not to proceed with the punitive measures.
The three battalions, found to be committing "gross human rights violations" against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, will walk away scott-free as no sanctions will be imposed on them, ABC News reported.
US Secretary of State Antony Binken informed US House Speaker Mike Johnson of the decision in a Friday letter, wherein he reportedly said the fact that they were found to be violating human rights would not impede or delay the delivery of any type of assistance to the Israeli occupation.
Blinken underlined that the Israeli occupation forces would receive the full amount of arms and funds appropriated by Congress.
It is not at all surprising that the Biden administration did not go forward with the sanctions, as Israeli lobbying is known to be fully effective, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had pledged to fight tooth and nail against the sanctions.
Netanyahu had declared his staunch opposition to any potential sanctions imposed on Israeli military units over rights violations.
In a statement, Netanyahu asserted, "If anyone thinks they can impose sanctions on a unit of the [Israeli forces] - I will fight it with all my strength."
Axios reported Saturday that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is poised to announce sanctions against the Israel occupation forces (IOF) Netzah Yehuda Battalion for "alleged human rights violations" in the occupied West Bank.
This would have marked the first instance of the United States imposing sanctions on an Israeli military unit, which comes as a surprise, especially since the IOF has been enjoying impunity in Gaza and practically since its inception in 1948.
The sanctions were set to prohibit the battalion and its members from receiving any form of US military assistance or training, as outlined by a 1997 law authored by former Senator Patrick Leahy. This law prohibits U.S. foreign aid and Defense Department training programs from benefiting foreign security, military, and police units credibly accused of human rights violations.
The decision to sanction the Netzah Yehuda unit follows an alleged 'comprehensive investigation' conducted by a special State Department panel, which recommended disqualifying multiple Israeli military and police units operating in the West Bank from receiving US aid.
During a press conference in Italy, Blinken acknowledged the panel's recommendation and indicated that the administration would make decisions based on the results of the investigation.
A US official clarified that the sanctions against the Netzah Yehuda unit stem from incidents predating the October 7 Operation al-Aqsa Flood and were exclusively confined to actions occurring in the West Bank.
The Netzah Yehuda battalion, initially established as a specialized unit for ultra-orthodox soldiers, has garnered attention over the years for its controversial role in the West Bank. The battalion, exclusively composed of men, has been accused of violence against Palestinian civilians, just as the remainder of the Israeli occupation forces.
It was later reported that the United States might impose sanctions against units of the Israeli military and police other than the Netzah Yehuda battalion over alleged human rights violations, The Times of Israel reported on Monday citing undisclosed US sources; but it seems that none of that will come to fruition in light of the impurity enjoyed by "Israel", especially in the United States.

>BEIJING/CAIRO: China will host Palestinian unity talks between Islamist militant group Hamas and its rivals Fatah, the two groups and a Beijing-based diplomat said on Friday, a notable Chinese foray into Palestinian diplomacy amid the war in the Gaza Strip.
>A Fatah official told Reuters a delegation, led by the groupโs senior official Azzam Al-Ahmed, had left for China. A Hamas official said the factionโs team for the talks, led by senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk, would be flying there later on Friday.
>โWe support strengthening the authority of the Palestinian National Authority, and support all Palestinian factions in achieving reconciliation and increasing solidarity through dialogue and consultation,โ said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin at a regular briefing on Friday, without confirming the meeting.
This will never be over, so I won't talk about when this is over, but at some point we would like some examination into why so many Anglo leftists refuse to acknowledge China's support Palestine or even reverse it, despite evidence.
Note that this news, like most recent events regarding Chinese public diplomacy and positioning on Gaza, is now clearly suppressed within the Western MSM. I think I know why.

Israel is increasingly worried by the prospect of the International Criminal Court in The Hague issuing arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli political and military leaders for alleged breaches of international law in Gaza, Israeli television reported Thursday.
According to Channel 12 news, three ministers and several government legal experts held an โemergency discussionโ at the Prime Ministerโs Office on Tuesday about how to fend off the potential warrants.
The meeting was convened after Jerusalem received messages indicating that such warrants could be issued in the near future, the report said, without citing any sources.
Israeli officials confirmed to The Times of Israel that the meeting took place and said there were also discussions about the possibility that warrants could be issued against IDF officers.

Students occupiers at Cal Poly Humboldt opened up "Intifada Hall" (previously "Seimens Hall") to the public after a week-long occupation, coming an hour after they rejected negotiations with the administration.
The students refused to compromise or give into the administration's threats that they should leave by 5PM yesterday. Expecting a heightened police response, the students carried out riot shield training before opening up the building.
The occupation continues, and the campus is closed for the remainder of the semester. Only a few students were arrested, but a number have received suspensions.
It should be noted that 50% of Cal Poly Humboldt students are considered "low income," with about 20% of its students living from inside their cars and a third of them being first generation students.
Inside Intifada Hall, President Tom Jackson's office has been redecorated. Messages of solidarity with Gaza, Yemen, and the oppressed of the world decorate the inside and outside of the building.
"I will no longer be complicit in genocide," a quote by Aaron Bushnell, is written inside.
"We are not scared of you. You can make us bloody, but we will bash back. Because we are many. We are more than you. We are everywhere.
From Goudi'ni to Weelaunee to Palestine - Fuck IDF, APD, all state puppetry. End genocide everywhere."
Dozens of student occupiers from the Gaza solidarity encampment at Northeastern University in Boston have been placed inside police vans.
Protestors in solidarity outside the encampment are besieging the vans to prevent them from leaving in a de-arrest effort.
The raid of the encampment began 3 hours ago at 5 AM, amidst a heavy and ongoing police presence.
It is estimated over 100 students have been arrested. Paddywagons have been seen leaving campus via Leon and Forsyth Streets.
SWAT called on IU Bloomington encampment.
We need numbers at the CCNY camp now. Theyโve set up barriers at entrances and closed gates to campus. We need numbers in now before they close entrances/exits completely. Please spread the message to all networks and comrades.
Concordia and McGill University students in Montreal, Canada have began an indefinite encampment in the lowerfield of the McGill campus to demand an end to the genocide in Palestine. Following in the revolutionary steps of rising students globally, the students to let their universities be complicit in genocide.
Students in over 56 universitiesโin the United States, Britain, Australia, France, and now Canadaโhave begun indefinite encampments with the same demands, amidst violent repression.
After the video of the two zionist prisoners in Gaza released by Al-Qassam Brigades today expressing feelings of abandonment and demanding flexibility in negotiations, thousands of settlers have erupted in protest in front of the zionist Ministry of War in "Tel Aviv," as well as in 50 other locations, in Nahariyya in the far north and "Eilat" in the far south.
A statement from the families of the prisoners stated: "After 200 days, it is time to change direction… To all members of the government, if the price is ending the war, then end it."
"Entering Rafah will lead to more prisoners or to their death in captivity. 'Israel' must choose to either return the prisoners or Rafah."
The leader of the zionist opposition, Yair Lapid, also stated: "If the choice is between stopping the fighting in Gaza or concluding a deal, then we must reach a deal."
Violent confrontations broke out in "Tel Aviv" between zionist police and settlers demanding an exchange deal and ceasefire with the resistance. The protests erupted following the video of zionist prisoners released by Al-Qassam Brigades today.
The settlers broke through a police barrier near the "Kirya" IOF headquarters, and protests are continuing in over 50 locations in occupied Palestine.

Finishing yesterday's news now that Tor is back up:
Approximately 50 rockets were launched towards the vicinity of the IOF's "Meron" Air Base in northern occupied Palestine, with dozens making direct impact.
This comes a few hours after an IOF airstrike wounded 14 Lebanese and Syrian citizens in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah operations 04/27/2024:
08:30: targeted new positions of the enemy soldiers west of the "Shoumera" settlement with rocket weapons, achieving a direct hit.
17:05: launched a complex attack using attack drones and guided missiles on the military headquarters in the Manara settlement and the position of the 51st battalion belonging to the Golani Brigade, hitting it directly, as a response to the enemy's attacks on the steadfast villages and civilian homes, especially the towns of Kfar Kila and Kfar Shuba.
18:30: targeted the Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shuba hills with rocket weapons, hitting it directly.
23:53: targeted the โMeronโ settlement and surrounding settlements with dozens of Katyusha rockets in response to the enemy's attacks on the steadfast villages and civilian homes, especially the towns of Al-Qawzah, Markaba, and Serbeen.
Encampments and solidarity protests with Gaza have gone global, with over 56 ongoing encampments demanding divestment and an end to genocide across 5 countries. Today witnessed some of the fiercest repression, as well as symbolic victories.
Over 100 students were arrested at Northeastern University in Boston, where protestors employed de-arrest tactics and community protection. Encampments at University of Connecticut and Indiana University faced heavy police presence and dozens of arrests.
In the words of Jonathan Jackson: "Itโs come down on us hard now. There are twenty different breeds of pigs patrolling every street in the colony here…Repression is here! Thereโs a great deal of work to be doneโwith ourselvesโyet. But the day of the real dragon is coming. Long live the guerrilla!!"
Student occupiers continued to hold it down at "Intifada Hall" in Cal Poly Humboldt, a model for militant student action, where the still-occupied hall was opened to the public. United encampment at CUNY is going strong, where a message from political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal was delivered, followed by a reflection on the rising student movement published by Within Our Lifetime calling for escalation, rejecting the "outside agitator" smears, and blurring the lines between students and non-students in community.
Meanwhile, solidarity protests were held globally, and others are planned at universities internationally, including in Lebanon, where students are similarly calling for financial transparency and liberation. Students in Jordan called for a widespread pro-resistance protest. Messages of solidarity to rising students were delivered from Gaza, as well as Swaziland and India.
New encampments were set up at:
Arizona State University - Arizona
McGill University - Montreal, Canada
Swarthmore College - Swarthmore, PA

Resistance in Gaza presence similar to pre-October 7: Israeli media
Israeli media outlets reported on Saturday that the situation in the Gaza envelope "has returned to pre-October 7," affirming that Israeli officials' promises to "eliminate" the Resistance and achieve imminent victory are "completely detached from reality."
Israeli Channel 13 stated that Israeli officials "pledged to eliminate Hamas and assured the residents of the envelope that they could return to their homes, as it was safe, but last week proved that reality is far from the promises," referring to Resistance rocket launches from northern Gaza toward nearby settlements.
"Rockets were launched [targeting] the envelope area throughout last week, where sirens sounded in Nir Am, Ashkelon, Sderot, Kfar Silver, Zikim, and Mefalsim," journalist Almog Boker said. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Security Minister Yoav Gallant have pledged to "continue the war until Hamas and all its elements are eliminated," he continued.
The rockets were launched from the northern Gaza Strip, "an area where Gazans are not supposed to be," Boker added, despite the fact that top Israeli officials "sold the public the idea that it [north Gaza] is under army control."
"This indicates another fact worth mentioning," which is that Palestinians in Gaza have returned to the North and that fighters from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad still maintain a presence in the area.
Resistance fighters are not only launching rockets, but also targeting Israeli forces on the ground," the journalist warned, noting that "a Hamas fighter opened fire yesterday at an army patrol, killing a reserve officer."
Boker believed that this is because "the fighters there understand well that the area has returned to the days before October 7 .. while the army is responding inadequately."
Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported last week that, nearly 7 months after launching the war on the Strip, "Israel" has yet to bring back its captives, defeat the Resistance, reduce its influence, or effectively harm its capabilities, let alone "eliminate it", as top Israeli officials declared the elimination as one of the war's goals.
The outlet said that it is evident today that a handful of Israeli officials are claiming that war objectives in Gaza are being achieved, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing out as the main proponent of the "overwhelming decisive victory" slogan.
Netanyahu fears ICC arrest warrant: Israeli media
Sources indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is worried about the potential issuance of an arrest warrant against him by the International Criminal Court, reported the Israeli newspaper Maariv.
The newspaper reported that Netanyahu held private discussions with the United States to prevent the International Criminal Court from issuing an arrest warrant. It also indicated a prevailing belief that "the issuance of the arrest warrant is inevitable and may implicate not just Netanyahu, but also the Minister of Security and the Chief of Staff."
Earlier this week, Israeli Reserve General Itzhak Brik said in an op-ed published by the Israeli newspaper Maariv that "Israel should declare the end of the war because it truly lost." He added that the real circus that endangered the occupation was Netanyahu, Gantz, Gallant, and Halevi's coalition.
On the Israeli plot to invade Rafah, Brik commented that "Israel" cannot fully defeat Hamas, and a military offensive in Rafah would not better its chances. He reiterated "Israel's" defeat, saying "We really lost, in case you haven't understood that yet."
Slamming Netanyahu, the Reserve General said the Prime Minister is more interested in government than the war, and "feeds off the pressure from [Israeli Finance Minister Bezalzel] Smotrich and [Israeli Police Minister Itamar] Ben-Gvir". He further described Netanyahu as a man who goes with the flow of the catastrophe.
In a similar context, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz has previously criticized Netanyahu, describing him as "the master of failure in multiple fields." The critique highlighted his failures in the realms of security, diplomacy, and economics.
The newspaper suggested that, after these prolonged days of the war, the government's top priority should be the repatriation of Israeli captives from Gaza, even if it comes at the expense of a ceasefire, the release of thousands of Palestinian detainees, or the "overthrow of Hamas."

Breaking down the walls between campus and community, protestors in Germany organized a two-week-long encampment outside the German Parliament and Federal Chancellary before it was violently and brutally attacked by police.
We commend the bravery of our German comrades in standing for Palestine amidst among the worst anti-Palestinian repression in the world, exemplifying that encampments and occupation need not be limited to ivory towers.
Recently, Germany banned all languages except English and German at public events in an effort to limit Arabic-language speeches and demonstrations in the Arab capital of Europe. Pro-Palestinian events have been raided, with even the mildest pro-Palestinian voices being attacked, and Palestinian protests for Prisoners' Day and Nakba Day are banned yearly.
Alongside the US, Germany is the largest supplier of weapons to the zionist entity: 69% comes from the US, 30% comes from Germany, and the remaining 1% from other countries.
The encampment was violently dismantled by German forces this Friday, and protests erupted outside German embassies in European cities in protest of this decision. Despite this, the voice of the people cannot be subdued, and it will continue to grow louder under liberation.

they're not really that different from any current right-wing party in south europe, liberal free market policies, christian nationalism, they are still xenophobic but not on the basis of ethnicity, on the basis of religion, i say this because no nationalist here is a huge fan of immigrants unless they happen to be jewish or a christian assyrian from the levant running from persecution, our conservative party were never for gay rights or abortion before the 2010s, although they seem today okay with it today, voted in favor of it being legalized despite anger from voters, not because they became as you'd say, progressive, mostly just to flex on islamic refugees. make no mistake though, the nationalist party was wild back then, was fuckbuddies with mussolini, franco, the greek colonels, anyone who would help them hunt down the commies, and very anti gays and abortion, very anti-immigrants and anti-jewish, said it was okay with any human rights so long as they fit the bible, and it tried to kick out all freemason spies from the parliament, we used to refer to any fanatical supporters of the nationalist party as the blue shirts, pretty much all i know about them, they seem like a shell of their former self now.

The Israeli media reported that soldiers were injured in a Palestinian resistance operation in the vicinity of the โNetzarimโ checkpoint, which separates northern and southern Gaza.

>Abdulmalik Alejri, senior member of the Ansarallah Politburo:
"The death of Sheikh Abdul Majid al-Zindani brings to mind the era of global jihad led by Salafi Jihadism and the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1980s against what was then termed the communist threat. The result was that they handed America and the capitalist West a victory without war, as then-US President Reagan borrowed a phrase from his predecessor Nixon. In the context of the Cold War, Afghanistan, that distant corner of Central Asia, transformed into a hub of Islam, and Kabul became a destination for Arab mujahideen, while Palestine, with Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Prophet's Ascension, was within arm's reach, yet failed to attract Arab mujahideen to jihad or to the allure of the virgins. Ironically, when America occupied Afghanistan, Kabul ceased to be a hub of Islam and a destination for jihad.
At that time, Western capitalist intelligence agencies and their Arab allies succeeded in portraying Marx and socialism as a threat to religions, whereas the truth was that they posed a threat to exploitative capitalism, and Marx's battle was fundamentally against capitalist exploitation. Marx's legacy fundamentally did not prioritize religions, and all he wrote about them was few and scattered texts. His most important work, "Capital," in which his genius shines, explained the structure of capitalism, analyzed its internal mechanisms and contradictions, its capacity for expansion, crisis generation, and self-renewal. Even according to his adversaries, Marx's legacy remained the primary reference for analyzing capitalist crises, with his ideas resurfacing with each historical cycle of capitalist crises.
Marx believed that the Enlightenment had overthrown the exploitation of the church and that the real looming danger was capitalist exploitation, even suggesting that religion could play a positive role in mobilizing against capitalist exploitation. I don't understand how some perceive Marxism and communism as a threat to religion while finding no risks in liberal capitalism, even though the Enlightenment movement with its liberal tendencies was the one that battled the church, and the French Revolution raised the slogan "Hang the last king with the intestines of the last priest," while the slogans of the Bolshevik revolution called for overthrowing the bourgeois government. Naturally, this is just a question of amazement, as the issue as a whole is not as simple, and civilization cannot be reduced or approached solely from the angle of combating religion.
The real danger to religion is such exploitation of religion to serve the battles and projects of America and the imperial West in the region, and those involved should take heed from the dramatic end of the Afghan jihad."

Solidarity activists in Scotland have occupied the space in front of the Scottish Parliament for the last 4 days in an ongoing encampment, marking the third encampment that has broken out of the university gates after Berlin and New Orleans.
The community members are demanding an arms embargo, public and academic divestment, recognition of the genocide the UK is complicit in, the right to protest, and protection of the right to boycott.
Dozens of them have undertaken an open-ended hunger strike, which began when the encampment was launched, inspired by the hunger strikes of Yale graduate students last week, the famines of Gaza, and the long tradition of hunger strikes as a weapon by the Palestinain resistance and prisoners.
Students and community members have re-taken the George Washington University occupation in DC, breaking through barriers and piling them onto the middle of the occupied yard following a failed arrest.
After the DC police attempted to arrest a student, the community also successfully and quickly de-arrested them.
New Orleans police violently raided Palestine Square, the first non-university encampment in solidarity with Gaza, after it was launched hours ago. Community occupiers refused to leave after the park "closed" at 7 PM.
8-10 people were arrested, and one person was tasered by police, while several de-arrests were successfully carried out.
No.1838671
Head of Government Media Office, Salameh Maarouf:
We warn against the recurrence of incidents where explosives left by the occupation army in citizens' homes explode, especially those disguised as canned goods. Many citizens were injured by such booby-trapped cans, the latest being in the Al-Zana area of Khan Younis, where 14-year-old Mohammed Yasser Samour was seriously injured. He was searching for his personal belongings in his bombed house, found food cans left by the occupation, and opened them, causing an explosion that led to the amputation of some of his limbs and injured others with him.
We condemn the occupation's crime of deliberately booby-trapping the remnants it leaves behind, as if it were not enough to kill our people with direct bombing, thereby using the deception of booby-trapped cans to increase the number of martyrs and wounded, especially among children who cannot distinguish these remnants.
According to UN estimates, which are confirmed by reports from the competent government agencies: about 10% of the shells and bombs dropped by the occupation army, estimated at more than 75,000 tons of explosives, did not explode. This means about 7,500 tons of shells and bombs in the streets, on citizens' lands, in their homes, among the debris, and under the rubble in various areas of the Gaza Strip. This represents a severe danger that will not end even with the cessation of aggression, unless they are removed and the risk of their explosion is neutralized.
Therefore, we urge our citizens not to tamper with such remnants and to pay close attention to what the occupation army leaves behind, including canned food, and to communicate with civil defense teams and specialized explosive engineering authorities to deal with these remnants.
We demand that the international community introduce specialized engineering teams and explosives experts and provide the local competent authorities with the necessary technical capabilities to deal with these remnants and remove their danger from the citizens.
After 7 months of war, and after the occupation completely or partially destroyed 412 schools and universities across the Gaza Strip, youth initiatives have established schools in the camps of displacement for elementary students in an effort to continue their education and enrichment amidst the genocide.
The classrooms are a beacon of hope and steadfastness, allowing young students to pursue their students in the face of adversity.
Al-Qassam Brigades bombed, from southern Lebanon, the headquarters of the 769th Eastern Brigade, "Jibour Camp," in northern occupied Palestine, with a concentrated rocket barrage in response to the massacres of the zionist enemy in patient Gaza and the revolutionary West Bank.
The UKMTO reports that a ship was attacked in the Red Sea, 54 nautical miles northwest of Al-Mukha, Yemen.
The Ambrey maritime security company reported that a Malta-flagged container ship was targeted while en route from Djibouti to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia with at least three missiles.
Ambrey estimates suggest that the ship was targeted due to the operating entity's commercial relations with "israel."
At least 4 IOF soldiers were killed in the "Netzarim" axis ambush near Al-Mughraqa in the central Gaza Strip last night, according to sources for Al-Arabi.

Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades released exclusive footage of its recently revealed "jumping explosive," an anti-personnel explosive device that, once activated, jumps one meter from below the surface and explodes, directing shrapnel 30 meters in all directions.
The report discusses the creativity of the Al-Qassam Brigades in the 365 sq km Gaza Strip against a technologically advanced military. Below ground, the surface area of the tunnels is larger than the Strip itself. Exclusive scenes from within the tunnels are shown, including special tunnels whose purpose is to explode.
These special tunnels have been creatively used throughout Al-Aqsa Flood, swallowing soldiers in qualitative ambushes.
A leader in the Qassam Brigades told Al-Jazeera that preparing ambushes requires experience in dealing with explosives and adapting available means of combat to fit the theater of operations, and for the success of the ambush there must be precise intelligence effort that allows knowledge of the opponent's methods and routes.
According to the leader, the ambushes are built on three stages: luring the enemy, and what that requires in terms anticipating enemy reactions. The second stage involves camouflage and hiding the engineering traps, then waiting for the perfect moment in the most best place to activate the ambush. The traps are built using domestically-manufactured weapons and reverse engineering; others are developed based on knowledge of the weakness of IOF weapons.
Exclusive training clips are shown, including the anti-personnel jumping explosive, one of five known Al-Qassam explosives.
Remains of IOF vehicles and equipment weapons are shown, after being blown up in an ambush.

In a revolutionary nod to the 1968 uprisings, and in continuation of the campus legacy of resistance against complicity, Columbia students have begun occupying Hamilton Hall, the campusโs main administrative building, overseen by the universityโs genocide profiteers.
Students have de-occupied โHamilton Hallโ and hereby renamed it to โHindโs Hallโ in memory of Hind Rajab, a beloved 6 year old who was martyred at the hands of the Zionist regime.
Student occupiers at Virginia Commonwealth University repelled the assault of Virginia State Police who violently assaulted their encampment. This violent reaction by the state comes on just the first day of the encampment. However, students mitigated the number of arrests, supported each other, and mobilized hundreds to the location. Despite a number of injuries and arrests, the encampment continues.
A student sit-in is taking place at the Beirut Arab Univeristy in Tripoli, while students are protesting at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and in Sour.
Al-Mayadeen reported that students were prevented from protesting at AUB, and other sources reported that pro-resistance news outlets were prevented from stepping foot on the campus.
The students chant:
"Intifada and victory; the decision came from Gaza! We want to break the siege! Unity, Arab unity; Muslim and Christian!"
At AUB, they chanted: <strong>"To Al-Quds we are headed! Martyrs by the millions!"
"Put the sword against the sword! We are the men of Mohammed Deif!"
"Put the bullet in the chamber! Resistance is our choice!"
AUB students are demanding from AUB administration financial transparency and a boycott of companies complicit in genocide.
Students at Birzeit University in Ramallah seized the license plate of the German ambassador and smashed his car after successfully kicking him out of their university today, chasing him and his convoy out on foot due to Germany's role in the zionist genocide of Palestine while he tried to visit the Palestine Museum in Birzeit.
Birzeit students stated that the German ambassador, and other European ambassadors with him, attempted to deny their connection to the occupation, a baseless lie that angered the students, considering that 30% of weapons sales to the IOF come from Germany.
This is not the first time that the revolutionary students of Birzeit have expelled zionist politicians, having expelled the French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin in 2000 (after he called the Lebanese resistance "terrorists") and the British consul Vincent Fenn in 2013 for Britain's colonial relationship with the zionist entity and to highlight the prisoners' cause.
Jospin was targeted with stones, and the traitorous PA Forces arrested 15 students. As for Fenn, students besieged his car and raised photos of prisoners.
Scientists at the McMurdo research station in Antarctica show their support for Gaza and Palestine, stating: "Fund science not genocide."
Demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine have now reached all seven continents.
Palestinian sources to Al-Mayadeen regarding the between between Hamas and Fatah in Beijing today:
The meeting between Hamas and Fatah in Beijing reached several outcomes, the first of which is the affirmation of the need for Palestinian unity.
Hamas and Fatah emphasized the necessity of unity and ending the Palestinian division within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
There was emphasis on the inclusion of all Palestinian forces and factions into the Organization and its institutions, based on previous agreements.
Strengthening of Palestinian unity with the assistance of China, which will help end the occupation and establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Al-Quds.
The Hamas and Fatah meeting confirmed the necessity of forming a non-factional, temporary, national consensus government during or after the genocide war.
Among the tasks of this government are to perform its technical and administrative duties in relief, removing the effects of aggression, and reconstructing Gaza.
One of the main tasks of this government is to unify Palestinian institutions and prepare for general elections.
The formation of this temporary national consensus government removes the pretext of division from the hands of "israel" and America.
The Hamas and Fatah meeting affirmed the unity of the Palestinian stance regarding stopping the genocide war in Gaza and the full withdrawal of the "israeli" occupation army from the Strip.
The Hamas and Fatah meeting confirmed the coordination of national efforts in the entry of urgent aid and relief to the Gaza Strip.
The Hamas and Fatah meeting confirmed the arrangement with relevant parties in Gaza to form a joint bilateral committee in Cairo for coordination and follow-up.
Hamas and Fatah agreed on the need to revive joint committees between them and address any issues they face and stop media arguing.
Coordination of positions and efforts in the West Bank and Al-Quds to confront settler attacks on villages, towns, and assaults on Al-Aqsa.
Confirming the priority of the prisoners' cause and the necessity of preserving their rights and supporting them in this difficult stage they are subjected to the most severe forms of abuse.
These outcomes of the Hamas and Fatah meeting are considered the agenda for the next meeting between the two sides on July 14 in Beijing.

Despite the encampment being raided a few days ago, the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Portland State University in Oregon continues stronger than ever.
Students occupied the library overnight, which is now known as "Refaat Al-Areer Memorial Library." In a statement, the students said: "The Refaat Al-Areer Memorial Library now belongs to the people for Palestine. We will not leave until demands are met."
Today, the campus has been shut down.
PSU joins a growing number of encampments that have occupied physical buildings (including Princeton University, University of New Mexico, Columbia University, Reed College, and Parsons School of Design).
In response to the growing protest, the university administration has decided to stop accepting grants and gifts from Boeing for now.
Over 25 students were arrested at 3 AM today by over 100 police officers armed with batons at Cal Poly Humboldt, including a journalist and professor Dr. Rouhollah Aghasalehi, who has embarked on a hunger strike.
Dr. Aghasalehi stated: "I refuse to accept the label of criminal for standing up for an ethical reason…Until all my students and me are released and justice is served, I will endure this hunger strike as a testament to the strength of my convictions and unwavering commitment to truth and justice."
Besides arrests, students were handed suspensions. But they are unwavering and steadfast, determined to stand for the truth.
Intifada Hall (formerly "Siemens Hall"), the building occupied by the students for over a week, was cleared, after the students demonstrated a model in militancy and direct action for all solidarity actions.
NYPD has entered Hind Hall at Columbia University in New York, breaking barricades in front of the building with sledgehammers and has sent a SWAT team through the second floor.
All protestors outside the building were cleared, and the police are reportedly deploying tear gas. Students in solidarity with Palestine remain inside the building.
All press was forced by police out of the area, and several students were arrested outside the building.

Hundreds of activists have blockaded the Department for Business and Trade to protest the governmentโs refusal to suspend the sale of UK arms to Israel.
Activists organising under the banner of Workers for a Free Palestine blocked the entrance to the department, which grants export licences for the sale of British weapons to Israel, on Wednesday morning. Civil servants were blocked from entering the department and police were deployed to disperse the activists.
The action is part of a coordinated May Day blockade, with protesters also shutting down three arms factories across the UK.

Despite heavy police repression, protestors in solidarity with Gaza at University of South Florida fight back.
Students equipped themselves with umbrellas to guard against tear gas and rubber bullets when their encampment was attacked. They wore heat resistant gloves to be able to throw back the tear gas, and contained the canisters in an unsealed wide-mouth water jug.
This confrontation came after an astonishing escalation of police violence, which resulted in a handful of arrests. The next day, the protestors stood their ground against hundreds of police. A student reported: "Police used illegal tactics like choking people, attacking people with disabilities, arresting people who were already dispersing, and they even set off fires, endangering students."
Government Media Office on the occasion of International Workers' Day:
The occasion of "International Workers' Day" still comes with severe and unprecedented oppression against workers in the Gaza Strip, where the "israeli" occupation has killed thousands of them during the genocide war in the Gaza Strip. The unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip reached 75% at the beginning of the current year 2024, compared to 46% before the genocide war, while more than 200,000 people lost their jobs during the first 3 months of the war, including about 5,000 fishermen, as the occupation army imposes a suffocating siege and prevents fishermen from fishing in the sea, and even shoots and kills them directly, and the crimes of killing fishermen were repeated during the genocide war of those who were looking for a living.
This occasion comes as the poverty rate has risen to more than 90% in the Gaza Strip concurrently with catastrophic war conditions, and at a time when 95% of the economic establishments in the Gaza Strip have completely stopped working due to bombing, destruction, and genocide, extending over 18 years of the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
This occasion comes as the total initial direct losses of the genocide on the Gaza Strip amounted to 33 billion dollars, where the "israeli" occupation destroyed 15 sectors of work and life in Gaza, and these sectors are: the housing and domestic sector, the service and municipalities sector, the commercial sector, the industrial sector, the government sector, the agricultural sector, the health sector, the educational sector, the media sector, the entertainment and hotel sector, the communications and internet sector, the transport and communications sector, and the electricity sector, where tens of thousands lost their jobs and businesses.
- On this occasion, "International Workers' Day," we strongly condemn the targeting by the "israeli" occupation of 15 sectors of work in the Gaza Strip, and we call on the whole world to condemn this crime against the workers and against the Gaza Strip.
- We hold the "Israeli" occupation, the American administration, and the international community fully responsible for the harsh and inhumane conditions that the workers of the Gaza Strip are living in on their international day.
- We call on all free world countries and all global and international organizations to stand by their responsibilities to stop the genocide war against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and we ask them to provide direct support to the workers in the Gaza Strip, especially those who lost their jobs and livelihoods due to the war on the Gaza Strip.

International Workers' Day
Under protection of bystanding police, zionists violently attacked pro-Palestinian demonstrators at UCLA, drawing parallels to the IOF's protection of zionist settlers that attack Palestinian villages.
In contrast to the massive police presence seen at other universities, UCLA and city police were few in number, doing little to stop the provocateurs who shot fireworks and assaulted those calling for an end to genocide.
Whether it is evacuation notices, a heavy militarized and repressive police force, shutting down WiFi and water (such as at University of Minnesota), or shutting down community pantries and gates to starve student protestors (at CUNY and Columbia) as collective punishment, the parallels between the methods of oppression in the US and zionist entity are as clear as day.
Despite the repression at UCLA, students are holding the line, rebuilding barricades, and standing steadfast in their encampment.
Sources to Lebanese newspaper โAl-Akhbarโ:
The leadership of the resistance in Gaza and abroad sent a message to international bodies in contact with the Americans, the British, and the United Nations, rejecting any military presence of any party on the land of Gaza under the pretext of facilitating the transfer of aid.
The message clearly stated, surprising international bodies, that โthe military brigades of the resistance will consider any soldier who sets foot on Gazan land a hostile target, and will be dealt with as an occupying force.โ
Subsequently, the British authorities informed the American side of their decision to โreconsiderโ their initial approval to equip a security company that includes former military personnel to assume the task of protecting the aid after it is disembarked from the floating dock. The British stated that they did not have any guarantee that their members would not be exposed to resistance fire.
Yemeni naval sources told Al-Akhbar that the military tension between the Yemeni Armed Forces and the American and British navies has escalated to the highest levels over the past 48 hours, describing it as an "open naval war."
Numerous explosions were reported off the coasts of Khokha, Mokha, and Khor Omaira, across the Bab Al-Mandab strait.
Commercial ship traffic was stopped for hours because of the clashes.
Another naval source in Sanaa revealed to Al-Akhbar that "the Yemeni naval operations carried out in recent hours bear significant implications and reflect the extent of the military capabilities of the Sanaa forces."
The source explained that the Yemeni Armed Forces operation targeting "Orion" in the Indian Ocean this week involved advanced aircraft and occurred at the furthest point to west of Madagascar in the southern Indian Ocean, a significant development that will have significant repercussions on the "israeli" commercial ships coming through the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa to the ports of the zionist entity.
The city council of Richmond, California has voted to divest its investments from the zionist entity, taking their money out of a number of companies complicit in genocide, including Microsoft, AirBnb, IBM, Caterpillar, and Intel.
The resolution that passed includes restrictions on investments in companies involved in arms production, mass incarceration, and border surveillance, such as Elbit Systems.
The mayor stated: "I want to honor all those who have been resisting this genocide for over 29 weeks in Gaza and around the world. So many young people have put their bodies and livelihoods on the line to voice their resistance to what is happening. The moral urgency of this moment cannot be overstated.
"With the passing of this resolution, our city will no longer profit in any way from companies who facilitate this kind of massive violence and ethnic cleansing we're seeing in Gaza."
Richmond is the second city to divest, after Hayward, California.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, City College President Vincent Boudreau sent a letter to the CUNY Gaza Solidarity Encampment, warning that the encampment must be dismantled by the morning of May 1st, 2024, or the university would โconsider all legal, disciplinary and operational measures at our disposal." In a call with the vice-chancellor, a CUNY faculty member representing the encampment implored the administration not to use violent force against peaceful student protestors.
Inside the encampment, students who had earlier that day been engaged in craft workshops, teach-ins, and choir performances held a vote on whether to leave overnight, or to stay and defend the encampment. They voted unanimously to stay.
Campus security along with NYPD locked down all entrances to the campus in an effort
to block access in and out of the encampment. Thousands gathered outside the gates to protest in solidarity with the students.
At approximately 11pm, without warning, Boudreau requested the NYPD enter the encampment to arrest students and faculty. Boudreau claimed that he did so in the interests of student โsafetyโ because the CUNY students and workers peacefully protesting posed a security risk. Protestors stood their ground as SRG swarmed the campus and were viciously attacked. Police broke the ankle of an undergraduate student, broke the teeth of two protestors, attacked and burned many students, faculty and at least one journalist with pepper spray at close range, and beat many more with batons. Legal observers were denied entry or arrested. Among the first to be arrested was the faculty member who had been negotiating with the vice-president moments earlier. 133 arrests were made.
As officers made their way on to campus, an autonomous group of students managed to occupy the finance office of the Howard E. Wille administration building in a final act of resistance. The students held the building for over an hour until they were violently removed and arrested.
We will not be intimidated by these brutal and spineless tactics. We realize they express the universityโs fear of our commitment to the Palestinian national liberation struggle. We take our lead from the steadfast resistance of the Palestinian people, who face far greater threats and challenges than we do here. As we write, the IOF is preparing to invade Rafah, with reports that military-aged men are being prevented from leaving. Our university's complicity in Israel's brutal genocide is the reason we created this encampment, and it is the reason we will continue to fight for our five demands: disclose and divest, a full academic boycott of Israel, protection for students and workers who stand in solidarity with Palestine, the demilitarization of CUNY and Harlem, and a people's CUNY not beholden to big donors. We will not stop until these demands are met.
This is just the beginning.
Students at Fordham University in NYC have set up an encampment inside the building despite the escalated aggression against students last night at CUNY and Columbia and are now being kettled in a locked down campus surrounded by NYPD. Organizers are requesting support from the general public. Mobilize within your networks to join the rally at 60th and Columbus in Manhattan NOW.
We call on the community to support our brave students in the encampments around the city right now.
Head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Salameh Maarouf:
During April, a total of 4,887 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, with 1,166 trucks through the Rafah crossing and 3,721 trucks through the "Kerem Shalom" crossing. However, only 419 of these trucks entered the northern Gaza Strip.
This means that the daily average of aid trucks was 163, a number significantly lower than the needs of our people, especially in northern Gaza. This contradicts the American statements and the "israeli" claims that speak of increasing the number of aid trucks and the introduction of 300-400 trucks per day.
Despite a limited increase in the daily number of incoming trucks in the second half of the month, the total number of trucks did not change significantly due to the crossings being closed several days during the month for various reasons; meaning that the occupation still maintains roughly the same pace and seeks to deceive the world about changing the reality of aid entry.
The aid trucks that reached northern Gaza represent only about 8% of the total trucks, even though the northern areas are the most in need and the most affected by the food security crisis, with 700,000 citizens residing there. This modest quantity is insufficient to meet their various food and life necessities, which calls for efforts to increase the number of aid trucks to northern Gaza and raise their percentage of the total trucks entering the Strip.
We call for the permanent opening of all crossings leading to the Gaza Strip and the facilitation of aid access of no less than 1,000 trucks daily to overcome the food crisis that is afflicting our citizens in the central and southern Strip, and to end the famine and lack of food security indicators in the northern Strip.
We condemn the occupation's practices of restricting the work of relief institutions, targeting their staff, preventing them from working, and controlling the amount of food reaching our people to keep it below the levels of food security for them. We affirm that these practices are crimes that require accountability and contradict the measures issued by the International Court of Justice and the specific United Nations Security Council resolution, and the ongoing American discourse about the necessity of increasing the number of aid trucks.
We demand a more effective role for UNRWA and UN relief organizations such as the World Food Program, lifting the occupation's hand off these organizations, ending all forms of restrictions on them, and allowing them to operate freely.

'Israel' concerned that academic boycott will impact research, economy
Israeli media reports indicate evidence of academic boycotts against Israeli researchers in foreign universities, amid growing concerns about international boycotts.
The reports also stated that Israeli Minister of Education, Yifat Shasha-Biton, said she "intends to present a practical plan to the government as soon as possible, but such a plan requires a large budget."
Amid the protests at major universities in the US condemning Israeli aggression in Gaza, there are increasing estimates that "Israel" is facing an unprecedented academic boycott, while the occupation government is not taking action against it.
Israeli media highlighted that such boycotts could endanger Israeli academia and severely damage the economy.
According to Israeli Professor Manuel Trahtemberg, President of the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and former Chair of the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education, "International relations are the oxygen tube for academia, and academia is the oxygen tube for security and high-tech industries. If it is damaged, academia will suffer unprecedented damage, followed by the economy and security industries."
Congress threatens US retaliation if ICC issues Israeli arrests: Axios
Members of Congress have warned the International Criminal Court that arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials will result in US retaliation and legislation for it is already in the making, according to Axios.
It cited two Israeli officials saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked US President Joe Biden to prevent the ICC from issuing arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials responsible for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
A spokesperson for the White House National Security Council declined to comment on the contents of Netanyahu's call with Biden, but told Axios, "As we have publicly said many times, the ICC has no jurisdiction in this situation and we do not support its investigation."
At the same time, House Speaker Mike Johnson called the reported warrants "disgraceful" and "lawless".
"If unchallenged by the Biden administration, the ICC could create and assume unprecedented power to issue arrest warrants against American political leaders, American diplomats, and American military personnel," Johnson noted.
He urged the Biden administration to "immediately and unequivocally demand that the ICC stand down" and "use every available tool to prevent such an abomination."
Reportedly, the names of Netanyahu, Security Minister Yoav Gallant, and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi have been circled as suspects of war crimes that the ICC will look to prosecute.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul (R-Texas) relayed to Axios his expectation of a House version of Sen. Tom Cotton's (R-Ark.) bill to sanction ICC officials investigating the US and its allies, but said, "We hope it doesn't come to that."
Meanwhile, Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) called on the US to "think of whether we stay a signatory" to the Rome Statute which is the treaty that established the ICC, adding, "We have to think about talking to some of the countries that have ratified [the treaty] as to whether they want to support the organization."
"I know Congress will ensure consequences for such an absurd decision," Sherman wrote in a post on X.
Pro-"Israel" Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) ICC with Torres, calling for "strong consequences from both Congress and the President." On the other hand, Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), a publicly vocal critic of "Israel" said, "The ICC is an independent body, and it needs to proceed with what they need to do."
Another critic of "Israel", Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wisc.), said, "it's not a matter for Congress to be telling them what to be doing."
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) told Axios, "Why don't we see what happens, and then we can evaluate based on whatever comes out," and Rep. Dan Kildee (D-Mich.) voiced "concerns about the prosecution of the war" but "it's always a good idea to get the facts before making a judgment."
Earlier, US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel told reporters the Israeli military actions in Gaza are not comparable to Russian operations in Ukraine โ referring to the arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As Patel was questioned over the reason the US was against potential ICC legal action against Israeli officials, but supported ICC action against Russia, he said, "There is no moral equivalency between the kinds of things that we see [Putin] and the Kremlin undertake in comparison to the Israeli government."
He added that the US believes that the ICC does not have any jurisdiction over the Palestinian situation, pointing out that the United States is not a party to the treaty that established the ICC.
Lapid: Middle class collapsing, government got to go
The leader of the opposition in the Israeli government, Yair Lapid, stated that prices in "Israel" are rising, warning of the collapse of the middle class.
Through platform X, Lapid expressed that "prices are rising, and the middle class is collapsing," adding that "the current government is costing us dearly; if it does not step down, prices will continue to rise."
In this context, Israeli media reported an imminent wave of price increases starting tomorrow, noting that "in addition to the rising price of gasoline, which will increase again in May, government-regulated dairy products have become more expensive, with a long list of increases in food and cleaning product prices set to take effect."
Days ago, "Israel's" Channel Kan cited a senior source in the government's Ministry of Finance stating, "If the war continues, there is no choice but to raise taxes."
The source confirmed that the Israeli Ministry of Finance is considering raising taxes soon to finance the expenses of the war on Gaza.
This comes within the framework of the ongoing erosion of the Israeli economy since October 7, 2023, revealing the collapse of the notion of the Israeli economy's immunity to the impact of wars, amid rising government expenses, declining imports, decreasing exports, factory closures, and the collapse of the tourism sector, both domestically and internationally.
This economic contraction has been reflected in several indicators, including the continuous depreciation of the "shekel" and the downgrade of the government's credit rating by the American agency Moody's.
Israeli media reported that the former head of the Shin Bet, Yaakov Peri, said the existence of several fronts against "Israel" poses a problem for the latter amid internal political division and government instability.
In an interview with the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Peri said that "Israel" is fighting on a large number of fronts adding that it will not be able to find a solution or decision any time soon on any of them.
Addressing the battles on the Northern Front, Peri labeled them as very difficult and concerning emphasizing that in the current situation, it does not seem like a solution can be found, and going to war would pose a bigger problem.
The former head of the Shin Bet said that the level of operations in the West Bank and al-Quds has been increasing stressing that this constitutes a worrying and problematic front.
Peri also reminded me of the front with Yemen and the dangers in the Red Sea as well as the security issues in Eilat/Umm al-Rashrash and Southern-occupied Palestine. He also stressed that this was the first time "we witnessed" a direct clash with Iran.

Omar Abu Al-Ful from Tulkarem camp, a resistance fighter in Saraya Al-Quds and leader of the martyrdom unit of the Tulkarem Brigade, has ascended to martyrdom after the treacherous Palestinian Authorityโs Security Forces opened fire on his vehicle multiple times earlier today.
He is the third martyr to ascend by PA gunfire in Tulkarem in the last year, after Abdel Qader Zaqdeh and Motasim Al-Arif.
Glory to the martyrs.
Saraya Al-Quds - Tulkarem Brigade:
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,
"Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is capable of giving them victory."
O great masses of our people, O the free and the honorable, we address you as matters have reached a significant level, surpassing treachery, betrayal, and normalization.
We address you as your sons who have only emerged to defend your honor, your sanctities, and the soil of your violated and usurped land. We were never bandits, thieves, nor merchants of your cause which the henchmen of the occupation have sold cheaply in the market of cowardice and betrayal.
The city of Tulkarem, with its camps, has become a front of jihad and a destination loved by everyone who loves Allah and His Messenger. The path of thorns followed by those who reached Allah's pleasure before us annoys the enemies of Allah and everyone who aids them.
The Security Forces of the traitorous [Palestinian] Authority confronted us with a heinous crime, worse than its predecessors; from you, we have only known betrayal and the pursuit and handover of the honorable to the enemies of Allah, and the crushing of every jihad effort in the West Bank.
The [Security] Forces of treachery targeted the car of the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, shooting him directly, and it was later announced that he was martyred after attempts at resuscitation. This crime is just like any assassination operation by the special "israeli" units, such as the assassination of Jihad Shehadeh, Izz al-Din Awad, and their brothers in Tulkarem, Al-Shishani [Adham Mabrouka] and his brothers in Nablus, and Al-Saif [Abu Libdeh] and his comrades on the road to Arraba.
The martyr, the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, a member of the Tulkarem Brigade in Saraya Al-Quds, everyone attests that he joined his brothers in confronting the occupation with every incursion into the city, whether in Tulkarem camp or Nour Shams camp.
So O honorable people of this nation, is this the reward for someone who stood and fought the world's fiercest armies for more than fifty hours? Is this the reward for someone those who offered more than 70 martyrs, who does not accept dishonor in their religion, who refuses betrayal and strives for the liberation of the land from the filth of the oppressors?
But by Allah, your silence on the injustice of the oppressors and the betrayal of the traitors is but knives cutting us into pieces. By your deadly silence, you have left us to the dogs to tear our flesh with voracity and tranquility.
O sons of our great people, we mobilize you all to come out in marches of anger and disobedience against this corrupt regime, and to stand as one man with your brothers, the fighters defending your honor and sacred sites.
And Allah is dominant over His affair, but most people do not know.
Your loyal brothers and soldiers,
Nour Shams Camp Brigade,
Tulkarem Camp Brigade,
In all its military formations.
Note: The statement was also published by Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades - Youth of Revenge and Liberation in Tulkarem.

Amidst the presence of snipers, police violently attacked the UCLA Gaza Solidarity encampment once again, firing tear gas and flash bangs in rapid succession towards students. Protestors repelled the aggression, pushing away the police and displaying a number of creative tactics.
A number of students wore tear gas to protect from tear gas and pepper spray, while others created fortified shields to defend the encampment.
Zionist mobs played the recordings of children crying through speakers, mirroring the same twisted practice used by the IOF in Nusseirat camp in the Gaza Strip. Again, the police did little to curb the attack by the zionists, who reportedly allied with neo-Nazis in their attack on the camp.
After the police retreated, they returned again to attack the camp. Clashes are ongoing, and dozens have been arrested. UCLA students have demonstrated incredible resolve and bravery in resisting the invasion with the tools at their disposal, such as umbrellas and forming human walls, chanting "We're not leaving! You don't scare us!" towards the police.
Today, the Jawaharlal Nehru University student union in New Delhi forced the US ambassador to India to cancel his official visit to the university under the slogan "Genociders are not welcome!"
The state police raided the University of New Hampshire Palestine Solidarity Encampment. The students are calling for Jail Support at the Strafford County Jail 266 County Road.
In solidarity with Gaza, Palestine Action activists succeeded this morning at preventing access into the Bristol HQ of Elbit, the zionist's entity's largest weapons firm.

The ship was in the Red Sea for a month, as part of the European "Aspides" mission. Britain, Germany, Denmark, and France have all withdrawn military ships from the Red Sea in the last month.
Informed Palestinian sources to Al-Mayadeen:
There is a clear development in the latest document concerning the "israeli" side's retreat from its conditions on the return of the displaced and the withdrawal.
The most crucial issue for Hamas, which has not been resolved in the document, is the matter of ceasefire and an explicit situation for it.
The document has formed a new basis for negotiations that could soon lead to a comprehensive agreement.

Al Mayadeen obtains a copy of the mediated Palestinian-Israeli deal
Al Mayadeen has acquired the details of the latest proposed deal between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli occupation, specifically related to the prisoner exchange deal and related clauses.
The framework of the agreement aims to achieve the release of all Israeli civilian and military captives, be they dead or alive, held in the Gaza Strip. The agreement will not only encompass captives taken on October 7 but all Israeli captives.
Primarily, the deal's objective is to achieve calm in the area and work on reaching a ceasefire, the document acquired by Al Mayadeen explains.
In the first stage of the prisoner exchange deal, Israeli occupation forces will withdraw eastward, away from densely populated areas. Forces will be relocated to areas near the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israeli-occupied '48 Palestinian territories.
Israeli aircraft, both combat and reconnaissance, will be barred from flying over the Strip for a period of eight hours on a daily basis. However, on days when prisoners are being exchanged, Israeli aircraft will not fly over the Gaza Strip for a period of 10 hours.
On the seventh day of the deal and after women included in the deal are released, Israeli occupation forces will withdraw from al-Rashid Street and head eastwards, parallel to the Gaza Strip's main road, to Salah al-Din Street.
The withdrawal of occupation forces is expected to ease the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and will allow non-armed civilians to return to their homes.
On the 22nd day, and after one-third of the Israeli captives are released, the Israeli occupation forces will withdraw from the central Gaza Strip to an area near the separation fence.
This process will allow Palestinians forcibly displaced from the northern Gaza Strip to return to their residences.
The entry of concentrated amounts of humanitarian aid, including relief aid and fuel, will be facilitated in all stages of the agreement.
In the first stage, Hamas will release at least 33 captives, which includes all Israeli captives that are still alive. This group includes female Israeli servicepeople, civilians, children, elderly people, wounded individuals, and patients.
In turn, "Israel" will release 20 Palestinian children and women for every female or male Israeli captive released. The names of the released detainees will be agreed upon by the sides, in pre-set lists.
In detail, Hamas will release every living Israeli captive over the age of 50, wounded Israeli captive, and sick Israeli captive. "Israel" will therefore release 20 Palestinian captives, aged over 50, wounded, or sick.
Hamas will also release every living Israeli female conscript, who was serving on October 7, 2023. In return, "Israel" will release 40 Palestinian detainees in return for every Israeli servicewoman.
This includes 20 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 20 Palestinian prisoners serving shorter sentences.
Hamas will also release three captives on the first day of the deal, which will be followed by three captives every three days, encompassing female civilians and soldiers.
"Israel" will then release the agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners, according to the pre-set lists.
On the seventh day of the deal, Hamas will submit a list of the names of the remaining captives that it holds. These captives will be released on the 34th day of the deal.
Military operations will be halted for a number of days, determined by the number of Israeli captives remaining in captivity.
The continuity of the exchange process will be directly correlated with the Israeli side's commitment to the clauses of the deal, including the halting of military operations, the relocation of occupation forces, and the return of the displaced people.
Among the clauses is that released Palestinian detainees must not be re-detained on charges that they had previously been detained on.
On the 14th day, an agreed-upon number of wounded Palestinian military personnel will be transferred to hospitals outside the Gaza Strip, through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, to receive adequate medical attention.
On the 16th day of the deal, the sides are obligated to participate in indirect talks for sustainable calm in the region.
During the period of every stage, the United Nations, its agencies, and international organizations will begin to work on distributing and providing aid to Palestinians across the entirety of the Gaza Strip.
In the first stage, work will commence on the Gaza Strip's destroyed infrastructure. A coordinating body will also begin delivering the necessary heavy equipment to the Palestinian Civil Defense.
Facilitating the entry of necessary supplies, to establish temporary camps to accommodate forcibly displaced people who lost their homes during the war, is also among the clauses included in the deal.
The second stage of the deal will extend for 42 days, in which both sides are expected to agree on the necessary actions to reach and implement a sustainable calm.
In the second phase, the necessary arrangements will be made for the comprehensive reconstruction of housing units, civil facilities, and civilian infrastructure.
The third stage of the deal will also extend for a period of 42 days, in which the bodies and remains of both killed individuals on both sides will be exchanged.
A 5-year reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip will be implemented which will include the construction of housing units and civilian facilities and infrastructure. The Palestinian side will refrain from rebuilding military installations and infrastructure during that period.
Moreover, the Palestinian side will not import any equipment, raw materials, or other components to be used for military purposes.
According to the document obtained by Al Mayadeen, Qatar, Egypt, and the United States are the stated guarantors of the agreement.
Palestinian sources: Proposal formed a serious basis for negotiations
Informed Palestinian sources revealed to Al Mayadeen that "there is a clear development in the latest draft agreement, with the Israeli retreating from its conditions regarding withdrawal and the return of refugees."
The sources clarified to Al Mayadeen that "the most important issue for Hamas, which was not finalized in the draft, is the matter of a clear and explicit ceasefire agreement."
At the same time, they affirmed that "the draft document has formed a serious basis for negotiations that could soon lead to a comprehensive agreement."
Bloomberg: KSA arresting those criticizing 'Israel' online
Saudi Arabia is arresting individuals criticizing the Israeli occupation over its genocidal war on Gaza on social media platforms as normalization talks reach an advanced stage, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
The recent campaign of arrests is reportedly linked to security concerns, according to officials and rights activists.
This crackdown comes after the Israeli aggression on the Strip sparked outrage among Arab nations against the occupation, fracturing years of normalization efforts. Similarly, this sentiment has been echoed in the Western world, where growing protests, especially on university campuses, have been observed recently.
Saudi Arabia and its regional allies, including Egypt and Jordan, have expressed concern about this trend.
According to the report, the countries feared some parties could "exploit" the situation, which could lead to protests against governments similar to the Arab Spring.
Recent detentions in Saudi Arabia have involved a senior executive linked to the country's Vision 2030 economic plan, Bloomberg said, citing sources both inside and outside the kingdom. The individual in question was detained due to expressing opinions on the war on Gaza that authorities considered to be "incendiary".
A media figure who said that the occupation "should never be forgiven" was detained by authorities, the sources added. Another individual calling for the boycott of American fast food places in Saudi Arabia - for Washington's direct involvement in the genocide - was also arrested.
As per the news site, an individual familiar with the Saudi government's perspective acknowledged the recent arrests, attributing them to a heightened state of alert since the Resistance's October 7 operation, and a government effort to discourage individuals from making online statements regarding the Israeli war on Gaza that could jeopardize "national security."

Mr. Al-Houthi: We are preparing a new round of escalation if the aggression against Gaza continues
The leader of the right-wing Ansar Allah movement, Mr. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, confirmed on Thursday that Sanaa is preparing a new round of escalation if the Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Al-Houthi stressed that the naval operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces are โcomplex and important, and are based on advanced capabilities,โ noting that the economic losses of the United States and Britain will double now that they are facing the Indian Ocean dilemma.
Mr. Al-Houthi added that Washington and London are looking for alternative ways, and view this dilemma as a "very big problem."
He pointed out that "the enemies are astonished by the important and influential development of our operations in the Indian Ocean, and they have become very worried as the strikes pursued them after they retreated from the Red Sea to the Road of Good Hope."
In the same context, the Ansar Allah commander pointed out the withdrawal of 10 American warships, and 8 other European warships, from the Red Sea, attributing this to a feeling of failure to prevent or limit the operations of the Yemeni armed forces.
Mr. Al-Houthi confirmed that Washington also failed to prevent the armed forces from achieving casualties on their targets, despite its efforts to prevent the launching of missiles and drones, and its extensive monitoring.
He also added that there is a clear impact on the operations of the Yemeni Support Front operations in Umm al-Rashrash, south of occupied Palestine
Outcome of operations of the Yemeni armed forces
In his speech, the Ansar Allah leader announced the total number of operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces during the week, which amounted to 8, in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, all the way to the Indian Ocean and southern occupied Palestine.
Regarding the details of these operations, Mr. Al-Houthi explained that they were carried out via 33 ballistic and winged missiles and a drone.
He added that the armed forces targeted 6 ships linked to the Israeli occupation, the United States, and Britain, bringing the total number of ships targeted to 107, according to him.
He referred to the operation to shoot down an American armed reconnaissance plane , of the "MQ9" type, in the airspace of Saada, pointing out that this operation was the third during this period.
Since the beginning of the โAl-Aqsa Floodโ on October 7, the operations carried out amounted to 156 operations, targeting ships in the Red Sea and Israeli targets in southern occupied Palestine, according to the Ansar Allah commander.
Operations were carried out against ships with 606 ballistic and winged missiles and drones, while Israeli targets in the occupied territories were bombed with 111 ballistic and winged missiles and drones.
As for the American-British attacks on Yemen, they amounted to 452, between an air strike and a naval bombardment, resulting in 40 martyrs and 35 wounded, in the โbattle of the promised conquest and holy jihad.โ
"Awakening of conscience among the student community in the United States"
In his speech, Mr. Al-Houthi also touched on the protests taking place at dozens of universities in the United States, stressing that there is an awakening of conscience among the student community, despite the fact that Washington opposes the ceasefire in Gaza and wants the genocide against its people to continue.
Mr. Al-Houthi pointed out that the entities and organizations supporting the Israeli occupation โwent crazyโ about the peaceful student activity, which โexposed the American authorities and brought down the falsehood of their headlines,โ so that they could not tolerate this movement.
He likened the arrests and intimidation carried out by the American police against students and demonstrators to a "military attack by thugs."
On the other hand, Mr. Al-Houthi denounced the silence applied in most Arab countries, stressing that it is โflawed and not at all consistent with the nature of belonging to Islam and human responsibility.โ
โWashington seeks to secure a military presence through the floating dock.โ
Regarding the floating dock that the United States is working to build off the coast of the Gaza Strip, Mr. Al-Houthi explained that Washington is seeking to secure a military presence for itself and Britain through it.
Mr. Al-Houthi confirmed that the United States wants to control the aid that is provided to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, through the sea corridor, adding that it has ambitions for the wealth found there.
He added that the American "admits that stopping the aggression and siege on Gaza will extinguish other fires in the region," indicating that the correct solution is to restore stability to the region in general.
The exit of two million people announces preparations for the fourth round of escalation
success of the negotiations and reaching a ceasefire โdoes not mean the end of the conflict with the occupation, but rather the end of a round,โ stressing that โour peopleโs standing with the Palestinian people will continue in this round, and will qualify for the next rounds in a way that is greater and greater.โ
He called on the Yemeni people to stage a major exit on Friday, in the capital, Sanaa, and the rest of the governorates, explaining that this exit โwill warn the Americans against continuing intransigence and continuing the aggression and siege against the Palestinian people in Gaza.โ
He stressed that this exit of two million people "will confirm and announce preparations for the fourth round of escalation.

Hey guys, it's that one newbie-organizer Mao-head. I have been assigned to the newly-formed Operations Committee at a well-known and esteemed east-coast college. I rolled up with a trunk full of supplies, pitched some ideas to them, and got to talking and formed this new committee to better help manage things.
These kids are in desperate need of guidance. There are apparently no experienced student organizers around here, everyone in the orgs is older and has jobs, and there is some drama with a chapter of a well-known local org. I am in a unique position to devote a large portion of my time to this effort, and I have limited organizing experience, but still some, and have some years on them.

Saraya Al-Quds - Tubas Brigade:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
โThey know what is apparent of the worldly life, but they, of the Hereafter, are unaware.โ
May peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of creation and messengers, our master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
O masses of our fighting Muslim people, as we went out for the sake of Allah to repel injustice and harm of our people, our land, and our sanctities, we will also not hesitate to stand up to the injustice that befalls us from our own people, even if they are our brothers and fathers.
In response to what happened in Tulkarem, and the assassination of the fighter brother Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, who was struck by the hands of treachery and betrayal, we in the Tubas Brigade will not stand idly by in the face of this tyranny and this arrogance. Is not the treachery that befalls us from this occupier enough? Even those among us come to play their role, and we praise Allah that we fear no one but Allah and do not seek the pleasure of anyone except Him. And in Allah, we do not fear the blame of the blamer.
Hence, we call on all the West Bank brigades, with all their names and organizations, to join hand in hand to stand against this painful tyranny.
For our goal is clear, and we will not only go out to fight this occupier, we are ready to fight anyone who thinks about touching a hair of the fighters, whoever he may be. We no longer care about anything and do not accept injustice to anyone.
โSo be patient, indeed the promise of Allah is true. And let not those who are not certain deceive you.โ
Indeed, it is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.

Saraya Al-Quds commander Abu Shujaa:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Mercy for all of our righteous martyrs. Unfortunately, every time, the stabbing comes always from our sons, the Palestinian Authority. It is not the first time, nor the second or third time, and every time in all the governorates. However, in our governorate, our fighters were assassinated more than once, the last of whom was our brother Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, nicknamed "Kris."
Of course, he was a steadfast and stubborn fighter who fought several battles in the camp, Tulkarem camp, and Tulkarem governorate, the last of which was the raid on the camp for three days, a battle called the Promise of the Truthful. Unfortunately, he was assassinated by our [Palestinian Authority] Security Forces. We demand from all our great people to stand united and support us. We do not want to be betray; the blood of Muslims is forbidden, nor do we want to be… Our weapons and our compass is directed towards the enemy, and God willing, the compass will not deviate.
All our people, not just in the city Tulkarem but in all governorates, must act because it is everyoneโs turn. Today, it was our brother. Yesterday it was our brother Motasim Al-Arif, God have mercy on him and all the martyrs. Of course, our response here means that we conceded. And we conceded by not taking up arms and handed over the matter to Allah, not out of fear, but just to avoid bloodshed, but the [Palestinian] Authority took it to mean that he was killed today, and tomorrow it will kill you again.
Today, the turn came for our brother Ahmed Abu Al-Ful, and tomorrow it will be my turn, me or any fighter in this country.
We demand from all our people to rise against this tyranny. If you are not with us, and to support us, we will surrender our souls to God. We will surrender our souls to their Creator.
Go out, mobilizing. Tomorrow is Friday, so you must go out in massive marches, marches of rage and condemnation. Because, honestly, we are your support. You must be a support to us if you are not with us. This honestly affects us a lot and we say we are fighting under the banner of "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." You must be on our side, and we promise to meet your expectations, and to be one front, and to be as you know us always, our compass always directed against the enemy.
God willing, our Lord has enabled us to preserve the blood of our brother Ahmad Abu Al-Ful and all our martyrs, we have not forgotten their blood. All of the Palestinian Authority must stop its hand from our fighters, not just the Tulkarem Brigade but all brigades in the West Bank, because in every governorate there are assassinations in every governorate. Especially in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nablus, where there are fierce fighters.
We call on all our people to be one hand and to be on our side. God willing, we are on the path and about your good expectations. Of course, everyone saw how our brother, the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, was assassinated. It was the same scene of assassinating our brothers, the fighters, Jihad Shehadeh and Izz al-Din Awad, and some of the brother fighters.
This is enough, honestly. We say the Palestinian Authority: we are your brothers, and you are our brothers, and you are our support, you must keep your hands off us. We do not demand that you fight with us. Everyone saw these things when the camp was raided for three days. Everyone saw on the pages how you withdrew from the [PA] headquarters.
Honestly, honestly enough. And we say to our people, if you are not with us from now on, and I say it clearly and openly, we will surrender our souls to Allah.
And I say it on behalf of all the brother fighters in Tulkarem or in all the governorates. We will be about your good expectations and we demand from all the honorable sons of the governorate and all the West Bank all governorate to mount on the roofs at twelve midnight to hear your takbeers. Show the tyrants of the earth, the enemy, and the occupation that you are on our side. Of course, tomorrow, God willing, after Friday prayers, gather for marches in all governorates, let us hear your words and show the tyrants of the earth how you feel about the path and the politics they practice against your fighters.
Mercy for all our righteous martyrs, speedy recovery for the wounded, and freedom for the prisoners held by the occupation and the Palestinian detainees held by the Palestinian Authority.
Hundreds of police officers have surrounded Refaat Al-Areer Memorial Library at Portland State University in Oregon, where students are confronting the riot police amidst the week-long occupation of the library in support of Palestine. Riot police are macing students and assaulting protestors, leaving at least one person unconscious and threatening to arrest them.

A mass march breaks out in Amman, Jordan in support of Gaza and its resistance and demanding freedom for the dozens of detainees arrested by Jordanian authorities for supporting Palestine.

Portland State University students in Oregon repelled the large police presence, forcing them to retreat into a university building, following the massive invasion earlier today. Students successfully took down the fencing erected around Refaat Al-Areer Memorial Library.
The police prevented press and legal observers from accessing the library after their invasion of it, and students in it managed to avoid arrest. Supporting crowds mobilized to block police vans with a number of arrested students, which police violently responded to with pepper spray and rubber bullets.
The individual who maced protestors and drove their car through the crowd has been identified, and their car was destroyed.
The Columbia University chapter of the American Administration of University Professors calls for a vote of no confidence in Columbia president "Minouche Shafik" and all university administration, citing the unauthorized summoning of the NYPD to campus on the night of April 30th.
The decision to summon the police was carried out without permission by the University Senate or faculty, and resulted in the arrest of hundreds of students and use of force by the NYPD. Yesterday, it was revealed that an NYPD officer fired his gun inside of Hind's Hall, which had been occupied by student protestors.
The faculty condemned the "militarized lockdown" of the university, which has "irrevocably undermined" their trust in the administration. They cite the "culmination of shocking failures in decision-making" over the last seven months for the erosion of trust, noting the failure to respect student and faculty rights to free speech.
They called for the reopening of the university and withdrawal of the NYPD, which Shafik asked to remain on campus until May 17th.
Yesterday at Dartmouth University in New Hampshire, police violently arrested chair of Jewish Studies at the university, Annelise Orleck (65 years old) and banned her from campus for 6 months.
Two days ago, Southern Illinois University professor Steve Tamari was assaulted by police at Washington University in St. Louis for filming students, leaving him with 9 fractured ribs and a broken hand under the weight of several police officers.
Dr. Tamari wrote: "My ordeal, however, is a small price to pay for Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, aided and abetted by the U.S. government, the military, the political elite of both the Democratic and Republican parties, and, most outrageously, institutions of higher education like Washington University which give lip service to the principles of freedom of speech while they trample anything that might rattle the military industrial complex to which they are so beholden.
Meanwhile, all twelve of Gaza's universities have been destroyed. Ninety-four academics, scientists, and intellectuals have been targeted and killed in air strikes. Thousands of students have had their lives and careers cut short. Keep your eyes on Gaza."
French police have invaded Sciences Po University in Paris, to attempt to disperse the Gaza solidarity encampment on campus and have assaulted several students.
The French government decided to close and evacuate the university at this moment.
Six students at the university began a hunger strike yesterday in solidarity with Gaza.
Simultaneously, the NYPD carried out a surprise raid on the Gaza solidarity encampment at the NYU campus, arresting a number of people.
From France to Japan and Mexico, sit-ins and encampments continue in support of Palestine.
Camps were established at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, as well as the International Christian University and Hiroshima University, in addition to demonstrations at other Japanese universities.

A million-man march is taking place now in Yemen's Sabeen Square under the title "Loyalty of Yemen of the Ansar to Gaza of the Free," where the Yemeni Armed Forces will soon issue a statement regarding the details of the fourth round of escalation.
The march statement saluted the Palestinian people and resistance's steadfastness, affirming their commitment to popular activities in support of Palestine.
They commended the students at American and European universities, as well as the professors supporting them, expressing solidarity as their face zionist attacks and arrests.
They appreciated that the Yemeni Armed Forces responded to the popular calls to escalate and increase operations in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean, and congratulated the operations against the zionist enemy in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq.
They commended the movements in African countries to liberate themselves from American hegemony, and reiterated their demand to open land corridors to allow Yemeni fighters to reach Palestine.
Yemeni Armed Forces:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Almighty said: "And it was due upon Us to aid the believers."
This is the Truth of Allah Almighty.
The Yemeni Armed Forces continue to monitor the developments of the battle in Gaza Strip as part of the ongoing "israeli" and American aggression and the preparation to execute a military aggressive operation targeting the Rafah area. We also follow the proposal presented to the resistance, in which the enemy wants to snatch the prisoners' card without a permanent ceasefire.
Therefore,
Following the directives of Mr. Leader Abdulmalik Badr El-Din Al-Houthi, may God preserve him, in victory for the cause of the oppressed Palestinian people, and in response to the calls of the popular Palestinian resistance and amidst the stubbornness of the "israeli" and American enemy, the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of Allah Almighty, hereby announce the commencement of the fourth phase of escalation as follows:
Firstly: Targeting all ships violating the "israeli" navigation ban decision and heading towards the ports of occupied Palestine in the Mediterranean Sea in any area within our reach.
Secondly: This implementation begins from the moment of announcing this statement.Thirdly: Should the "israeli" enemy proceed with a aggressive military aggressive against Rafah, the Yemeni Armed Forces will impose comprehensive sanctions on all ships of companies involved in supplying and accessing the occupied Palestinian ports, regardless of nationality, and will prevent all ships of these companies from passing through the operational area of the Armed Forces, regardless of their destinations.
With the help of Allah Almighty and then based on the support and backing of the great Yemeni people and all the free people of the nation, the Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate in preparing and readying for broader and stronger escalatory stages until the aggression is halted and the siege on the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza Strip is lifted.
Allah is sufficient for us, and the best to rely upon, the best Lord and the best Helper.
Long live Yemen, free, dignified, and independent.
Victory for Yemen and all the free people of the nation.
Sana'a, 24 Shawwal 1445 Hijri,

Bloomberg: Turkey suspends all trade with 'Israelโ
Turkey has halted all exports and imports to and from "Israel", citing two Turkish officials as reported by Bloomberg.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and foreign and commerce ministries did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In 2023, the two parties' combined trade volume was $6.8 billion.
Last month the Turkish Trade Ministry announced the restriction of exports of certain products to "Israel". It underscored that the restriction will continue until "Israel" implements a cease-fire and allows โsufficient and uninterrupted flow" of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
At the time, the Israeli Foreign Minister accused Erdogan of prioritizing support for "Hamas over Turkey's economic interests."
When asked about Turkey's continuous commerce with Israel despite Ankara's harsh language, Erdogan claimed last month that Turkey no longer engages in "intense trade" with the occupation, explaining "that is done". He did not say Ankara had shut off all commerce with "Israel," however.
The Israeli occupation's foreign minister responded by calling Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a "dictator", accusing him of ignoring the interests of the people of Turkey by restricting ports for Israeli imports and exports.
Foreign Minister Israel Katz posted on X that "This is how a dictator behaves, disregarding the interests of the Turkish people and businessmen, and ignoring international trade agreements."
Katz said he instructed the foreign ministry to work to create alternatives for trade with Turkey, focusing on local production and imports from other countries.
On another note, some social media activists shed doubts over the reports, as they posted screenshots from maritime traffic websites showing that container ships that departed Turkey are still bound to Israeli-occupied ports of Palestine.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on Wednesday, in a joint press conference with Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in Ankara, that Turkey intends to participate in South Africa's case against "Israel" for genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
"Upon completion of the legal text of our work, we will submit the declaration of official intervention before the ICJ with the objective of implementing this political decision," Fidan added.
"Turkey will continue to support the Palestinian people in all circumstances," he stressed.
In January, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) directed "Israel" to abstain from actions potentially falling under the Genocide Convention and to guarantee that its military does not engage in genocidal activities against Palestinians, following South Africa's accusation of committing genocide in Gaza.
President Tayyip Erdogan stated in January that Turkey was furnishing evidence for the ICJ case, also referred to as the World Court.
In November 2023, the governing Justice and Development Party attorneys said that Turkey had filed a case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing him of committing genocide against the Palestinians.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed to reporters on November 4 that Turkey is no longer considering Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as its "interlocutor", but the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, Ibrahim Kalin, remains in contact with "Israel".
Almost 40% of Americans say US too supportive of 'Israelโ
According to a new ABC News-Ipsos survey released on Friday, over 40% of Americans believe the United States is providing too much assistance to Israel in its war on Gaza.
The poll shows that nearly four out of every ten Americans believe the US is doing too much to back the occupation, up from three out of ten in January.
In contrast, only one-third of those questioned believe Washington is doing too little to help.
Only 29% of Republicans believe the US is participating too much in the war, while 40% OF Democrats say so.
The poll also revealed that Americans feel former President Donald Trump is the greatest person to resolve the situation in the Middle East with 37% indicating they trust him and 29% trusting Joe Biden.
However, one-third indicated that they did not support either candidate on the topic.
The latest Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll reveals that since October 7, the support in swing states for US aid to "Israel" has significantly decreased, as November's elections draw nearer.
Results show that 51% of voters in the seven swing states said they either strongly or somewhat support aid to "Israel", which is down 11 percentage points from November when 62% supported it.
The poll surveyed registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The results will serve as a tricky dilemma for Biden, who has been showcasing unwavering support for the occupation and unconditional terms for military aid. Yet, Biden has tried to reach out to Arab and Muslim communities in the critical battleground state of Michigan - mostly to no avail.
80 years and $40bln needed for Gaza reconstruction: UNDP
Abdallah al-Dardari, the UN assistant secretary-general and director of the UN Development Programโs (UNDP) regional office for the Arab states, stated that the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip could take 80 years and $40 billion.
Speaking at a conference in Amman, Jordan, al-Dardari said the damage caused by "Israel" in Gaza has not been seen since the Second World War.
โThe scale of the destruction is huge and unprecedentedโฆThis is a mission that the global community has not dealt with since World War II,โ he stated, noting that reconstruction estimates could very possibly exceed $30 billion and reach $40 billion.
Currently, Gaza is buried beneath 37 million tons of rubble that only keeps piling on due to the occupation's relentless and deliberate destruction.
According to the UN official, reconstructing Gaza's fully destroyed complexes to rehabilitate it would take up to 80 years, assuming the pace equals that during previous wars in the Strip. It is worth noting that 72% of residential buildings have either been completely or partially destroyed over seven months since the occupation launched its onslaught.
Al-Dardari called on the international community to prioritize a meticulous housing plan for Gaza, which should reportedly be achieved in the first three years following the end of the war.
"Israel", according to the UNDP director, bombed Gaza back to the 1980s, destroying at least four decades' worth of international investments.
On Thursday, the UNDP issued a joint economic report with the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), revealing that more than half of Gaza's population is grappling with poverty as a result of the war. Since October, the Gazan poverty rate has spiked to 58.4%. This comes amid a 26.9% plunge in the Palestinian GDP, resulting in a loss of $7.1 billion, compared to 2023.
The evaluation also forecasted that if the war persisted for nine months, the poverty rate could potentially increase to over 60.7%, while the GDP might suffer an additional decline of 29 percent.
Simultaneously, the report stated that Gaza would be set back by 44 years by the ninth month of the genocide, should it proceed.
UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner also cautioned that the ongoing war was imposing significant and accumulating costs on Gazans and Palestinians, both in the present and in the foreseeable future.
Due to the ongoing Israeli genocidal war, at least 5% of the population has either been killed or injured as of mid-April.
Moreover, it was emphasized that approximately 7,000 individuals remain unaccounted for in Gaza.

14 Princeton University students have begun an open-ended hunger strike in solidarity with Gaza, which they will only end once their demands of the administration are met.
Using their bodies as a weapons and inspired by the long tradition of Palestinian prisoners and fighters, they declare: "We struggle together in solidarity with the people of Palestine. We commit our bodies to their liberation."
This comes as the administration refuses to engage with student demands to divest from the zionist entity. "We refuse to be silenced by the university administration's intimidation and repression tactics."
Their demands from the administration are:
>To meet with students to discuss their demands for disclosure and divestment of investments, as well as a full academic and cultural boycott of the zionist entity.
<Complete amnesty from all criminal and disciplinary charges for students.
>Reverse all campus bans and evictions of students.
The IOF stormed the home that has been besieged for 6 hours in Deir Al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem, opening fire and launching explosives inside it.
IOF bulldozers had demolished a large part of the besieged home and are continuing demolition in its vicinity.
An IOF surveillance drone was launched inside the home after its demolition.
The bulldozer reportedly dumped the body of a martyr in the vicinity of the home.
The Al-Qassam fighters inside the home are reportedly the executors of the Beit Lid and Bala'a operations in November 2023, which resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of IOF soldiers.
The IOF has fully withdrawn from Deir Al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem, following a military operation that lasted 15 hours.
At least three martyrs reportedly ascended following the IOF's siege of a home that housed Al-Qassam fighters, and fierce armed clashes erupted in its vicinity. The IOF repeatedly fired shoulder-fired missiles towards the home and demolished it with a bulldozer, opening fire at anything that moved near it.
The number of martyrs as a result of the 16-hour-long aggression on the besieged home in Deir Al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem, has increased to 6 following the IOF's withdrawal two hours ago.
A martyr was recovered from the rubble of the home without a head, while the IOF kidnapped the bodies of 3 other martyrs. One of the fighters besieged in the home emerged alive, but was abducted by the IOF.
Glory to the martyrs.
A security incident has been reported where a number of injured IOF soldiers have been evacuated using 5 military helicopters from the Gaza Strip, according to zionist sources.
National Resistance Brigades (Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces) spokesman, Abu Khaled:
Our forces continue to strike enemy positions across the Gaza Strip.
Commander Abu Khaled, the spokesperson for the Omar Al-Qasim Forces (the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine), issued a military statement announcing that the Omar Al-Qasim Forces continued to bombard enemy positions with mortars and rockets. Here are the details:
First: The artillery unit of the Omar Al-Qasim Forces targeted "israeli" enemy positions along the "Netzarim" axis with heavy mortar shells, causing personnel and equipment losses.
Second: In collaboration with Saraya Al-Quds (the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement), they targeted "israeli" enemy positions in the Sheikh Ajlin area southwest of Gaza City.

>>1842720I can share my thoughts, but I'm not a burger. The situation in the U.S. is sufficiently hostile and vicious I do not think my experience translates directly. Instead, I'll give you some general points that have been useful or I had to learn the hard way.
Make sure the core, active group is active and in frequent communication with the everyone else/every other group. They have to be easily recognized by the students and trusted besides. This avoids confusion over who is in the know and helps guide the mass when push comes to shove. If you are lucky, this will also make students refer to your group when the media comes a knockin', giving you wide birth to broadcast a message.
By the way, anarchists et al will do what they want and any attempt to fold them will raise tensions and cause incidents. So, let them do their thing. As long as they don't interfere with your work it shouldn't matter. Basically, keep an open mind and be cautious of assuming hostility.
Finally, you are there for all students. Do not go there to spread Maoism (or even socialism). Besides, the best way to convince people of communism is show its effectiveness in practice.
Rationale: you are only one person/small group among many others. As such you will have to work with them, despite their beliefs, conviction, or aims. Being clear and approachable makes it easier for everyone involved.
Learn your rights, and setup professional legal counseling/defence asap. On high profile issues like this, it's common for activist lawyers to give discounts or even work for free. The benefit of working with youngsters is that they have a lot of connections. One might know an uncle who has a friend who runs a lawyer firm who just so happen to have a bleeding heart (or some such).
Listen to your legal council, even if you disagree with it. Dealing with bullheads is the expertise of activist lawyers.
Rationale: this will frustrate the pigs and gives a sense of safety. Obviously, if it actually comes to prosecution, some security has already been prepared.
Probe everyone and anyone. I don't have much practical advice as this is not my wheelhouse, but outreach people can work wonders. In the case of unions or parties, keep in mind that members and rank and file might have very different perspective from their leadership. If you can't find support among higher level officials, go low.
Do not get caught up in the retarded sectarianism popular online. Obviously don't ally with anyone, but skipping over say the DSA because of their idiotic hippie-isms is not something you can afford.
Rationale: people is power, and you're going to need all the help you can get. Additionally, older organizations often carry lots of expertise. Being supported by local organizations also gives legitimacy to your cause and group.
Prepare for rats (snitches, backstabbers, careerists, wreckers). They are everywhere and you will have to deal with them. Do so sooner than later: these are a much bigger short term threat than any armed goons.
Do not underestimate state terrorists. Expect and prepare for blatantly illegal overreach. Make sure to secure your supplies. From past protests, it's obvious pigs will destroy any resources they can get to.
There are a ton of other things to discuss (emergency response, resolving conflicts, anti-cops, de-arresting, etc.), but I'm keeping it to this for now. There is also literature floating around that might find useful (e.g. someone recently posted a pamphlet on de-arresting).
My final advice is this: be like water. While we can learn a ton from actions from the past and advice from others, there is no one size fits all. You will have to adapt.
Best of luck.

>The subject of religious prophecies and their centrality to Israelโs political thought was once more highlighted following remarks by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, in a recent interview with the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth. Barak, perceived to be a โprogressiveโ politician, who was once the leader of Israelโs Labor Party, expressed fears that Israel will โdisintegrateโ before the 80th anniversary of its 1948 establishment.
>โThroughout the Jewish history, the Jews did not rule for more than eighty years, except in the two kingdoms of David and the Hasmonean dynasty and, in both periods, their disintegration began in the eighth decade,โ Barak said.
>Like Barak, Netanyahuโs comments were expressed in the form of fear over the future of Israel, and the looming โexistential threatโ, the cornerstone of Israeli hasbara throughout the years. At a Bible study session in his house in Jerusalem, Netanyahu had then warned that the Hasmonean kingdom, also known as the Maccabees, had merely survived for 80 years before it was conquered by the Romans in 63BC.
>The โHasmonean state lasted only 80 years, and we needed to exceed thisโ, Netanyahu was quoted by one of the attendees as saying, the Israeli Haaretz newspaper reported.
>But, even according to Netanyahuโs purported determination to exceed that number, he had reportedly vowed to ensure Israel will surpass the Maccabeesโ 80 years, and survive for 100 years. That is merely 20 years more. https://mizrachi.org/hamizrachi/the-curse-of-the-eighth-decade/>We have much to learn from history. Twice before there existed here, in the Land of Israel, sovereign Jewish kingdoms, and the beginning of the collapse of both kingdoms began in the eighth decade of their existence. Both kingdoms existed for about 220 years, but the beginning of their end sprouted โ with incredible timing! โ in the eighth decade of their sovereignty. It is the duty of Israelis here and now to ensure that the situation here does not become a rerun of the terrible movie weโve already seen twice before.
>The first Jewish state, founded by King David, accomplished phenomenal achievements and survived united for 80 years. In the 81st year, due to internal conflicts, the kingdom of the House of David disintegrated into the separate kingdoms of Yehuda and Yisrael, and so began its fall. In the process, we lost millions of our brothers, the members of the Ten Tribes, who, according to Rabbi Akiva, โwill not return in the future.โ
>The second Jewish state was the Hasmonean kingdom during the Second Temple era. It existed for 77 years as a united and sovereign kingdom. In the eighth decade of its life, the kingdom was torn apart by infighting, which led the representatives of the two camps claiming the crown to approach Pompey in Syria, each one begging him to agree to make them vassals of Rome. And so the sovereign Hasmonean state became a degraded protectorate state of Rome, devoid of proud Jewish sovereignty.
>The establishment of the State of Israel 75 years ago is the third attempt to overcome the โcurse of the eighth decade,โ which defeated the two previous Jewish states. We are currently in the midst of our third opportunity, but it is uncertain whether we will survive it. Before our eyes, we are witnessing fratricidal hatred โ and right now it really doesnโt matter who started it, because both sides bear equal responsibility for the terrible social chaos that is eating us apart, just as Bourguiba predicted. All the warning signs of a national catastrophe are flashing red. And donโt under any circumstances count on the possibility of a fourth chance. No.1844483

Yemeni Minister of Information, Dhaifallah Al-Shami, to Al-Mayadeen:
The goal we started with is that the operations have a beginning and will not end until the war and the siege on Gaza are stopped.
Operations in the Mediterranean will begin soon, and there is precise monitoring; the coming days will witness announcements about operations.
For every weapon used by the enemy, we quickly develop a weapon to overcome it.
The number of fighters ready to join the battle could soon reach one million.
The zionist enemy is deceitful, so we are a supportive front and we monitor how the cessation of aggression will be implemented if agreed upon.
Any entity in the world that has connections with the zionist entity will see its trade affected and will become a target for our armed forces.
All temptations were offered to the people and leadership in Yemen in exchange for stopping support for Palestine, but we see no value in that.<br /> <br /> We cannot compromise our position on Palestine until victory is achieved, despite all the temptations.
I doubt that Qatar would decide to expel the leadership of Hamas from its territory. We open our doors to all fighters in Sanaa.</strong>
A leadership source in Hamas to Al-Jazeera:
The occupation obstructs reaching an agreement by insisting on continuing the war. The zionist entity seeks to establish a framework agreement to recover its prisoners without linking this to ending the aggression.
The movement will not agree in any way to an agreement that does not explicitly include stopping the war on Gaza.
The enemy bears full responsibility for insisting on entering Rafah instead of stopping the aggression and comprehensively withdrawing.
Our information confirms that Netanyahu personally obstructs reaching an agreement for personal reasons.
The resistance is entrusted with the sacrifices of our people and will not neglect them under any circumstances.
A senior Hamas leader to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed:
Hamas will not deliver its response to the mediators tonight. There are still a number of inquiries that need clarification from the mediators.
A leadership source in Hamas to Al-Arabi:
We are keen to reach an agreement, but not at any price.
The intransigence of the occupation could disrupt the negotiations, and Netanyahu bears full responsibility.
Netanyahu is evasive and is lying to the families of the prisoners, to his government, and to the world.

Rachel Corrie's college commits to divesting from 'Israel', dad proud
In a historic move amid a wave of rising encampments across US universities, Evergreen State College administrators in Olympia, Washington, have signed a deal with pro-Palestine protestors to commit to divestment from "Israel".
How is this historic? Not only is this the first US university to commit to divestment, but this college is the institution that 23-year-old slain activist Rachel Corrie attended.
In exchange for removing the encampment, administrators promised to publicly call for a ceasefire and look into divestment from companies that benefit from โgross human rights violationsโ by "Israel" and the occupation of Palestine, according to The Cooper Point Journal.
The signed memorandum was the result of a five-hour negotiation process as it joins Brown University and Northwestern University being some of the first schools to strike a deal with protesters.
Not only so, but the college agreed to stop study-abroad trips to "Israel" and it called for the creation of several groups including โGrant Acceptance Policyโ and โCivilian Oversight of the Police Departmentโ task forces.
โCriteria would include such considerations as whether grants facilitate illegal occupations abroad, limit free speech, or support oppression of minorities,โ the MOU states.
In response, Corrieโs father, Craig Corrie, said in a statement: โIโm proud of the students at Evergreen (for) the action that they took and the way they managed to get those concerns across,โ adding: โIโm proud of the faculty that worked with them and the administration they negotiated with that those concerns could be acknowledged.โ
Craig Corrie recalled witnessing the 1968 protests as a result of young men being drafted to fight in the US' war on Vietnam.
โThese students now, itโs not about self-preservation for them,โ Craig Corrie said. โItโs about seeing the other and understanding that could be them and understanding the connection to the other so many thousands of miles away. Thatโs really inspiring to me. Iโm incredibly sorry that itโs necessary, but Iโm glad theyโre there.โ
Over 2,000 people have been arrested on US university campuses in the past three weeks as they took part in the pro-Palestine protests urging their universities to divest from all investments linked to the Israeli occupation.
This comes as a New York police officer fired his gun inside Columbia University's Hamilton Hall on the night of April 30 as officers moved onto pro-Palestine protesters.
On May 2, Northwestern and Brown universities were joined by student organizers at Rutgers University in New Jersey and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in coming into agreements with the administrators to stop encampments amid student demands of divestment.
However, the night of May 2 still witnessed scenes of police rushing into campuses attempting to stop pro-Palestine protesters in universities.
Majority of Israelis prefer ceasefire deal over Rafah invasion: Poll
A recent poll revealed Friday that the majority of Israeli settlers prefer a ceasefire agreement with Hamas over an Israeli military invasion of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, where 1.2 million people have sought refuge, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported.
The poll, conducted by the Lazar Institute for Studies, found that 54% of the surveyed settlers prefer reaching a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian Resistance group over the Rafah invasion.
The breakdown shows that 79% of voters for right-wing parties support the invasion of Rafah, while 81% of voters for left-wing and centrist parties prefer a swap deal.
It also found that "38% prefer the military operation over reaching a deal, while 8% have no specific opinion on the matter."
For months, Israeli settlers and families of the captives held in the Gaza Strip have taken to the streets frustrated by the failure of the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to retrieve the remaining captives militarily and through negotiations.
But Netanyahu said Tuesday that an invasion of Rafah will take place regardless of whether an exchange deal with Hamas was reached or not.
"The idea that we will stop the war before all its goals have been achieved is irrelevant. We will enter Rafah and destroy Hamas battalions there, with or without an agreement [on hostages], to achieve absolute victory," he told families of the captives held in the Strip.
But the United States reiterated Friday its objections to the looming invasion, saying that "Israel" has not presented a plan to protect the civilians sheltering in Rafah.
"Absent such a plan, we can't support a major military operation going into Rafah because the damage it would do is beyond what's acceptable," the US Secretary of States said.
This comes amid ongoing talks over a ceasefire taking place in the Egyptian capital Cairo under the mediation of host Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
Hamas said Friday its delegation was heading to Cairo on Saturday to resume talks, as the movement is expected to deliver a response in the coming days to a proposal to halt fighting for 40 days and exchange Israeli captives for Palestinian detainees.
The Palestinian Resistance group pointed out that it acted in a positive spirit while studying the ceasefire proposal it recently received, adding that its delegation is heading to Cairo in the same spirit to try and reach an agreement.
It also affirmed that Palestinian Resistance factions are determined to reach an agreement that would secure the demands of the Palestinian people which include stopping the Israeli aggression against them and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza along with the return of the displaced Palestinians to their homes, reconstruction and reaching a captives deal.
'Israel' refuses to adhere to permanent ceasefire: Senior sources
Senior Palestinian Resistance sources told Al Mayadeen that the negotiations face a major obstacle due to the Israeli refusal to adhere to a permanent ceasefire.
Hamas insists that there will be no agreement without an explicit text on a permanent ceasefire, the sources added.
On another note, a senior source in the Palestinian Resistance factions affirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Resistance leadership is exhibiting high flexibility in indirect negotiations to reach a deal that achieves the Palestinian people's demands of a complete halt to Israeli aggression and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
The source added that the Resistance reacted positively to the proposal set by mediators, emphasizing that contact and negotiations are ongoing between Resistance leaders and mediators, aimed at reaching a serious and actual deal.
Reportedly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli officials are constantly failing in negotiations, as Netanyahu is "stubborn, does not care about his hostages or their families' demands, and is challenging the world to drag on his genocidal war."
The source further addressed the Rafah invasion, stressing that the occupation's threats "will not break the Palestinian people's will or the Resistance's, and will not force the Resistance to succumb in negotiations, as its stance remains firm."
The Resistance, the source stated, is prepared to protect the people of Palestine and repel any aggression while calling on the world to stop the fascist occupation and its genocide in Gaza.
This comes amid constant efforts to reach a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal, as well as Hamas and the Resistance factions' review of the current proposal to the agreement.
Earlier today, a Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to continue the mediated talks with the Israeli occupation.
Hamas confirmed on May 3 that it acted in a positive spirit while studying the ceasefire proposal it recently received adding that its delegation will go to Cairo in the same spirit to try and reach an agreement.
It added that the Palestinian resistance movement and forces are determined to reach an agreement that would secure the demands of the Palestinian people which include stopping the Israeli aggression against them and the withdrawal of IOF troops along with the return of the displaced Palestinians to their homes, reconstruction and reaching a captives deal.

Lebanon: The Islamic Resistance targets the Israeli radar and al-Rahb sites
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah continues to target the occupation sites and settlements in northern occupied Palestine, in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their resistance.
In its latest operations, the resistance announced targeting the radar site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms, with missile weapons.
They also targeted spy equipment at the Israeli monk site, opposite the southern town of Aita al-Shaab, with appropriate weapons and directly hit them, according to the resistance statement.
With artillery shells, the resistance announced the targeting of Israeli occupation soldiers, while they were moving inside the Israeli site of Bayad Blida, opposite the southern town of Blida.
It also targeted the Metulla site, its garrison, and its spy equipment with appropriate weapons.
In addition, the resistance published scenes of the resistanceโs targeting of two buildings in which the occupation โarmyโ soldiers were stationed in the Shtula settlement in northern occupied Palestine.
The Israeli Kan channel had confirmed that whoever remains alive in northern occupied Palestine is due to the decision of Hezbollah, which monitors every movement on the border at all times.
In a report on the situation in northern occupied Palestine, the channelโs correspondent in the north, Robbie Hammerschlag, said, โThere is great damage in Metulla,โ and added: โOnly when you are here, can you understand the extent to which you are exposed.โ
The reporter reported that the entire settlement is under the supervision of Hezbollah, and has been receiving many missiles in the past days, stressing that โthe damage is very heavy.โ
The Israeli channel's correspondent added: "My very presence here in order to present a report is because Hezbollah decided not to kill me. This is the daily reality in the north. Whoever remains alive is because of Hezbollah's decision, which monitors every movement on the northern border all the time." .

>>1844628>no one is apologizing for either the zionists or the british empire, i dont know why you feel the need to deny that there was ever any variation in type and degree of support>>1844712>There was variation as you said. But the variation on the whole didn't matter as the British ultimately gave the Zionists the support they needed to win every step of the way.The British allowed Jewish immigration after taking over the area from the Ottomans, and there was a major Arab revolt in 1936 which was anti-British (in part because the British were allowing Jewish immigration), but which was ill-timed, as the British surged 100,000 troops into Palestine and suppressed it. That basically wiped out the extant Palestinian armed groups, while the British began arming and training Jews in the area to serve as their proxies. The plot twist is that the Jews did not trust the British, because in 1939 the British issued the "White Paper" which restricted Jewish immigration and settlement again to regain support from the Arabs. Then the Holocaust in Europe occurred. Another important event that isn't part of the Zionist narrative is the Battle of El-Alamein when the British army defeated Rommel's forces in Egypt. So when the '48 war came, the Jews were better organized and trained.
Both the popular Zionist and Palestinian narratives emphasize and de-emphasize different events. Zionist historiography de-emphasizes the Battle of El-Alamein, because that would mean the proto-state they were developing ultimately survived because of the British. Palestinian historiography de-emphasizes the Arab revolt in '36 because it was a disaster that created the conditions for them to lose the '48 war. Plot twist again: Israel's major source of support (weapons) in the '48 war was the USSR via Czechoslovakia… because Stalin saw Israel as a potential ally against… the British. Also there were many Zionists who were socialists at that time (and there were Arab leaders in that war who said they were fighting atheistic communism).
Yeah, so. Then there was a break between Israel and the Soviet Union by the mid-1950s and France took over as Israel's primary arms supplier. But what was going on with the French at the time? The war in Algeria. That war ends in 1962 with an FLN victory. When does the PLO form? In 1964. Who do they take inspiration from and see as their model? The FLN. The PLO aligns with the Soviet Union, and then the U.S. later takes over from France as Israel's major arms supplier. I think it was in 1973 when the deal is finally sealed on the U.S. backing Israel. So now the Israel-Palestine conflict becomes part of the Cold War.
>>1840424>The right fucks themselves over by believing in an endless amount of stupid psychotic shit like Albert Pike and many other outright fabricated texts to the point they are the bedrock of their belief system, and the left fucks itself over by insisting that this is all actually in America's interests and so run around the internet lecturing Palestinians about them doing an antisemitism. I'm not sure that's it… like a lot of Palestinian solidarity orgs in the U.S. which say that Israel is a proxy for the U.S, or in essence some kind of American outpost in the Middle East, are led or influenced by Arab-Americans or Palestinian intellectuals who live in the West. The left in the U.S. seems like it's taking its lessons and its history from the Palestinians far more than the anti-Zionist right does (because the left actually listens to Palestinians and reads their books), and seeing Israel as a proxy for the U.S. is totally consistent with this whole narrative, because there has always been a foreign empire or power supporting the Jews in Palestine and keeping the Arabs down. Before the U.S., it was the French, and before them the Soviets, and then the British.
One problem, however, is that the Israelis just don't see it that way. This has no effect on them. For one… most of the Jews there at this point are from other Arab countries and are basically refugees or descended from them, including from… Algeria… after the FLN won. And augmented by Russians in the 80s and 90s, but nobody says Israel is a proxy for Russian or Algerian or Yemeni interests (see video: these are Yemeni Jews who live in Israel). There's no real constituency in Israel that this narrative can appeal to and thus split Israeli society. Israel is divided politically over all kinds of stuff but there's no real "left" position vis-a-vis the Palestinians anymore.
