just watched it, twas ok, but yeah most of the songs are mediocre, the disney shit is… disney shit. Basically the best is the first adam one, with the radio demon vs vid demon close second. Most good songs were the duel ones when I think about it, radio demon vs lucifer was kinda cool too, and the #bitch vs overlords. But the played straight disney shit was just booooriiiing ear sore (the arms dealer singing about fighting with love was SO cringe). Cant imagine recommending this.
(just remembered the we're all loosers one, which was good and felt more like a good disney parody)
The theme is interesting enough, poking fun at the heaven/hell inherent contradiction (so we're the good guys but we just let the bad suffer forever and even indulge in some mass random killing, and in hell you play your cards right and you can get super powerful and indulge and enjoy your evil), as we get one guy get actually redeemed im pretty curious to see if adam end up in hell.
Although Im actually more interested in the power dynamics and politics of hell (well i just like politicking in series). The video vs radio rivalry was pretty good, and I like the theme of newer vices like tv radio and social media being the new power in hell and shitting on old demons.
The transition from "let try to redeem some demons" to "those crazy angel fucks are hellbent on slaughtering us, lets make a stand and fuck them up" felt good. But a bit disappointing to have daddy lucifer come and handle everything in the end and back to plan 1.
They seem to have some clear outline for the follow up of the story at least, with lilith coming back (and a deal being broken… stop organizing hell to fight back and you get to enjoy heaven beaches?) and being hinted at having alastor on leash (which finally give a good explanation for why he help with the hotel thing, and having a favor with the daughter should help him get freed)
Oh and I liked the art mostly.
Hope theres more to the theme "being good is actually fighting back for whats right"

>>40271Yesterday I wrote I liked Hazbin more than Helluva Boss, but today after watching the second season of the latter, I retract that statement. Hazbin feels more constrained and by-the-numbers, probably due to being published by Prime, so there might have been some meddling. Helluva Boss on the other hand is so unapologetically horny, but also has more hearth, the romance between Blitz and his sugar daddy is more nuanced than anything in Hazbin.

>>40280I mean IMP literally kills people for money, but then again they know that the afterlife is real so that changes the morality of killing humans I think. Most of the hellborn demons do seem pretty shitty to each other, or at least tend towards the sins of the ring they're from. Imps are shown as being obsessed with violence (wrath), succubi are always horny (lust), the shark people from greed seem heavily involved with theft and fraud, etc. Still though, they definitely made an effort to at least make the main characters likable and that requires them to not be total monsters despite being literal hellspawn.

<Jehovah, who of all the good gods adored by men was certainly the most jealous, the most vain, the most ferocious, the most unjust, the most bloodthirsty, the most despotic, and the most hostile to human dignity and liberty — Jehovah had just created Adam and Eve, to satisfy we know not what caprice; no doubt to while away his time, which must weigh heavy on his hands in his eternal egoistic solitude, or that he might have some new slaves. He generously placed at their disposal the whole earth, with all its fruits and animals, and set but a single limit to this complete enjoyment. He expressly forbade them from touching the fruit of the tree of knowledge. He wished, therefore, that man, destitute of all understanding of himself, should remain an eternal beast, ever on all-fours before the eternal God, his creator and his master. But here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge. Too high to find the post talking about the music.
I wasn't in love with it at first. Charlie's song in the first episode really didn't grab me. Her as a character really doesn't grab my either tbh. She's just sweet? That's fine. She and her songs are fine, but just.
Everyone else's songs kind of grew on me though. I kind of have to set aside Keith David though because he's in a league of his own as a voice actor. I don't feel like he does anything special in this, but as always the man is a pleasure to listen to. That's a gift from god, right there. He's the sort of person that companies should be training AIs on, because that's the platonic ideal of a Man's Voice. It definitely helps though that he is an exceptional actor. He's Goliath in the Gargoyles cartoon, and you get to listen to David get really theatrical with his deliveries, real fun.
So it was hearing You're a Loser over and over again that got me listening to the other songs repeatedly too, and the more I heard them the more they grew on me. Lucifer's song is a lot of fun too. The different qualities in Lucifer and Radio Demon's voice has a nice audio textural contrast? That's something it shares with Losers too I think.
Angel's voice is really weird. I kind of hate it, but I also kind of like it. It kind of feels like being scratched in the back of the sinus with a really long needle. It's vaguely uncomfortable but not exactly unpleasant or painful, but the itch it happens to scratch is pleasant.
Like his line "I'm a loser, honey, a schmoozer and a dummy," the way he says "a dummy" and "I'm not alone," it feels like it's way too high and sharp a note, like it should be an annoying sound, but the aural shape of it is overall pleasant.

Of course you would adore female youth. Hebegynophilia is an unfortunate msle pathology.

>>40385>Hebegynophilia I searched that word and it doesnt exist.
And yes, boys are defective until they make themselves undefective, which takes time and effort. Girls on the other hand are perfect in a sense that world is yet to crush their soul. Look at a group of teenagers, usually the girls will be dressed in an interesting expressive manner, while boys all look like shit. As they age men find their style, women lose theirs.
>>40386I am not making some redpill "wall" argument, I think the core of it lies in girls and women being more and faster socialized. So they are already civilized people while boys are still feral, but in adulthood that turns into oversocialisation and loss of individual uniqueness.

Also, I hang out with older people. Older men are kinda sloppy and overestimate their virtue.
Older women are the opposite.
Teenage girls are "perfect" because youre conditioned to look only at their physical beauty.
If you put young women in industrial situations, they tend to take the easy way out Theyre less willing to get heor hands dirty.

Boys are more athletic and active. Unfortuneatley our chivalric Anglo society pathologises this.
Girls are "socialised" by mere gossiping. But that doesnt mean theyre "civilised."
Its just that girls are given more sympathy.
If boys were to act like girls in terms of perfection you woukd pathologise them as "faggots".
